This was probably the best episode yet. Feels like we're finally getting to some meaty bits in the story, now that all the initial intro quests are wrapped up (bar the Onyx quest, of course).

I love this show. The whole group has such great chemistry and are so much fun to watch!
This series has been Great! This episode definitely stands out. I think all 4 members of the team have been doing a great job with role playing concepts.They are not necessarily doing what is "best" or "good" in the meta game but trying to stay true to their characters. I like that allot. K'thriss definitely did a great job this game with the murder mystery and becoming attached to the evil gate/god thingamajig.Walnut's creative changes with the dead bodies was also hilarious and creative. I'm looking forward to future episodes!!!

1:52:27 there is audio that says "Get to work" which totally creeped me out, as I am watching this while at work... alone.
I thought K'thriss would have Devil's Sight, it's one of the most useful warlock class features which do allow seeing within magical darkness. It turns a fairly useful 2nd level utility spell (Darkness) into an awesome buff/debuff spell for the warlock. Donaar certainly can't be immune to acid though, merely resistant.
KKDragonLord Devil Sight is amazing, but I think K'thriss took Eyes of the Runekeeper and Agonizing Blast. Devil Sight+Darkness is a fun combo, but doesn't seem to be the playerstyle K'thriss is going for.
Having Acid Resistance is usually enough to prevent damage from slight ground effects. Rosie got hurt because she doesn't have real shoes. Besides, it feels very in character for Donaar to believe and declare immunity to Acid, especially if he only has resistance.
KKDragonLord it doesn't make biological sense for him to not be immune to acid. It would get all over him every time he used his breath attack.
The only logical explanation would be that he is immune to the specific type of acid he breaths, but not other types of acid.
I'm gonna need a proper musical version of that opening song, done in the style of the "C Team" intro, also animated by Kris.

Can someone explain to me what the princess is doing when she "claps" at the very end? Is she high-fiving herself? I didn't pick up on why that was so profound.
Yes, that's exactly what she was doing, and the 'self-highfive' was established fairly early on as being part of Donaar's shtick... At the time it was unclear whether this was meant to convey some unrevealed personal connection between the two, or that it was an intentional slight against him by stepping on his 'branding'. ;)
I noticed that kthriss has -1 damage on his sickle attack, cant he attack with dex? Or is sickle not a finesse weapon?

I EAT UP the k'thriss mystery entity stuff. I'm so bummed that he couldn't investigate that place more and learn more. Kris was eating that stuff from the palm of Jerry's hands, just as I was.
Probably going to have to wait a couple more episodes to get more like this time. :/

Yay, Pass Without Trace has been adjudicated properly! Except for the fact that its range is "Self" and only affects creatures, so it would be affecting those who were within 30ft radius of Rosie when she cast it (as long as her concentration doesn't break) for up to an hour.
It's not really an area spell, despite initially being described as such. The 30ft radius thing is only to select the eligible targets at the time of casting and once the targets are chosen the effect stays with them for the full duration, much like Bless. The caster can't affect new targets on subsequent rounds, etc. The spell description is weird and counterintuitive, it's quite misleading in various ways I think.
Donaar starts to learn there are lots of "supposed to" in DnD but in the end it's the DM who decides. I love this game.

If I'd made an NPC as self righteous as Jerry played that dragonborn princess I wouldn't have been able to stop my players going in for the kill. They might let her walk out the tavern but would have ambushed the cart as they drove away or attacked the palace at night.
Nothing my players can stand less than an NPC who needs to be brought down a peg or two.

Yeah he was somewhat lacking this episode. Every character has their ups and downs though.

If I was the dm I would habe told donnar that he ruined his sword against the rock wall and did no damage to the wall itself. A sword is the absolute worst tool to use in that situation.
