Six Random WIX oil filters cut open

Let's see we have a few countries where WIX has there oil filters manufactured. of course USA, Mexico and South Korea. I'm sure there is more, the filters still seemed well built to WIX standards.

I probably have a good old 🔥bonfire with all the used old cut open wix filters plus the oily rag & cardboard

Fram Orange cans would be better since it has more cardboard, oops I mean pressed fiber board ends. 😅

My 5.7 GM LS1 uses made in Mexico wix, and my Kia Soul 2.0 uses Made in South Korea wix(similar to OEM)

Both as we know very well built filters.

10:38 ,its made by Mann& Hummel DongWoo in South Korea, they actually make OEM filters for both GM Korea ( GM Daewoo ) & also for Hyundai Mobis/KIA....Mann& Hummel has plants everywhere & is a global company, the head of Mann & Hummel Korea is the former head of US operations/WIX & Purolator

I didn't notice while I was making the video but the South Korean filter was very similar to the Genuine Hyundai filter. Both though are made very well.

I like the older model WIX filters that was made in USA before they became M&H ,when it was part of DANA ,those was built real well & no sloppy glue either & real springs

Wix is not what it used to be, I recently bought a Wix XP, which was made in China.

Yes WIX has sure become more of a dumpster fire since Mann Hummel took over. Can't really rely on made in America anymore if there's a chance it will come from another country. Thanks Bud.
