Since filming this series in May/June I am saddened to say that Dave Fowler from West Coast Mountain Guides has sadly lost his life in the mountains - I will leave the videos up at the moment in his memory. Dave gave me the best 4 days I have ever had in the Mountains and memories that will last with me forever. His passion and love for the outdoors really shows. He will be sadly missed by myself and many others. Thoughts are with everyone involved at this time - RIP Dave.. 🏔

Congratulations on bagging the toughest Munro. But even more impressive is the footage. I have watched many vids of climbing in the Cuillins and this has to be one of the best and most dramatic, really giving a sense of the drops off either side. The shots from the lower two thirds of the InPinn were breathtaking.

James, was glued to my seat there and goosebumps throughout the whole video, i re-lived the inn pin ascent and understood how you felt while doing it, when your feet land after the abseil its a sense of relief and accomplishment, loving the skye series and having these in your library is fantastic memories. appreciate the mention and cant wait for the next one.
Absolutely superb account of the In Pin, even more so the superb photography of this amazing part of Scotland. I am a pensioner and climbed my last Munro in 1996. Don't want to belittle the In Pin even more so your achievement, but it is a super hard scramble, requiring a good height for heights, not to mention a good dry day, which you were blessed with. I used to do rock climbing so just went for it. I climbed it solo, and went down the way I climbed, but backwards. Yes I was very nervous, but I just had to get all the Munros done. There were always holds to take hold of. One time I did get into technical difficulty was on, of all places, getting to the summit of Stac Polly. The mauvais pas there, is a mauvais pas.
Quite the tight squeeze up that side of the Munro...tethered to your guide...i just closed my eyes on those foot wide paths..I do not like heights...good job on the climb.....👍👍 Fantastic drone views of the area...
Another xcellent video. I'm not Munro Bagger but I've climbed the In Pin, you perfectly captured the beauty of the Cullins from such a staggeringly exposed location. I must return to Skye : )

Well done James - anothergreat day in the Cuillins. Your headcam makes it look far more exposed than I remamber it.- Collies ledge looked so different from the easy path that I remember doing on a few occasions. Climbing scree isn't my favourite but descending it is never that bad. I remember climbing Mount Narrahoe, a New Zealand volcano - 55 mins up and 5 mins down, the fastest and eaasiest descent I've ever had.
It is certainly a memorable section of the rdige, you had a lovely day for it. I scrambled up and down solo (the long side) but I can appreciate the use of proper guides for most 'baggers'.
Slightly unusual approach to summit of Mhic Choinnich . I believe most go right to the end of Collies ledge before turning sharp right to scramble up the NW ridge to summit. Great video, quality footage.
Well done to you James. It is a wonderful achievement that literally lifts you up and for sure, will remain with you life long. You had awesome weather but agree it would be a great deal more challenging if it was wet. Thankfully on both occasions I have been over these two it was similar to your experience. Very nice editing and amazing footage! This is probably the first decent presentation of the In Pinn I have seen so far; this video really gave me an idea of the conditions on the ridge. Also cheers to your guide, from my experience, he handled walking as a rope team very well.

I hate scree but on Skye there is nothing you can do about it , just pull on your big boy pants and get on with it , i managed 8 out of 12 so i am going back at the beginning of October , i need roped up for the In Pinn and Am Basteir , i didnt do Collies ledge but i was at either end on two separate days but that was close enough. looking forward to the next part .Great shots on the ridge . i was there for 8 days but it gave me a lifetime of memories.👍
Wow! I’m just back from the western highlands and had a pop over to Skye. As I hike with my dogs, many of the Cuillins are a no-go for us - the In Pin included! But what a fabulous video - spectacular views and weather! I remember the views from Sgurr Na Banachdich….really something to behold!
