Your positivity will really help, Julie. My friend was diagnosed with cancer in March 2023. She had chemo and surgery and was always positive, like you, and she has now completed all the treatment and is drug free. She is fine and back to her old self. Keep going and you know all your followers are supporting you.

Well done Julie , positivity is the way ,it's one year in August since I had surgery to remove a tumour . Steady progress since Christmas and I am riding 3 times a week now , with your attitude, desire and love of riding you will get through this . Keep positive all the best .

You will be fine Julie. I had the same as you and had 2 lots of chemo. The first was 6 weeks with chemo going in 24 hrs a day. The second one day a week for 6 months. But the day came and i am still here 12 years later. Thinking of you, Brian

As many are saying and I realise easier said than done by good will. However it is one of the keys to help cope. I had to have chemo 2 years ago for my cancer. I walked in every time smiling , still rode although towards the end down to 30km. You have masses of support Julie … lots of yeeee haaaa’s in the tunnel… light is at the end x

Good to see you riding, Julie. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 in 2010. Had chemo treatments on and off for about six years. Lost my hair more than once! 😊 But I'm still here.
My chemo did cause serious fatigue for a few days afterwards. I kept my activities low key until my energy improved. I got used to the fatigue after each infusion. But the whole experience was basically uneventful. I'm sure your biking will help both physically and emotionally. Keep a positive outlook, it really helps.

Julie, sorry you're going to have to have chemo but you'll make through with flying colors. Make sure the doctors give you the proper meds for any side effects you may have, there's no need to be any more uncomfortable than you have to be. My wife went through chemo for colon cancer back in 2003 and she's doing great, you'll crush this!

So good to see you out on a bike again Julie, and you certainly did the right thing there in going for it. I can imagine it gave you a big boost to get your knees in the breeze once again! (I know you had at least one spin on a mountain bike I think it was, but this was more of a 'proper' ride!).
Having to go for chemo is not ideal, but as you say, it'll see it off so it has to be done. Your physical and mental fitness/positivity will help you deal with that too, just as it has with what you've been through so far. Best wishes, as always, are being sent - keep smiling and keep yee-haaing!

I don't know quite what to make of that advice about keeping moving when crossing the bombing ranges! Firstly it sounds a bit dodgy to say the least, but also a bit of a sad indictment of the standard of our armed forces - they can't hit moving targets! 😲🤣

I doubt your derailleur is bent unless you have impacted it. More likely the derailleur carrier if anything is bent. If it is, just buy and fit a replacement as they are cheap and simple and designed to bend in order to save the derailleur which is expensive!!
