    If anyone's wondering about the new 2024 rear suspension of adv 390 and new Duke 390 it fits perfectly on 2017+ 390 models too i don't know about the 2016 last model. But on old models the soft and hard settings screw is a bit hidden can't access it correctly but everything else is a awesome upgrade.

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I covered the factory modification you need to do so you can easily access the setting screw on my recent video on the rear suspension upgrade.

  • @daveythai1773
    @daveythai1773 ปีที่แล้ว

    I did the same exact upgrade earlier this yr. These forks are actually a couple mm longer than the stock forks so if you gave it lined uo with the lines on top of the forks, you end up raising the front end. I have my front end lowered quite a bit to get it to turn in the way i want it. You may not notice if all you're doing is street riding

      Interesting thanks, I hadn't measured it that closely, but yes always a factor in what works best for you. I will experiment a little and see how it goes. Thanks!

    Does this work on 200 ? I have parts available from the Adv 390 2024 and duke 390 2025 the gen 3 one. Which one fits the duke 200?

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Front might work from the new Duke, ADV should have longer suspension. If you have the parts available then you should be able to easily confirm against your bike. Rear is unlikely to fit from either.

    Great video, David. Was wondering if you knew anything about raising the forks in the triple clamps to get more front end feel on the 390 Duke? Can’t find any one who’s done this on the forums…

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. The only people I've seen doing it are short people trying to lower the seat height. But I have heard of people doing it for track days - usual caveats apply - make small adjustments only. You might want to consider this upgrade if this is your rationale. Stock forks are good enough for road riding but there is a reason all the KTM and Husky range have been upgraded.

  • @neodurden6793
    @neodurden6793 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey Mirius !
    Quick question :
    Is there a difference in performance/adjustability between the Husqui401 suspension (the one you used) and an insert andreani/WPapex pro 6500 ?
    I can have a used full tube Husqui401 for 600€ but at that price I can also get the insert andreani/WPpro !
    Thanks again for the great content

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. With suspension you tend to get what you pay for - which is to say that you can overpay and not get much but you will not get something good for cheap. The one that Husky fitted is the same as is now fitted to all the stock KTM small Dukes, it is certainly better but it depends why you want to upgrade. I did not pay £600 or even close for the complete forks. I've not seen any direct comparisons between the Pro and the Andreani - at least not by anyone not selling one of them. You will probably get more benefit by having the forks set up for you by a suspension specialist than worrying which of the two is better.

    • @neodurden6793
      @neodurden6793 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MotoMirius Yes, really difficult to get cheap the OEM full tube from a scrap Husky401, as they are really not common!
      I guess I will go the Andreani route with the spring rate according to my weight.
      I already know how to install and tune (not the level of a pro but good enough) suspensions.
      I was primarily wondering if the stock OEM ApexPro from the Husky were as good as the cartridges!
      Thanks Mirius, take care.

    Hi sir,which Grade of Fork oil u recommend for this adjustable suspension...?

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't yet needed to chase this one down. I suggest trying your Husqvarna dealer as their service techs should have access to the recommended oil spec. If you want a custom oil then a suspension specialist is your route as they can specify the exact oil you need for how you are riding.

    Nice work and much appreciated. I saw the 2024 was coming out with adjustable and wondered if i could upgrade my 2023. Any feedback after a month or riding? My reason for the upgrade is I would like to soften up the ride for the long highway rides (no shortage of potholes here), then adjust back for the twistiest. Not sure of the validity of my thoughts.

    Hi Mirius, i have an old Ktm Rc200 with a problem on the front brake, allready try a lot of things and non display a real change. There is anyway u can guide me or just review my steps to find the error? Right now im suspecting that could be related to the fork. Sry for the potato English

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It would depend what the issue is. It can be difficult to diagnose over the internet because often the fact that you can't diagnose the issue is because you are overlooking something - and this will mean I can't either. However the front brake is mounted to the axle fixing part of the fork so unless the fork bottom is damaged, I'm not sure how the fork will be involved since the axle and wheel do not move with the fork?

    Hi. Love your videos.
    I bought Duke 390 2023 15 days ago.
    I'm thinking of removing exhaust/muffler on the side(slip on?)
    Will it affect engine in long run?
    Issues with air fuel mixture?
    A lot of people say it wont do any damage, but a lot are also saying about back pressure and how it ruins engine.
    Please help.

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not a simple yes or no - which is why you will hear conflicting opinions - but also there are people who don't know anything claiming that any changes will damage your engine. If you've made no other changes - air filters etc then you should be fine. But to safe you should consider investing in a piggyback, even if it just the FuelX Lite, because if you make this change it is likely you will be tempted to do more.

      You should be comparing Apex Pro to Ohlins, not Apex - you get what you pay for with suspension and I'd be very disappointed if the Apex was as good as the Ohlins. I think Andreani is closer to the Apex.

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 250 runs different suspension units from the 390 - but the mounting appears to be the same, so it's likely that the internal setup is different - the 390 has more power and this will effect damping etc. It should be possible to fit.

    • @MotoMirius

      It depends on your weight and what the course is. I suggest that you work with the settings and see how they change your ride. Much better if you can play on a track so you can see the results of changing so that you can find what works for you - just do a few laps to settle in then move it a couple of clicks and go from there.
