Wheels mostly depend on what you whant to do they can come in a bunch of different sizes and duros but to start of whit almost any wheels works. Just try to not start whit a super soft and grippy wheel because they are harder to get to slide

The closest that we have is Alto's Adventure and Alto's Odyssey, but they're not skateboarding games. Adventure is snowboarding and Odyssey is Sandboarding. But, they do give you the similar chill and badass feel just like this video. Oh and both are 2d endless run mobile games and before anyone says "modern mobile games poopoo" these are some of the exceptions. Trust me, you won't be disappointed
Yeah even I do love Norway. I have been there and I found it sooo beautiful looking at the serene environment. I really love the green, clean and peaceful environment of Norway. Just BEAUTIFUL!!
Real props are to Norway which somehow has a perfect while road in the middle of nowhere while here in Italy roads have so many holes you could honestly use them as trenches

Man this takes me back to my teens when me and my best friends were all boarding together and learning to slide to do some downhill someday! Never got to a real mountain but I remember those days so fondly. And now, many years later I am considering to move to Norway, and man, you might've just sealed the deal haha.

oh! there's this anime film called Akira where the main character does a slide away from the camera on his motorbike-a lot of movies and animated stuff reference the scene, you might've seen it before without knowing. It's not exactly the same as an akira slide but it _felt_ like one haha@@Osse.C
Stuff like this just looks so liberating. I would say it must feel like you're flying, but there's no way your legs aren't screaming the whole way down just to keep a tight balance. How do people even prepare for things like this, at comparable speeds? Like what's the gradual build up before tackling a whole freaking mountain with curves that will kill you if you mess up?
It’s basically just start to learn how to skate on flat ground then just pick a hill and start trying, after a while you realize that most crashes aren’t that bad it hurts a little but just get back on the board and try again. And then build up whit bigger hills and after a while the size of the hill is not a factor more then it gives you more hill to skate

I’ve seen a few long boarding videos from other channels, but this is the first one where I’ve seen the “hand brakes” cause sparks while scrapping the road. I’m really curious about that. Considering the cold climate, was there something in the road itself that caused it or in the hand brakes?
If you look at the plastic slide pucks on his gloves, they have little round pieces of flint embedded in them. That’s what causes the sparks. It’s purely for aesthetic enjoyment.
The camera is mounted on a car, it's pretty intense driving the car because you have to be pretty close to the skater (within 1m) to get the good shots.
This was absolutely incredible. My palms were sweaty during some parts, especially when it was clear you were building up speed and oscillating in the board. Any idea of what your top speed ranges were?
That looked like a lot of fun. I've often wondered how skateboarders bled off speed before tight corners. How long does it usually take for one to confidently learn that technique?
It’s hard to say because everyone learns at different speeds but I would say half a year to a year to start getting a hang of basic slides. I have been skating downhill for about 4 years now and the first 1 to 2 years was basically just going straight and learning to stop so I could go outside of Stockholm to one of our 2 actual hills.
Nah we use plastic pucks attached to the gloves that allow us to put our hands on the ground whitout ripping them to shreds and I made them whit some metal aswell that make sparks on the road
My friends and I used to cut out squares of cutting board plastic and glue them to gardening gloves to create handbreaks. But this is a lot cooler looking.
The most impressive part is that he survived long enough to get this good at it.

There is actually one that is pretty similar called driftwood on steam, but what I know of it don't have landscape like this.
