My list would be close to yours James. Number 1 definitely a traverse of the Black Cuillin. Number 2 same as you as it is just the most wonderfully remote mountain with the best views ever.
Number 3 agree with you too
I could easily go with your 4 and 5. I think I would add Ben Nevis via the CMD route in spring with snow cover right up there.
This one might seem very odd Beinn Teallach. I think it’s the lowest of all the Munro’s but it was my 141st and I thought it was a lovely rugged mountain based on the route I took to reach the summit.

James. Your videos are not only a great resource to your viewers, but are also a showcase in everything that is beautiful about the Scottish mountains, and a masterclass in how to make engaging, superbly edited videos. They are also a testimony to your dedication and commitment to creating this signature series of videos, no doubt weather watching and travelling huge distances to ensure we, the viewers, get the best of views on most occasions, rather than the inside of a Scottish cloud!!
I hope once you’ve completed the Munros you will continue with a new challenge and produce many more videos thereafter.
    All the best for 2024.

Though I saw each of your videos in 2023 it’s nice to watch the highlights. A great year of adventuring, James! I feel very sorry for the death of your comrade! I‘m looking forward to this year‘s videos and hope you won’t stop sharing your hikes after you will have reached your goal. All the best and many happy returns! And thank you very much in deed!

Amazing video as always mate! Not a bad list of mountains you chose, can’t argue with them! You’ve certainly inspired me as I continue on my journey to bag all the munros too. Goosebumps when you’re watching the sunset on A' Mhaighdean. I know I’ve said to you before but I cannot wait to get up there! All the best for this year mate, looking forward to following along for the final munros you have left🤝🏼

What a year! Been great following you. This year I too was on Skye but didn’t manage the full ridge, I also didn’t quite enjoy the weather you had… I also walked in Torridon and Glen Coe, both fabulous but my highlight was definitely the Rum Cuillin. Really looking forward to watching more of your walks in the year ahead and finding out where you choose to complete your round. All the very best for 2024 and huge thanks for providing me with so much enjoyment.

Amazing video- work. As a Yorkshireman I don't often get to go up to Scotland... Watching your videos helps me to pick which places to visit on the small amount of days I get up there each year. Thanks

Hi James. Great year of munro bagging. Thanks for the journey, Skye was just fantastic especially with the weather you had. Great shame about poor Dave Fowler 😢. Wonder what happened there. Great choice for your top 5 munros. Bidean is still one of my favourites, topped out of cloud and onto 18 inches of snow a few years ago with absolutely stunning views all around. Haven't done Knoydart or Fisherfield forest yet, so keep those for retirement later this year. Happy New year to you and your followers. Cheers, Ozzy.

Been watching your videos and journey since early on. Fantastic videos and like your humble approach 👌. The Black Cuillin is an entire mountain range, you need to pick one of them for number 1 in my eyes otherwise your top 5 is no longer 5 😏😂. Go on... pick one

Absolutely stunning video James. Can't wait to do these munros myself. I can't really say I've got a top 5 for myself as I've only bagged 32 munros. But if I had to say what's the favourite I've done so far I would say Buchaille Etive Mor. Looking forward to your adventures this year.
    Take care

Great video James! Bidean nam ban is a cracking hill but sadly the day we did it was cloudy. ☹️ Liathach is another belter of a mountain, lucky for me that day was like yours crystal clear. Awesome day over the pinnacles. An Teallach another fantastic day for me, took the bypass route but still one of my favourite hills. Only done two on the cullin ridge, but I agree, blaven is up there with the best! Hoping to get a few in this year, creating more memories that can live with you forever.

Another Fantastic Video James! Feels especially great in the winter with the current weather.
Your list this year is getting closer to mine, but I just can’t leave Beinn Alligin off the top of my list. Beinn Alligin, A’Mhaighdean, Bla Bheinn, Liathach and Breiriach. I guess so much is down to the conditions and experience of the day !
And I still have Ladhar Bheinn to go as one of my remaining 14…. Many thanks !

    1. Ben nevis/cmd...i dont think ive seen you do a video of the cmd yet, a must do in winter. The weather forecast coming looks great to do it
    2. An teallach via hayfork gully, just phenomenal, so adventurous
    3. Liathach, managed a winter traverse on hogmanay, just amazing
    4. Inaccessible pinnacle, i tried a day traverse tgis year in September, i made it to bruach na frithe, the highlight was inpinn, what a feeling
    5. Bidean nam bian via broad gully, summit camped on yhis mountain before and in 23 i went up broad gully in winter its brilliant and exciting
As you might tell winter is my favourite season, forecast looks great for snow and colder weather and i hope you take advantage james so we can enjoy more high quality videos. Cheers James

I always find it hard to decide what my favourite Munro is? The season and weather can change everything , Torridon hills are amazing , loved your wild camp in the fisherfield, something I can see me doing..
I can't believe you turned back on Ladhar Bheinn but I suppose you had to be there😱
Heading for Skye and the InnPinn on may , hope i get your weather 👍

Hi James, I’m planning a trip to Scotland to go on a hike up some of the mountains in the Cairngorms (such as, Braeriach and Sgor an Lochain uaine) and was planning on going in late May time and was wondering if there would still be any snow on the tops of the mountain in May time and if so would I need special gear like crampons etc… or will we be fine just in our normal hiking boots.
    Thank you 👍🏻
