I love Patrick's facial expressions in this. He really nailed the "staring into the distance, spacing out" look I used as a teen
Man, Patrick is quickly becoming my favorite D&D player of all time, dang.
I was kind of disappointed with his Critical Role performance, up until around his... third? appearance, and we started to see the nuance, the backstory start to come out. He seems to be playing a very different character in that game, the kind I'd actually like to play with (as opposed to his PA characters, which I enjoy /watching/, buuuuuut...)
I see what you mean. To me, Ac Inc is more of an entertainment show mostly made to make us smile and laugh our asses off and I still have to watch the Critical Role games, but as an overall I think he is very nice mix of on point comedic timing and dramatic characterization.
If you haven't seen it still, you're definitely missing out. Amazing drama, action, comedy. It has everything.
Really what it boils down to is what you like more, if your deep story driven then Critical Roll is good but it can become rather mellow dramatic at times. Especially Keyleth, but its really enjoyable the way Matthew Mercer paints a picture. Now Acquisitions Inc.'s story isn't necessarily as deep, but all the characters mesh so well and in their own right can be either funny or darker. Scanlan and Grog are really the only humorous ones on Critical Roll, or at least really are the only one's who pull it off flawless. However on Acquisitions Inc. it takes Chris Perkins to make the mood more serious, because the others are so chaotic neutral its hard for them to become emotionally involved to their circumstances. Both shows bring something to the table, and it would be a loss to lose either group.
I hope you don't mind the correction (2 months after the fact as well) but it's melodramatic. Agree with what you said though, have a nice daaaaay.
Patrick's beard is just painfully majestic.

Also loving how much of the adventure so far involves statues of nyash.

I've yet to see the rest of the episode, but I bet this gag is the funniest moment of it.

Love the dynamics, highly entertaining. All players and DM are witty and energetic, the banter is strong.
In no particular order walnut, kthris, rosie, donaar and driebus are all brilliant to watch. Walnut's quick contract skills are to be admired and the group trying to make each other laugh is so entertaining! This show must continue.

As much as I enjoy KKC, if I had to choose between getting Doors of Stone or watching Pat play on D&D streams, I think I'd have to pick the D&D. He's so damn good at playing his characters and very off-the-cuff humorous.

That's what I love about D&D. Acquisitions Incorporated started out as a gag. The AI symbol came about much later. Now, Jerry inverted it, getting VI, and invented a group called The Six. Details building upon details over the course of a decade and arriving, finally, at that clever little turn. Everything you do matters, even a joke.
I did much the same thing with an NPC. Came up with the name Jimothy Francine Quarnsworth and because the name amused me I made it into an NPC. Over a year later, I'm putting the finishing touches on the first ten family members, all part of the most well-known family in the empire, all of which have names like Fredebert Larissa Quarnsworth, Donthony Karen Quarnsworth, and the twins Patodore Janice Quarnsworth and Theorick Janine Quarnsworth. And don't get me started on the names of their wives, all from the Worthworthy family. Any detail, any joke, any *thing* can become relevant as long as you have the imagination for it.
It's a small thing, but I love it.
So Rosie's class is M.O.N.K, has Kate mentioned why it's presented as an acronym instead of just monk? Does it stand for like "Mother Of Numerous Kids" or something?
No mention as to what it refers to yet. You may be right though.

Jerry is such an artist with the way he's writing the story arcs from small to big in a whole new way. Exploring each facet of life. It's like that first vampire that became Strahd Von Sarovich. It's not just a vampire, it's not just a goblin, it's not just a cat. They're their own entities with their own lives and their own stories, of the utmost significance to themselves, and for us, to the story. I can't wait to see what Jerry does with this goblin. I can't wait to see what's next. I'd love to see the storyline with the Gnolls. I notice the occasional Githyanki reference, I'd love to see an episode with astral projection as a plot device. The amount of satisfaction I get from this is superb.
The word play in this episode is off the wagon!

Up until now it didn't really seem like Donaar was really into it and honestly wasn't my favorite but he damn near cried when that egg was crushed and I was right there with him! Compleat 180 Well done Jerry!

Something I just noticed, and actually find rather interesting - Driebus doesn't actually have a high enough intelligence to have multiclassed into Wizard in RAW. I imagine Jerry just doesn't enforce the attribute requirements - but I'd like to think Pat argued that he should be allowed to do it, and Jerry caved, just as Chris usually does. XD
I just started watching the C team series this month and that has been bugging me the entire episode. I'd have to double check, but I don't think he had the stats to multiclass into sorcerer either.

Donaar's Command/Shield of Faith turn was pretty good, but would have been better if Jerry gave him an Attack of Opportunity on that goblin & warg that he made flee on his turn.
