      He is accomplished fighter he has already done everything, that's why he's not annoyed and fighting over decision, imagine going to the top and having dream to become champion for one or another reason, you do beat your opponent but judges steal it away from you, they are taking away your dream and setting you back, I haven't seen a single person that was robbed like that and came back stronger

    after the interview, you can tell that he kind of knew he could’ve did things different and won. He knew he lost but his coaches keep feeding him lies. It was a close fight, but he did lose. It’s hard having to fight a huge, athletic and lengthy guy like Aljo. Henry did extremely well.

      Yea, I was rooting for Henry and after round 2 or 3 after coaches said to him that it's looking good I thought "they are afraid to tell him he's probably losing on the scorecards, that's not good". Still, it was a great performance after such a long break

      You don’t win a gold medal and multiple championships in the UFC listening to yes men. Henry knows people are just tellin him what they think he wants to hear after a close tough fight. But what makes winners is knowing that fact. It’s what they think you want to hear. Hell watch the tape and realize his mistakes. I wouldn’t wanna be the next dude to fight triple C that’s for sure.

    The way Henry doesn’t just eat up what his team is saying… he’s eager to take responsibility when he could easily act like he got snubbed. I believe it was a close fight that could have gone either way. I believe his team is being honest when they say they think he won. Most importantly I believe in Henry Cejudo in whatever decisions he makes from here. Thank you for sharing this with us champ. I’ve been admiring your story since 08 🤼

      indeed. father time will have a big say, if he decides to continue fighting. He said he basically will only fight for the title, and will not "fight to earn another shot". He came damn close; but, he even said himself, that he blew some opportunities in there (should have reacted differently). At the top, millimeters can make the difference. He has nothing to prove. His attitude in this video says it all.

    I love the way Henry doesn't just accept what his teammates are saying (about him winning) and kept saying "I have to rewatch the fight". I think you lost, champ, but what an incredible human being you are. Congrats on a legendary career and whatever you want to do next - I'm sure you will be the best in the world at it.

      100% agree. They are doing him no favors by lying to him. The bottomline is that Henry fought a competitive fight but he did not come close to winning this fight. And that's ok. We all know Henry is better than this and ring rust is real and Aljo is no joke.

      @@THEMMASOYRU Henry didn't do enough to win, in any round. He didn't do enough to beat the champion. But that's ok. It was a competitive fight and he could have won but ring rust is real and he just didn't "turn it on" in the fight.
      I'm not going to lie about it or try to spin this in a more positive way to avoid the truth. I don't think his team is doing him any favors now by trying to tell him he won. He didn't. It wasn't a robbery. He clearly didn't win. The Henry who fought Aljo wasn't even close to the best Cejudo version, no matter how good Henry claims he felt in training. That means with some adjustments, Cejudo wins this fight decisively.

    Henry earned my respect here. As a "newer" UFC Fan (started with Stipe v. Francis early 2021) all I saw was the online stuff but after this fight I'm not a believer. His interviews leading up were great & his mindset even in defeat is top tier. Hope he comes back & fights again!

    I was rooting for you, but your team's gotta be more real with you and be willing to give you bad news. Telling you that you were up 2-1 after the third was a mistake even if they believed it to be true. After a rewatch with slow-mo, you took rounds 2 and 5, but lost the other 3. It was very close but Aljo definitely won. I agree with what you said about needing to make adjustments, we all knew that's what this fight would boil down to. Hope to see you compete again champ! Maybe Merab and then an Aljo rematch to start your original warpath plan?(O'malley/Volk)

      The guys 36. Came back to win this title. Fight omalley and then fight for 145 lb title.
      This is an insurmountable roadblock due to his age.
      I’m sure he regrets those 3 years off and now he’s too old to get what he always wanted even when he retired.
      He fought well but just wasn’t enough even was taken down 4 times.
      It was zero him previous 18

    Little underwhelming, but a solid fight and a close decision. I honestly feel Henry's corner stiffed him by telling him he was up at the end of the 3rd. Maybe ill feel different on a rewatch, but it felt clear Aljo took the 1st and 3rd

      I expected some better strategies from Triple C. We knew Aljo would touch and run the whole fight, thats what he does. Henry needed more work on the ground I think.

His combos that have landed in the past weren’t covering the same this time. Maybe a similar fight to first round of moraes where that long range was making it difficult

    Henry so inspired by the way you fought. Not many people can come off a 3 year lay off and just put up an extremely close competitive fight with the current ranked champion of the world. I truly thought it was 2-2 going into the 5th and then you dominated that last round I thought you had done enough clearly to win. Anyways. Do whatever you want! You have nothing more to prove.     I've seen many fighters reactions lose backstage. But for some reason, this is the most I've been able to really sense and feel what the losing fighter was going through. Henry looked like someone shove a stake through his chest. Obviously those other fighters who I've seen lost were probably devastated, but this one looks so authentic more the rest for some reason. You can really sense the pain, anger, frustration, confusion, and disappointment in this video. Amazin video.

    It was a great fight and very close. I thought Aljo edged it but it was competitive af. Really like seeing these moments from fighters. No bluster or facade, just honesty and emotions. Also love the no excuses and the focus on what could have been done better. That's how you get better.

      Fights are based on damage. Aljo had more significant strikes, takedowns, harder strikes, and the takedowns that he did score were slightly more meaningful

      I’m not a fan of aljo. Henry I wasn’t a fan of during his fighting days as like aljo. He had the early stoppage wins against Cruz who was out for 4 years and tj.
      And gifted the decision with mm
      Aljo has some gifts as well.
      This was closer to 4-1 for aljo. Than a split.
      One of the refs scores the 5th for aljo. That’s the only round henry definitely won and if he gave it to Henry. Henry would have won on the cards.
      Just bizarre scoring.

      I think he meant 3 lol. I gave Henry 2, 3 and 5. It could have gone either way. Had the one judge scored it for Henry in round 5 he would have won. Idk what these judges are scoring anymore and neither do the fighters. Makes you wonder if open scoring should actually be a thing.

    I respect whatever decision you choose. And if there's anything you've shown the fans, its that attaining gold is never just a straight shot. More often than not, it's more downs than it is ups. You wouldn't be where you are if you had just given up after that first DJ fight. I wish you'd continue, but I also understand that time isn't on your side + the amount of time you sacrifice being away from your family is a lot - again, I respect whatever path you choose and thank you for putting on a show.

    With all due respect to Henry, I think it’s important for his team to be honest, he didn’t win the fight. The grappling Henry slightly edged it, but sterling easily won the striking and the grappling was too close for me to give the entire fight to Henry. But I respect both athletes. Sometimes it’s hard to see what’s actually going on, a lot of the time us fans have a better view of the fight then people ringside. Aljo won fair and square. Aljo had 4 takedowns not 2, even Henry watching this it seems like he kinda knows he lost, and I’m a Henry fan I wanted him to win.

I also can make a lot more points, Henry’s ground game wasn’t effective, yes he took him down but this age in 2023 you have to turn that into something, a submission threat, ground and pound something. Henry didn’t do that, sterlings defense was effective and Sterlings clinch work was also much more effective then Henry’s.

    What I like about Triple C is whether it was a close decision in his favor or Aljo's, he's hard on himself because he didn't clearly take it like he expected of himself. Yeah he can make a case he edged it on the cards, but it wasn't convincing so all his team telling him you won isn't something he's latching onto.
