- Train prices are high, and there have been a few derailments. Rollerblading seems to be the better way.
In this video, I skate from the Aether store in SoHo back to the Upper West Side, where I live. Trying something new with a more "raw" approach, let me know if you like it in the comments.

Video is amazing in all regards of filming/editing but yeah. Gonna get cleaned up by some wack driver one day and a helmet would at least help in a small situation. Keep up the sweet work!

Dude I used to skate those same streets. Loved it. Except the couple of times a taxi door would open and wreck me. I skated agro skates, so your speed on those is insane! I was just telling my friend I wish skates were a thing again. Great video!

I used to do this back when roller skates were still popular in the mid 90s. I used to be a daredevil on those things. I will put some korn or deftones and I'll be in my own world. It wasn't NYC but where I lived is or is one of the most densely populated cities in the USA, union city NJ, I can't believe now that I never got seriously hurt. This video makes want to again pick up the hobby.

I’ve ridden down these streets and they are no joke. Almost feels like football sometimes, with all the cars and the weaving and everything.

What an unexpected great finding yesterday when I landed on this channel. I was so stoked that for the first time in many months I had a session last night. I felt a bit rusty but with a few runs I hope I can get back on track. Suscribed!

This brings back memories. I use to do this to commute back and forth to lower Manhattan from the Bronx for work when the Rollerblades first came out in the early 90s. I hated taking trains and buses. Just rollerblades and my walkman and I was set. People thought I was nuts and shocked because they never saw Rollerblades on the east coast yet. Fun times and a great workout. Wish I had the selfie cam back then would be cool to see now.

I hate big cities, but that's what I did when I lived in Madrid. What I liked most was overtaking stopped cars in traffic jams, and imagining what they would think , probably "I want to overtake like him." Thank you for bringing back good memories.

Are soft boots no good? I use large velcro wrap to help lock them more like a solid boot ,

I used to do this in Vancouver years ago, by far the fastest and most enjoyable way to get across downtown.

How fast do they go in MPH?
Any issues with the street terrain being to rough to skate & any cars try to run into you?
