Oh man, every time Donaar acid vomits I just totally lose it. I can't stand the sound in real life, it makes me sick to hear other people throwing up but when he does it I just die with the laughs.

I love how Rosie throws herself headfirst into her endeavors with little to no intelligence gathering beforehand. Could have gotten the skinny on Last Stone's Day from Propha, but the way things shake out ends up being so much more entertaining. Love the way Kate & the others roll play their characters.
I'm so glad I decided to watch this show. They players have an incredible dynamic and I love seeing them push each other to do whatever wild idea leaps into their minds. Kate encouraging Chris to use his tentacles to help lead to what has to be one of the funniest moments I've ever seen while playing D&D.

Great episode. A lot of laugh out loud moments for me. That Ligotti voice, "I got somthin' I wanna put inside ya."
"Rosie Beestinger are you going to tolerate this type of bullshit from this floppy, mouth studded, manta from the deep?" Giggles, "NO!" "I vault onto the cart and ride it into the mouth of the Cake Boss!" Rosie: High wisdom, low intelligence. Almost immediately gets eaten by a mouth monster. I love how insane this tiny old lady is.
I feel bad for Kiwi's player, all he wanted was to shoot something with his bow and they got into a fight right at the start of the next session.

K'thriss really wanting to use religion to sell cakes.
Being in that inn while these mooks try to host a festival would be both terrifying and hilarious. Glowing figures eating glowing cakes, giant dragon men smashing up the room, a little woman flipping throughout the kitchen flinging cakes around and a beetle explodes into eldritch tentacles. Then the dragon intimidates the room into glowing reviews. Oh and then it all ends with alligator tentacle horror porn. Honestly I think if I were one of those villagers I'd just assume I'd died and gone to some strange hell. Can't wait for next episode.
It would be fucking dope if Donaar's promo got cut directly to the boss Vince McDran and he got to make a charisma check to have help ported in from the front office in the form of beer bots, coin, or interns

I can't wait for the day when a guest player shows up playing Trevor's Canadian girlfriend. I just envision her wanting to confront Trevor because he left her with a testy STD (lycanthropy) and a pup in the oven. The only thing that could make it better is if her name was Maple Beestinger.
I haven't laughed this hard in a LONG, LONG time, the entire shitshow that is the cornerstones segment is just... amazing.

Haven't watched all the way through yet, but I had a thought on Donaar's Draconic Entitlement. It's the weakest of all the BIG powers the party has, so how about some psychic damage?
Draconic Entitlement
Target(s?) takes 3d6 psychic damage and makes a wisdom save (Vs Donaar's charisma). On failed save, the target(s?) must obey Donaar's command, even if it is to act against their interest or alignment (ie, hurt themselves or allies). On a successful save, the target(s?) take 2d6 psychic damage every round until they comply.
Thoughts?

I like their powers better when there's no roll (though K'Thriss's continual failure to control the tentacles is great). I think in combat, Draconic Entitlement should let him jump initiative and confer automatic advantage to the party or disadvantage to the enemy for a turn. Out of combat, it should make persuasion or intimidation checks automatically succeed.
SophiaG I like the initiative idea, as a characteristic of his entitled "me first" personality, but adv/disadv only accrue to +5/-5, it's not all that powerful. And I think it might overlap with some paladin features later on, but I'm not sure. I think giving Ryan a solid number/damage based ability would be best, since he's still pretty new, 21 sessions notwithstanding :)

yea. i really like this show but sometimes, like this one, there was (in my opinion) way too much mechanics info given to the players about the cooking challenge and too much meta gaming and planning. challenge DCs given ahead of time?

you'd think they'd do a basic Gather Info from townspeople or look it up in a book to find out: What's this holiday all about? Will there be pranks, costumes? opposite talk? pinching people who dont wear stones? Why did they do nothing but check out the recipes? What if you're supposed to make the disgusting recipe and throw it on people in certain costumes when they come in pretending to attack the clients?

pretty sure druids don't need to prepare spells; what ever's on the list is fair game, so long as you have the slots
In 5e, a character either has Spells Known, which are a subsection of the master list, or Spells Prepared, which can be changed at the start of each adventuring day. Druids have to prepare spells, but can prepare any spell from their master list.
might you point me to the page number for that one? just had a discussion with my group the other day about it
For Druid, check pg 66, and read the section titled "Preparing and Casting Spells" carefully. A Druid can prepare a number of their spells equal to Wis mod + Druid Level. Once one of these spells is prepared for the day, it is never not prepared and can be cast any number of times, but requires you to expend an appropriate Spell Slot.
Druids and Clerics can prepare off their master class list, Wizards prepare from the spells in their spell book, but can cast any Ritual in their spellbook without preparing it.
Compare this to the Bard and Sorcerer (pg 53 for Bard), who each have a list of Spells Known, with the total based on their level only. This list only can change when they level up.
If you've played D&D 3.5 or earlier versions (or Pathfinder), the big difference is that you aren't preparing singular uses of a spell per day, as long as a Druid, Cleric, or Wizard has a spell prepared, the spell stays prepared after they cast it, they only use up one of their Spell Slots until they take a long rest. Ritual spellcasting allows some spells prepared to be cast without expending a spell slot in exchange for taking more time.
Paladin spellcasting works closer to Clerics/Druids and Ranger spellcasting works closer to Bard/Sorcerer, and Warlock is also closer to Bard/Sorcerer, but works in a unique way. The best idea is to read the entire Spellcasting section for whatever class you a playing.
