These videos are always so calming and fun. but sometimes i think "Being in New York must be like living in a fever dream." like could you imagine driving to work and suddenly you're getting passed by a guy on roller blades. It's gotta be a wild feeling. lol

In the early 80's I would skate around downtown in Chelsea where i lived and go down to the Village, sometimes rolling over those damn cobblestones in the meat packing district on the way to the deserted and decrepit piers that littered the waterfront. But Manhattan has changed and made it more friendly to your pursuits and you take marvelous advantage of it. Young people like you are ebullient and inspirational at how you treat life and how joyous you make it. All the best from this septuagenarian former New York resident, my boy.

This guy could just go and never stop due to the fact that he can go up and down stairs and as fast as some cars going at a decent speed. And it's so cool watching this guy just cruse around, so smoothly.
I can't say thank you enough, your videos have inspired me to get back on the skates after not riding them for over 20 years. I'm about 2 weeks in now and I can't even describe the feeling of enjoyment it brings to me, literally feels just like it was when I was a kid. @@thestutteringskater You have no idea how much it means to me, You are my biggest inspiration to learn more and getting better on skates with every day
That was sick. That’s how I used to blade around in my younger years. I remember my first pair of hard plastic blades back in 1989. Couldn’t go very fast. But I would set up a high jumping bar and keep trying to jump over it. I would do my paper route with them. Learning 180’s and 360’s. Then the 90’s hit and I was sporting the best in line skates. Playing hockey etc. then I got K2’s soft shell with 90mm wheels, and flashing red/green lights and I still have them to this day… but haven’t went blading in 10years. I got old and was scared of hurting myself , and not being able to go to work. Couldn’t afford to get hurt. But I used to rip around like that years ago. Hitting everything I could ramp off of. I once got dragged by a car for 10ft because my jacket sleeve got caught on the bumper. 😅
Amazing videos! I used to skate all over the city in the 90s. I had nowhere near your style and not quite your speed, but man, was it fun.
