Abhinav, I also own a 390 since 2015, I have noticed - lot of my friends tried changing 390 profile (suspension, tyres, rims) they have faced serious power-loss. This bike already factory tuned for max output. We have noticed, if you make any change in suspension, its center of gravity get's changed and there is sudden drop in power (in rear wheel). Also if you add extra weight or if you change exhaust you will notice power drop. ThiS bike performs best when its stock, i have parked my 390 in my home-town (Dehradun), i take it for a spin in vacations :) its a stock unit, i use it like a supermoto 😁
Similar kinds of mods I have done in my FZS. I am using it for the past 3 years. I have added Racing Master Cylinder, Pro-Taper Handle and Riser, Round Head Light, Quick Throttle, Adv Footpegs, free-flow exhaust to name a few added products. Now I am planning for USD forks, I am in search if I get a better deal.
Awesome... I'm too modding my Svartpilen into a Supermoto/Urban Scrambler... Used Adv 390 forks at the front (euro spec) and a custom rear shock... I also rerouted the exhaust to gain ground clearance. At first I used the same decat, but being a BS6, it was loosing a lot of power... Even my Powertronics ECU was not able to compensate it 😭 So had to put in a Duke 250 BS4 chamber...
This is a dope setup, however BS3 engine tends to overheat a lot and on slow speeds the engine feels very stressed. Not sure how good of a offroader this will be.
Hello abhinav… m in delhi and whenever i see any motorcycle on road bhai tumhari yaad aa jati hai bhai😅 will love to meet you if possible specially for your modded interceptor.
Hi Abhinav. just a small correction. you probably said it by mistake. it's not even an issue. still, the exhaust isn't the stock original one. the first gen 390 had an underbelly. this one came with the facelifted model. still, i love what they're done to the motorcycle. really tempting
Thanks for sharing this video, Abhinav. I have a few comments and questions, if you don't mind. 1. Do the guys at Speedmonks also do the more common mod wherein the front shocks from the Himalayan/Xpulse are transplanted on to the Duke? 2. The GS front fork - Are the stock Duke's front wheel and disc a direct drop in fit into that fork? Did they need to add a spacer between the hub and disc like is required when using the stock wheel in an Xpulse fork? (A friend had that mod but he has a wire wheel up front now.) 3. The Adventure swingarm is not absolutely necessary, though it does provide some extra clearance. On my 200 Duke, I have used two 130/80-17 tyres (390 Adv stock size) one of which was with a brand new rear wheel and chain set. The tyre did scrape the swingarm at the centre for about 20 km but not after that. Negligible loss of tread. I was, however, using the stock 200's front sprocket with a 390's X-ring chain and 250 Duke's rear sprocket. So the chain was 112 links instead of 110 and the rear sprocket was 46T instead of 42T. 4. Did you know that the 390 Adv foot pegs fit perfectly horizontally in the BS3 Duke's stock holder assemblies? Lucky me! 5. What must be the approx. labour charge for this work? I want to put the Xpulse stock shocks in my 200 Duke's stock yokes (using fabricated bushes to fill the difference in diameter) to keep cost low. Sorry for the numerous questions. I will appreciate any inputs on them. Thanks.
Oggy F has been riding his RC 390 for about 5-6 years.. and clocked nearly 65000 kilometers. Yeah its not the most reliable engine but it can stay with you if you take enough care. 😊

Hi Abhinav, after watching your video I am also planing to make this setup in my KTM Duke 390, which 2016 model. Could you please let me know is this setup is successful or not after riding ?
Just tell me i can do the same setup on my Duke 250 I just want some Adv looks. Thinking about to replace from nacked streets to adv segmnt?? What about the total cost just let me know?
Try getting the front fork of the 390/250 Adventure. Your bike likely has a 320 mm disc so the transplant should be easier. Do not change the triple clamps (tee) and just get the front shock absorbers. 21k for the pair. Rest will be labour. This will be an experiment, though. I want to try this on my 200 Duke but I don't have the funds since I will need to change the front wheel and disc too.
Thanks for always mentioning prices, gives an idea for us younger riders on how much v need to save for our dreams🥰🤩
Excatly
Literally, this is a DREAM MOD on a DREAM bike.
Always wanted to have this Duke 390 model due to its raw power output.

Older duke390 is forever love❤😍😍😍😍😍
BS3 390 Duke was quicker to accelerate, lighter and had a fun, crazy character. I wish I had bought that instead of a BS4 model.

Don't worry bro
Was able to see some smoke when Atul started the bike
Finally Video At Speed Monk's !!!
Amazing setup, i was just waiting for the exhaust sound, exactly what I was about to do on my husky.
Old headers decat with stock exhaust

Where is the R15M that special Built which you people were working on

19 inch spoked wheels are more practical and sensible but 17 inch spoked wheels complete the super moto look.
Really cool build!
