This man deserves so many more subscribers. It's rare one of these UK outdoor/camping channels actually focuses on the geography and the nature as opposed to their gear loadout. I wanna see mountains and lakes, not a man eating his meal inside a tent. Keep doing what you're doing, personally i find it inspirational in a sense, really makes me wanna get out in the highlands.
Thanks for your nice comments Timothy, I suppose everyone has their own tastes and likes and some will enjoy other styles of videos :) Glad you enjoy the way I get mine done and appreciate your nice comment and taking time to watch the videos - its very much appreciated Thanks for watching ATB Murray
I agree, completely. Murray got an award from Trail magazine bit back. I think it was for best independent outdoor film maker or something like that. His entire back catalogue of vids right back to when his channel was called steaming boots is fantastic. Best of it is the high standard of film making has been consistent right from the first film. Should be on netflix or the BBC far as our family are concerned it's a crackerjack gem of a library of films😊
Hi Murray as always really enjoyed your video they are so well edited with very fitting music, for a short time they let you forget what awful things are going on in the world. Keep up the excellent work and stay safe👍
This has to be the most under rated channel on TH-cam. I dont understand how you dont have millions of subscribers. What youre doing is incredible, not only are you motivating people to explore the great outdoors but youre giving people unable or incapable to get out to great places the opportunity to experience them in these fantastic videos you compose.
thank you - very nice of you to say so , don't think I'll get above 6 figures let alone millions , but if only a fraction of people enjoy it and can take something form these videos , it wakes it all worthwhile :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
What a lovely distraction from the mad world we live in. As a photographer I really appreciate the thought and patience you put into getting all those camera angles right. Beautiful scenery, but takes a lot of skill to put it together so professionally.
Really good footage of Beinn Eighe. Lot of memories. Camped at the foot of the mountain. Traveled by motorcycle and both bikes got blown over through the night. Came back at a later date to climb this classic mountain. Such good photography. Thank you once again.
I get numb fingers rather than lips, a superb part of the world, heading into Glen Affric at the weekend for a bit of whatever the weather allows.👍👍🏴🏴
You are always so humble about the amount m effort you put into capturing these adventures and putting it all together into these fantastic videos. Your focus is never taken away from the mountains you love so much. That comes across in every video, and sets your channel apart. Another stellar video in stunning Torridon. Thank you once again for your time and effort in sharing your adventures😊👊👍
I agree with the sentiments expressed here. Your humility Murray makes me come back to your channel. You haven't veered into trying to advertise gear unlike so many other channels - your focus is on the outdoors. Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos - long may they continue!
Incredible content as always Murray. Can’t put into words how much myself and others I’ve sent your way appreciate all the effort you go to in order for us to come with you on your adventures. As others have said, your focus on the places and terrain instead of the “it’s all about me brigade” makes your content way better than anyone else’s. From one Scot to another, we love you mate and you should have your own tv program. 👍🏼😎❤️ Take care buddy, Steven.
Thanks for the kind words Steven - very much appreciated - suppose everyone has their own tastes and they differ from person to person, really appreciate your lovely comments though Thanks for watching as always Murray
Loved seeing the deer, glad you didnt venture off to the claggy grade two scramble down when by yourself. Yes doing the set ups, and walking back n forwards must put a lot more effort to the jaunts, am sure we don't expect you to go above and beyond each time, and we are happy to see whatever you record. thanks Murray.
I've only been to Torridon once (in a hurry, no high walks) and I don't know if I'll ever be able to get back, but it's my favorite place in the world, partly thanks to you Murray and a few other top-notch videographers. Thanks as always for another gem.
'I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation' and love every minute of being there with you, Murray. You do go to a lot of trouble to film and we appreciate the thought that goes into making it enjoyable for us. Very happy you made it safe down before the bad weather really hit. God bless until we meet again next week.

Thanks Murray What beautiful mountains, your pretty brave camping that high with poor forecast for following day. I think I recall your camp on Alligan, and the Arora. Not sure with the spelling. Thanks again
The Camp on Beinn Alligin was a special one - I won’t forget it any time soon :) however all of Torridon is amazing - can’t wait to go back :) Thanks for watching
Your cinematography expertise shows no sign of slowing down. Fantastic. Edit: and the views on this remind me of one of my best ever days in the mountains in identical weather. Sigh, need to get up there again.
Murray in the mountains, expansive views, a herd of deer and beautiful soft dawn and dusk colours- who could ask for more? All your usual photographic skill and great commentary. Loved it, thank you ❤ Ps. Have just seen scientific report on CNN news about earthquake lights which might be of interest after your experience when camping with R S in Glencoe. The hanks again.🏴👍😀⛰️
Great vid as ever Murray . We are truly blessed you share the se fantastic adventures with everyone . The storytelling , filming , drone footage are amazing . Am a great fan of your work and the great outdoors too. Don't know where you get the time to record, edit and post these vlogs to YT, but am so glad you do.
Thanks Vinod - much appreciated- spent this evening editing after work - I try and squeeze the editing in when I can - it can be difficult sometime tbh - but always worth it :) Thanks for watching Murray
Considered a Garmin InReach mini for awhile now and just sold one to me Murray, thanks! Good to know your tips for safety in the hills, especially when youre out of phone range.
Cracking video M. Well worth the hike up with that huge bag and bailing out before that front came in. Appreciate too, the little explanation regarding the behind the scenes work that goes on to produce decent content. 👍
My girlfriend and me are over in British Columbia, Canada, about to get tucked into some tunnocks teacakes that her stepmum sent over from home and a cup of tea! Gave it a thumbs up before I've started cause I know it's gonna be a belter! Thanks Murray, your videos help my homesickness and can't wait to get back up the hills when I return in November! 🏴
Brilliant video as always Murray. Scenery stunning and loved to see the deer roaming near you. Brings back memories . Hope you enjoyed your whiskey . Video's always so informative. Look forward to the next one. ATB Murray and thankyou.
Beinn Eighe is one of the few mountain ranges I can recognise on sight. Doing the CWT it looked terrifying the first time. On my second visit I took the harder route round the western side and one of my best memories of the trip.
Really enjoying these videos, the choice of music, the various camera angles and the explanation of how each hike is going is wonderful! Thanks for taking the time and effort to make these videos, they are superb!
Great to know that 'you have been amongst us' here Murray and your video portrays this fantastic area, thank you for featuring it this time. Approaching 4 years now of residency and still can't believe we are here! The glen's car parks were stacked out today (16 Sept) on another glorious day for these peaks, sadly I was working but we can pick our days can't we?! The Kinlochewe Kid.
I did Fuselage gully in winter conditions once, Murray, a brilliant adventure up the right hand side of the Triple buttress. The whole of Torridon equals the Cuillin in grandeur and dramatic scenery, and of course Beinn Eighe, Liatach and Beinn Alligin are all superlative mountains as are some of the less well known ones such as Beinn Dearg and Beinn Damph. Thank you for these superlative videos, and for the care and love that you put into them. Andrew
What a spot for a camp Murray, I was eyeing it up when I was doing the Munros up there recently.. fantastic mountain, that view of Liathach is stunning 😁 Cheers, James

Oooft bad memories on that hill? :/ :( I got my garmin 😂 mainly because my mum needs that re assurance 😂 And course for other reasons. Liking that you have stuck the drone up finally once again. That's the way Murray 😜. I bivvied Liatach, was amazing in the flat stone platou just off the first munro. Good to see you had a bit more time on your hands for this one too, to enjoy it more for what it is 👏👏🙏 Fantastic. 💯💯
Oh my goodness Murray l so enjoyed this video. What stunning peaks that grey scree and granite then the green areas, just magical. Great Photography. Has to be one of the best places to be. Thank you for all the effort you put in to your videos.......Alioban ❤
Would you agree, Murray, that deer are much more tolerant of human presence than they used to be. Probably due to far more people on the hill these days. Lovely video as usual. Was on Choinnich Mhor 20 years ago with my collie and watched a stoat hopping about near the aircraft remains. Unusual.
Another wonderful video Murray. Looked Iike a fantastic trip out and at least you missed the rain. And amazing scenery as is always the case. Thanks for sharing, take care and ATB
Up there a few years ago a fantastic awe inspiring place, your video brought it all back eagle flew overhead on the way to the main top, went down the scramble past the triple buttress and back around past the loch and the plane wreck. Missed the walk on top of the buttresses will have to do that sometime Thanks for reminding me of a great day
Wow Torridon ...... what a place ...what scary mointains ...Murray you're a very skilled Mountaineer to venture alone into the wilderness as often as you do in all weathers and with a camera in hand too. I love your videos as you really get the feeling of sitting on top of your rucksack experiencing the day with all its ups and downs ...... Congratulations for being the best there is IMHO !!......as far as i am concerned anyway .....Your photography is just wonderful 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Fantastic video as ever. Beinn Eighe is a fantastic mountain. I can recommend the traverse from the east. But like you I've never been to Sail Mhor. I appreciated the insight into the scene setup and decisions about what you are going to say etc. And I loved the morning weather reveal! Typical Scottish change of conditions. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic vid as always! Haven't been to Torridon yet but heading up for a week of wild camping in Scotland next week, so Torridon may be a possibility if the weather is bad in Skye. Liathach is such an intimidating mountain, would love to see a video on it from you.
Superb Murray, really excellent stuff. An area I’ve only managed to visit once many moons ago. Unfortunately the weather then was diabolical, so didn’t get out much. Always thought I’d be back, but for whatever reason it never happened (yet)! Thanks for bringing us along. All the best lad.
Just an amazing climb, camp and epic adventure Murray. I really do need to spread my wings (n boots) and capture some of these memories for myself... Capturing the landscape with your drone was spectacular Sir.. outstanding commitment and videography... A definite rewatch on my telly.. Thank you... 👍
@@ScotlandsMountains cheers Murray. The 'foot' is very good and actually responding well to recent climbs. Still booked in for scans etc.. That was an amazing trip pal.. Top notch. . I'm seriously thinking A'Chrois tomorrow night.. over Narnain. May even get a light show before the rain comes in.. 🤞.. Thank you - Jim. 😎
Nice one Murray, i enjoyed that. I'd love to live close enough to Scotland to be able to just head out for an evening then get up and go home. Hoping to get back up there at the end of the month fingers crossed. Great video, take care. ATB Andy

This was amazing Murray, it was nice to see you on another summit camp, long overdue 😂. Yeah my mate doing Liatach recently and found it interesting, I've yet to go up to this area but I'm sure I will in due course once I've ticked the southerly munros. ATB mate and look forward to seeing what's in store next week.
Hope the wedding was great :) ...Torridon, I got to the trig and because of bad weather I didn't go to the summit. Amazing video as always Murray. What would we all do without your fantastic efforts to bring your art to the BIG screen :).... what a place.. Merky ☘️ looking forward soon to a series of snowy winter wonderland videos :)
Have you seen there is an electronic midge repellant, it fits onto you and dreates a barrier the midges dont cross, i saw it on Roaming Radfords, 😅beautifil scenery this time thanks
This may make an appearance in an upcoming video (only the lamp tho) tried the repellant side of the device at the weekend when away Ona family trip in the van 🚐

Liking that you have stuck the drone up finally once again. That's the way Murray 😜.
I bivvied Liatach, was amazing in the flat stone platou just off the first munro.
Good to see you had a bit more time on your hands for this one too, to enjoy it more for what it is 👏👏🙏
Fantastic. 💯💯
Oh my goodness Murray l so enjoyed this video. What stunning peaks that grey scree and granite then the green areas, just magical. Great Photography. Has to be one of the best places to be. Thank you for all the effort you put in to your videos.......Alioban ❤
Thanks Aliobhan - much appreciated - thanks for watching
Murray
Would you agree, Murray, that deer are much more tolerant of human presence than they used to be. Probably due to far more people on the hill these days. Lovely video as usual. Was on Choinnich Mhor 20 years ago with my collie and watched a stoat hopping about near the aircraft remains. Unusual.
You make it look easy! very relaxed trip
Another wonderful video Murray. Looked Iike a fantastic trip out and at least you missed the rain. And amazing scenery as is always the case. Thanks for sharing, take care and ATB
Thanks Tony :)
Spectacular . . .
Up there a few years ago a fantastic awe inspiring place, your video brought it all back eagle flew overhead on the way to the main top, went down the scramble past the triple buttress and back around past the loch and the plane wreck.
Missed the walk on top of the buttresses will have to do that sometime
Thanks for reminding me of a great day
sounds like you had a good day on Beinn Eighe - always a special moment seeing a eagle fly over :)
Thanks for watching

Wow Torridon ...... what a place ...what scary mointains ...Murray you're a very skilled Mountaineer to venture alone into the wilderness as often as you do in all weathers and with a camera in hand too. I love your videos as you really get the feeling of sitting on top of your rucksack experiencing the day with all its ups and downs ...... Congratulations for being the best there is IMHO !!......as far as i am concerned anyway .....Your photography is just wonderful 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thanks Sue - very much appreciate 🙏
Fantastic stuff Murray as always, Cheers.
Thanks Alasdair - I really fancy a west to east traverse - maybe one for the bucket list :)
Thanks for watching as always
Murray
Fantastic vid as always! Haven't been to Torridon yet but heading up for a week of wild camping in Scotland next week, so Torridon may be a possibility if the weather is bad in Skye. Liathach is such an intimidating mountain, would love to see a video on it from you.
Hope you have fun in your trip to Scotland and get some nice weather for your wild camps 🤞🤞👍
Hi, hopefully you have a mountain to climb on Saturday at 12.30.
So jealous of you ,with that view.
Great UP and ATB
Very beautiful nature
Grand stuff Murray as always 👍🏕️
Just an amazing climb, camp and epic adventure Murray. I really do need to spread my wings (n boots) and capture some of these memories for myself... Capturing the landscape with your drone was spectacular Sir.. outstanding commitment and videography... A definite rewatch on my telly.. Thank you... 👍
Thanks Jim - hope the foots ok - enjoyed you camp video above Glen Douglas - you might recognise next weeks camp spot 🤔👍
ATB Andy
Another great video and astonishing views! What a great camping you had! Thank you for sharing. Keep on with this amazing videos!

Absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed this one. What a body of work you are creating! Did you ever consider making a website with a clickable map linking to your videos? ATB
Not yet, maybe in the future - find it hard enough to keep up with the weekly video TBH

Winter won’t be far away- first snows usually hit in next few weeks 🤞🤞🤞
@ScotlandsMountains fantastic..I'm booked in for a week in Glencoe snow in Feb 2024 Murray...
Another great video, Murray. I really appreciate your efforts and your skills. Really would love to pay a visit to Torridon some day.
It’s well worth a visit for sure - Torridon is a wonderful area 👍👍
