Love how one presenter is cycling inside with the resistance off while another is outside towing his kid in a trailer. I think Connor needs a bonus multiplier applied to his mileage… kilometerage?
I also wouldn't mind seeing Jesse's "I don't wanna go bike riding/I don't wanna stop bike riding" tantrums...they're funnier when it's someone else's kid.

The producers were very clever on this one. Notice that they made 3 of them really go for it to add a competitive element to the video. The rest of the presenters kinda went for it but they were balanced in their approach, taking rest days and tending to their lives, sometimes wanting to go out but then never did. Manon was on holiday and never cycled the whole time. They are trying to promote a healthy relationship to cycling, rather the becoming obsessed, cycling when you should be resting, neglecting other elements of your life, not allowing yourself a break, they are promoting that is okay to rest, it is normal to sometimes not go out on the bike when you feel you should, it is good not to cycle for an entire week when you're on holiday. It helped to make me feel less guilty when I miss a day riding. Good work GCN.
Although you managed more miles in a week than I could, this video shows that work/ family commitments gets in the way of your cycling just like the rest of us. Enjoyed the video, keep up the good work.
Watching Connor with his son can you do a video with different options of child travel and stuff be great to see a video with them both 👍 As a dad be a good watch
@@skydave9317 Poor Hank deserves a few days off after that... So he's probably out there on another ridiculous challenge, making us all look pathetic.
I’ve watched a gazillion GCN videos recently but I think this is the most important one I’ve seen. So many times, we get jealous of the presenters going on these epic rides around the world but on a day to day basis, they have to deal with the same stuff we do. We have family commitments to juggle, sometimes we just don’t feel like going out. Thanks for this video guys 💜
Ik really like cycling, but I also have a 2 year old. Somehow it just makes sense to stop for ice cream, wafels of pancakes. I'm just happy for Connor being able to enjoy that part of life.
i love this - god bless all the dads on here trying to get in miles while not getting kicked out of their families! Good to see we face the same challenges..
I'd love to see a presenter challenge over a 30-day period. My company does this annually and my typical participation is riding every day for 30 days. Gotta love Conner as he rode with the extra weight of his son and included his wife in his rides. That shows commitment to his family (Ice cream & train stops) while participating in the challenge. Way to go!!
It makes me want to watch this channel more knowing that the presenters actually still cycle and have current and past professional cycling experience. I hope you guys do this regularly, like once a quarter or once a year. It was legit entertaining to watch the entire thing.
Manon is the "take your holiday seriously" in this challenge and nobody mentioned her in the leaderboard which meant they respected her leave of absence 😅
This has really been motivating insight. I try to ride at least 3 times a week totalling over 100kms per week sometimes more and sometimes less. It’s hard to fit it in for a number of reasons most of which were covered in the video. It’s really good to know you guys all suffer the same challenges and are not as superhuman as I thought you might have been. It’s great to find the time to ride but sometimes it’s just not possible, still a year on and I’m hooked so thanks for the frank and honest report. Has made me feel so much better about my effort.
I was waiting for Manon to do all her miles in one day and still win. However, we learn that they did the challenge while she was out of town. The guys must have been afraid.
hello from France. I'm a runner who discovered road bikes 3 years ago. And i love it. I watch GCN shows in every languages. I'm actually preparing my 6 th marathon. And i use my road bike to come back from work 3 times a week ( almost 40 kms)

“Your doing the challenge not me...I’ll call you on the phone and cheer you on!” Savage!!! 😂😂😂. OAN this is encouraging to see how you all got your cycling into your lives around work, friend/family commitments, and the occasional I don’t feel like it today! Lol
I'm team Conor, being a Dad is tough and sometimes riding has to be sacrificed for family. He will have no regrets when he looks back on all those precious memories with his son and wife ❤

Connor needs double miles because Jessie was helping him! Too cute!
A parent and child ride would be EPIC fun to see!

I was shocked at the low mileage from most of you. Especially considering it’s a challenge
