That must be one of the most enchanting "Good Morning" scenes ever there, James, when you just seem to magically appear from nowhere in the early morning light, and with all those lovely distant tops beyond the glen behind you! Sunshine at that time of day always provides that extra bit of incentive, and nice that it lasted until you'd reached the top of Ben Starav, too. But I suspect it changed in your favour, as while it remained very clear and dry, it would have got pretty uncomfortable with much more heat after that third Munro... Your stamina just amazes me, mate, it really does - very well done - and down to the last 100, eh? I bet that feels good. Now - home and bath, eh?
Hi James. Wonderful video, what stunning views. Makes the hard work all worth while. Thanks for sharing your long day as always, Cheers Dave. 😀🥾⛰🏴
Well done James - that must be your toughest outing yet. One of my favourite circuits, and yes Aighenean does feel particularly tough. The Starav ridge from/to the Glen is very special to me with the fantastic vertical rock slabs to the NW.
Starting to become a bit of a machine with these multiple munro expeditions James. Done all these although not in one walk. That outlier takes a bit of mental fortitude to come off the ridge and back. Great video as usual.
Thats a massive day James!, great effort. I walked these over a few days and even then found them to be big walks! Counting down now mate! Double digits! 😊
James, what a monumentous effort! Well done chap. Glen Etive, what a place eh? Had a go at Ben Starav 3 times on our winter trips over the years, all failed. 1) had to turn back due to poor weather. 2) ran out of time due to one of our boys a bit slow (keeps stopping to take photos while the other 3 of us are usually huddled up waiting for him to catch up) 3) one if our boys took us in the wrong direction at the foot of the mountain after the big river crossing, should have went straight up the ridge, but he was convince it was a left and miles into nowhere. We'll get there one day! Thanks for showing us the top it was fantastic. Cheers, Ozzy.
Thanks Stephen, sounds like this mountain is cursed for you 😂 atleast tou have seen the views now! Definitely worth having a 4th attempt at it 🤣 Cheers, James
Great round that James! Ben Starav is a top mountain and dominates the top of Loch Etive. Did these hills a long time ago in two chunks. The first time, driving down the Glen to ascend Starav, I nearly hit a stag as it suddenly darted across the road. Thanks for sharing.
Top top effort James. I did these a little over 4 years ago, and it was one of the hardest days I had up until that point, maybe only just beaten by the Ben Callum 5. Great feeling to get down to double digits remaining, congrats on the milestone. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Managed to do the first two last week, as the clag closed in and i wasn't seeing any views i decided to call it a day. Absolutely brutal trek for yourself James. Well done.
Fair play for taking that route on. You've captured it so well and allowed us to really see what it's like on the ground over these 5 Munros. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent filming. I remember doing that same route but without the views, and yes, the legs do Burman for 1-2 days after that total accent and decent. You can break it into 2 days if weather not so good.
Fantastic James. Good going doing all 5 in one go. I love any chance I get to drop the pack for an out and back, feels great being light footed for a while, would'a been my favourite part of the day haha.
An epic day on the Etive hills James. I've done these hills on different days, but never all 5 in a day. I agree Starav is the best hill out the 5, but whole area is impressive.Always good to bag multiple Munros in a day. ATB Derek
Your videos are always so well-produced and professional. It's clear that you put a lot of time and effort into creating high-quality content for your audience.❤❤
Well done James. That is one hell of a long day. I have been in these hills twice and still do Beinn Nan Aighean. LOL not looking forward to the long walk in and back out just to bag one! Great video and well captured. You looked pretty knackered at the end! 😃
Cheers Andrew, its a fantastic place but the munros are tough 😂 dont blame you for leaving Beinn Nan Aighean, I think it would be OK for an out and back though 😁 Cheers, James
Congrats on getting into double figures. I see you're seeking the ridge rather than taking the bypass now! I watched an early vid of yours on eastern Fannichs and you found the drop off difficult to look over then. Amazing how time and experience eases the fear. I'm guessing Cuillin soon. Hope weather plays ball.
Thank you 😁 haha that was a while ago!! But your right, its amazing how things can change with enough exposure to it, I having a feeling the Cuillin will be next level though 😂 Cheers, James
good lord - i thought 2000m days were bad enough - but 300 - not for my knees. lovely video but i don't think i'd ever attempt them in one swoop. Starav alone was quite a pull last year. hope you had a dram or two after this epic.
Oof, you've got some serious fitness doing all 5! Climbed the equivalent of Ben Nevis twice! Counting down to the finish now, praying you get good weather on Skye 😊
Great hike , well done 👍 Been looking to do the exact same route for sometime now.. I was hoping you would have showen more of the decent from Munro 4, as Its probably the trickiest part . 185 😱 your catching up 👍😅
Thank you 😁 its a great route but it is long, sorry never managed to film much at that point as I was knackered 😂 It is probably the trickiest part, a steep descent but it looks way worse that it actually is, I was shocked by the route from 4-5 but its not too bad 😁 Enjoy it Cheers, James
@@ScottishMunroJourney yeah I got the impression you wanted to get all these done so you didn't have to that long drive back there 😅 Don't blame you , I've done it myself
Thanks Josh, not really listed anywhere but I use - Sony A7iii with 16-35 Lens GoPro Hero 7 Black For audio I use the Rode Wireless Go 😁 Hope that helps, Cheers, James
@@ScottishMunroJourney thanks so much for responding, will be looking at getting some equipment this summer so is great to know what works! Hope you have a top summer and the midges are kept at bay!
Did these 2 years ago , a wee bit drizzle to start with and then the clouds burst , and very windy , slept in the car then did ben schoolyard 😂 and that was very boggy , showed the wife the bit of you walking on the ridge and she said " your not doing that " too late says i 😂
Wow, opening shots are beyond spectacular. Majestic views and presentation my friend!🔥
I’m turning into quite the armchair mountaineer watching you take all the pain. Great effort

Well done James tough route brilliant
Hi James. Wonderful video, what stunning views. Makes the hard work all worth while. Thanks for sharing your long day as always, Cheers Dave. 😀🥾⛰🏴
well done, great effort. took me 3 separate trips to do these 5 munros.

Cheers Kenneth, Im starting to get used to the longer days now, I kind of have to with the routes left 😂
Cheers, James

It was a tough one Paul 🥵 saved a fair bit of driving for me though 😂 we are getting there! Hopefully finish next year sometime..
Cheers, James
Brilliant James , I’ve still a single to do in that group , tough set well done 💪⛰
Thank you 😁 it must be the outlier? Probably not too bad by itself!
Cheers, James
Wonderful video ☺👏👏👏👍👍👍🙏

Double digits - unreal achievement, pal.
Loving your journey and your film making.
Thank you 😁
Looks like another one to do. Thanks very much. Enjoy your films very much.

Well done.
Well done, thats a fair walk in itself.. I wont be doing all 5 in a hurry again 😂 Cheers, James
Tremendous effort buddy👏Absolutely brilliant👍
Thank you 😁🏔
Thanks for sharing buddy... movingly beautiful views ❤
Fair play for taking that route on. You've captured it so well and allowed us to really see what it's like on the ground over these 5 Munros. Thanks for sharing.
Good effort James, sometimes you have to just keep going and grind them out. You’ll be glad afterwards!
Always enjoy your films, thanks a lot.
Thanks Andy 😁 it was a bit of a grind but still really enjoyed it 😁🏔
Cheers, James

What a hike James well done, and a great mile stone to reach 🙂 you certainly got a great day for it,
Thanks James 😁
Nice one James 😍👍..Starav is one of my favourite mountains James😍..Epic hike well done 😍
Cheers

Its an epic mountain 😁 will definitely return & do Starav 😁

Very much enjoyed the video, good mileage undertaken look forward to your next endeavours.

Fantastic film making as ever.
Well done pal as that’s a bloody long day that😅 but at least the weather was decent👍🏻
Cheers pal, been too lucky with weather so far this year 🤣
Brilliant stuff mate, I done these just 3 weeks ago. Epic day out and weather similar to yourself.
Well done James big achievement and stunning footage as always felt the sore legs did 23 mile hike last Sunday 🎉
Thanks William, great effort on 23 miles 👏 🏔
Well done doing the five in one! The fewer trips down Glen Etive you need to make the better!
Haha its a great area but the road is a nightmare 😂 Cheers, James
Cracking videos, well done on the Munros bagged. DONT LEAVE YOUR BAG, ANYWHERE. IMO.
Thank you - I don’t usually but could see it all the way up & down 😂
Class video, Beinn nan Aighenan is up there with my least favourite munro - the trudge back after doing the 3 was brutal. Fair play for doing all 5!
Thank you 😁 haha its a nice mountain but the location makes it a nightmare 🤣
Cheers, James
That's a big day on the hills! Great video as usual. Well done James!

Haha this one hurt the knees a little 😂 can confirm a Macdonalds & few 🍺 were consumed not long after 😂
Cheers, James
Brilliant effort , enjoy your videos, well done
Awesome. 👍

Long but satisfying day James. You picked a good day again. Well done …. Keep on ticking them off. Not long to Skye now?👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It sure was a long day but loved it, I have a trip out tomorrow then the next one should be Skye 😁 fingers crossed for good weather! Cheers, James

Awesome 🙂
Wow , Ben Starav alone nearly finished me off😂😂
A long day, but a worthwhile one 👏🏻
What a guy ! What do you use for navigation?
I use OS maps on my phone, sometime use paper maps for longer multi day trips.. 😁
💯💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Why don't you ever camp overnight?
I do 😁 got an overnight summit camp coming soon
Best way to select my 20 from around 300 hills in your videos. These will not be done :)
