Just a abnormal game playing, fishing, car fixing kind of guy. My dad was a mechanic and from helping him work on cars I grew to enjoy fixing just about anything. My game playing came about with my first Atari 2600 and Asteroids. Now in my later age I still enjoy gaming and working on vehicles. Just glad to have my videos watched and channel grow. Thank you all who watch my videos.

It wasn't easy but I finally have the impeller installed and I'm not over doing what doesn't have to be fixed. I think I should start just fixing what needs to be fixed and don't mess with trying to make it perfect.

I've given you another bad review now you are six stars for being boring and slow
I once had a 2018 Honda civic hatch manual and 1.5 turbo. Should of kept it.😊
Yes you should of, but I believe you wanted more power and bought a Mustang GT which didn't go so well.
I think the premium guard are built better. Ive cut them open side by side. I was blown away at the build quality of the premium guard. Really uniform clean and top materials. Better silicone seal. Better byoass valve design. Just better in every way
I'll compare them in a future video, both are built well.
Honda bunpers are all pretty much all the same . Once you know where the clips are it comes right off . they are really just cosmetic to make it all look pretty 😂
There ready to fall off from some videos I've seen.😂
@@crazybillsgarage I don't take much , especially when it is -30 😂

FYI that Hyundai pronounced "Hun-day".
Thanks 👍
My favorite line is Bill saying "Its gotten out of hand here". Just so you know, I was rooting for you, Bill.
Thanks Omar, sometimes it does get out of hand here, if not very busy.😉
I've used quite a few of these Protec WIX filters, mostly in PXL51515 but PXL57502 as well and I've cut them all open, and they all still look good going through an oil change interval. I used a lot of the old Protec branded as well and the construction is a little different inside. I've never seen one with the bypass stuck open to one side either or that much glue on anything. I buy them by the 12 pack from Rockauto and have become my favorite to buy for an economy filter as I have found they seem to hold up better than some more expensive filters I have used in the past.
Glad to hear that they stand up well, I can't really find much of them used around where I live. It's a lot of Fram around here.
@@crazybillsgarage My experience is they have held up just as well as the regular black can WIX filters.
@MattsRageFitGarage so right on that.
Damn! 20 min to answer 1 question 🙋
I am always a talker, 😅
Little bit of grease goes a long way.😅
It helps, thanks Ted.
That looks almost identical to a Fram Synthetic Endurance oil filter that they sell at Walmart here in the USA.
That could possibly be very close since Champ labs and Fram are both owned by First brand.
Nice video Bill. I can appreciate the lady asking for her old filter back. Nearly 50 years ago a friend of mine , father taught me to always , always get your used parts back from a shop.
Getting your old parts back keeps them a little bit more honest.
Hell yeah! Exactly the video I was looking for. I'm new to Hyundais and I am now learning that these vehicles are very particular about their engine components. They tend to prefer OEM whenever possible.
Just so happens that the Hyundai oil filter is built top-notch, I use those filters on my wife's Hyundai elantra gt. 👍
Bill knows how to " PUMP YOU UP !" 😂
I keep thinking of the SNL skit.😂
@@crazybillsgarage Yep , Hanz and Franz 😂
@LooneyFarmGuy they were great.😃
Yeah it was good.😊
Thanks Coroline, your good also.👍
Nice review the paint job appears to be the same as the Fram Endurance.
Paint has a gritty feeling, guess so it's easy to grip.👍
Very nice Bill, another investigation of oil filter impersonation done well. I enjoyed that.😊
Your welcome Ted.😉
I like Fram's new endurance filter its only at Walmart for $12. I used to use the orange can since i change my oil every 3-5k regardless, but decided i wanted better protection.
The endurance is a great filter, I will get one of those for this year and check it out myself.👍
All these companies merging and globalization, makes them share DNA.
Soon it will be one company owns all, then you will never know what's inside your oil filter.
Good job, Bill. I love your filter reviews. I feel like I'm right there hanging out with you. Keep up the good work!
Thank you I appreciate that.😉
FRAM EXTRA GUARD/ CHAMP LABS. Silicone anti drain back. $4.17 USD th-cam.com/users/shorts0ADhEVw6jQQ?si=W3mE2sXQY4VuAGhW
Fascinating stuff! I have heard of those filters (only recently, as I have done a deep-dive into market research) but I've never seen them in the US, even up north.
Motomaster has been a staple for us Canadians since at least 2004.😉
So if I remember correctly, OEplus is 12 CAD, Fram is 8 CAD. Does silicone valve worth extra 4 bucks? I doubt it...
You got that right, if I was certain I would get the same filter in Fran can then it's a no brainer.😉
I'm guessing that the Canadian Tire filter goes on sale a lot (like everything they sell) and the regular price is high to allow for the regular discounting.
@ed909 yes it does go on sale at least once a month. If you wait you can buy it at regular price a few times a year.
Made by Fram and its part number is PH7317 vs Canadian tire’s Motomaster OEPlus MOPH7317
Yes it is a first brands made filter, Fram or Champ Labs.
good filter.thanks for this content.😊
Your welcome Ivan, thank you.😃
Thanks Bill ! Its always nice to hear your Unfiltered opinion on these items 😋
Yes the wife does say I should use at least a moderate filter when I talk.😉
@ 😂
You are not a true pro until you have shed some blood , or a lot of blood 😂
unfortunately 😮
The better you are the more blood you loose, kinda makes me want to be not so good.😅
Have you bought filters and oil car stuff from rock auto
I have bought filters from Rockauto and periodically Automotive parts. Shipping to Canada from Rockauto has gotten kinda nuts lately.😉
Why is that? @@crazybillsgarage
Another carazee mornin arippin open stuff! Lol
Crazy is right, -25 on way to work this morning. Manitoba living.🤗
What batteries are you using I put Duracell AA but they aren’t working
I am using Panasonic Platinum power, I did notice that when I switched our batteries it didn't want to work so I had to try a few times to get it to work.
My last napa gold was a 1515 for my old ford 300ci. It was made by premium guard. It was around 8 bucks plus vermont tax.
Premium Guard make pretty good filters, I'm just waiting to get my hands on one.😉
Just got in a MAGNAFILTER I ordered online. Made in Australia. Can’t wait to try it out.
Let me know how that filter works out.👍
Love this format with writing the information by the filter
I liked doing it that way also, it was easy to remember what to say about the filters. May go back to that in the near future.
I use Purolator Boss on my Honda and Subaru’s. Can’t beat it in my opinion. And proved out by my Oil Analysis.
Thanks Honda farm, great filter to use on anything.
The Subaru filter looks the same as the denso filter build type
Very close is design, some are said to be made by Honeywell or Japan made.

Good selection Bill, looks good to me.👍
Thanks Ted.😉
Where can you buy Purolator boss filters in Canada ?
I order them from Amazon.ca. Only way I can get them.👍
Nice assortment of filters.
Thank you, I will see what I can get my hands on this year.😉
Purolator Boss on my car right now! $11.99 at Menards.
Great price, I can only get them at Amazon for $24.99 Canadian price
@crazybillsgarage That's a bummer! Thank you for another great video! I've learned a lot from your channel. Brian from Minnesota
@MimicMan0324 your welcome my neighbor to the south.
You need to check out the microguard select. The cleaniest, prettiest filter I've seen.
Cleaniest?
@JohnnyUtah9173 not a spot of glue. Whoever makes them👌👍
I will have to at that, thanks.👍
@JMLBoom then yes I'm saying cleaniest for sure.😉
I love learning new words
Is that Eco Gard the same as a Microgard Select? They look very similar at first glance...even the box.
I am not sure, I have not cut open a microguard select yet. It could be the same.
Boss 🎉
What other filter could it have been.👍
Fram owns Champ Labs now
First Brands (formerly Trico) owns both Fram and Champ.
Yes first brands owns both Fram and Champ so they can borrow and take from each other.😉
@faxmen09 thanks Faxmen.😉
I do like the filters that come with a drain plug washer 🥰
Yeah I was shocked, they usually charge you a little extra for that washer, they did not charge me.🥳
Never seen one that had it , get the correct one from the dealer .
@peterrudy9207 yes get the dealer washer's they seem to fit best.
Yeah I always get a bit of dry rot in the morning. 😅
With you Ted I would also expect a bit of hoof rot also.😅
Dam... I'm quite disappointed at the results.. I've been using Bosch oil filters for a long time. Won't be using these ever again.
I will be looking at the Bosch premium again soon, hoping that the next one will have better results.
You need a mini torch bud.
Think I have one lying around.👍
Verified bill, just went and picked one up. The orange can of death champ made has a silicone anti drain back valve. Weird the one you have doesn’t. Definitely changed my mind about these oil filters. Frams trying to improve for sure. For the price you can’t beat it. Ps just also bought picked up a super tech oil filter by Walmart for my 4Runner for $2.98 USD, I open the box and the filter is white kinda like the synthetic media that comes and high and oil filters. Wire backed. I’m really curious what this filter media is under a microscope. Is it paper or like a fiberglass material kind of media? Have you ever seen this. If I could have your email I’d send you pictures.
Definitely that super tech has some advanced engineering. Send my pictures to hondanonturbolife@gmail.com
Fram is garbage. You couldn't pay me enough to use them.
Thanks Joseph, I'm getting vibes you don't like Fram. Take more than one changed oil filter to convince me also.
Nah they're fine, I have a bunch of cars, use frams, 200-300K no problems, they're all running strong. Expensive filters are gimmicky and overrated for a run of the mill daily driver
@AmandaHugenkiss2915 sounds like good advice.
