Hello James, thank you ever so much for this one. Ben Alligin is my favourite mountain, though I couldn’t climb the horns because I have no head for heights unfortunately. But I love this mountain anyway. So thanks again for showing me the whole traverse!
Beautiful photography. You can really feel the awesomeness of being up there with the fantastic panorama. I hope to walk up there in the future on such a day as this.
Hi James, crackin vid, lovely hills. Done them a couple years ago and got a light dusting of snow. I was a bit wary of scrambling the horns as well, turned out fine. Some lovely shots with the drone. ATB Frank.
Excellent stuff, looks amazing in every direction......pity about the flies/midges. I remember getting bitten near to death in the Highlands years ago, I was covered in red spots for the next month.
Great video James, what a stunning day to be in Torridon. Quite possibly my favourite location in Scotland - it has something unique about it. I bagged these back in 2014 along with Beinn Eighe and Liathach, spending a couple of nights in the Torridon Inn. Great trip! I’ve actually got some footage from my old GoPro Hero2 - maybe I’ll make a video from it one day, although the quality is really bad in comparison to modern camera gear. Cheers, Douglas
I've just commented but looks like it didn't save ❓ Anyway ~ shorter version. This is my next hike. Where you came down is where I attempted to go up ~ didn't manage. The route you took here is where I plan to follow. However, don't think I'd manage the horns so I'll turn back before reaching them. Thank you for sharing this.
Lovely video sir. Heading up in September but will probably stay further south. I did Ben More and Stob Binnien in early October pre-covid and found it the best balance; still fairly long days, less traffic than high summer, yet early enough to avoid any chance of winter conditions. And didn't see a midge. Are they worse in coastal areas such as Torridon?
Thank you 😁 yes Sept/Oct is my favourite time, starts to quieten down.. Torridon & the west seem to be hotspots for the midge.. just keep moving and you will be fine 😁👍 Cheers, James
Great new video mate! Stunning conditions. I've only been up Alligin in winter, but absolutely love those Torridon mountains! Totalled my car and haven't been out in weeks 😭 hopefully soon though!
Nice one. Did it with my dog a couple of years ago and no issues crossing the Horns. Worth mentioning that if the grass is wet then the by-pass route on the right side will be more dangerous than going along the ridge. The consequences of a slip and fall would probably be terminal.
Thanks Ian, good effort doing it with your dog, I wasn’t brave enough to take mine 😂 yes 100%, You wouldn’t stop a slip if you got going down there, Atb, James
@Scottish Munro Journey thanks for the reply. Me myself aren't new to hill walking and munros. I've tried and tested the dog on flat walls and she fails every time , hence the question regarding cattle etc.
Munro #76 & #77 - The amazing Beinn Alligin, this was a bit of a challenge to film with the heat/flys.. hope you enjoy the video 😄
James
Did this many years ago in the opposite direction.
All the Torridons are amazing and they are my favourite hills.
Excellent vid as always.
Wow amazing ❤ trying to decide if I have the nerve for the horns
Looks Amazing, and that weather 👍
Thanks Andrew - would love weather like that right now!!!
Cheers, James
Truly incredible scenery. This was one of the rare occasions when the camera does do it justice. Well done!
Thanks Chris, cant beat Torridon on a good day 😁
Cheers, James
Shoooeperbosh James 👌👍😎 Some stunning footage. It is a fine moontain.
Cheers Kev, will definitely return to do it again sometime 😄
Hello James, thank you ever so much for this one. Ben Alligin is my favourite mountain, though I couldn’t climb the horns because I have no head for heights unfortunately. But I love this mountain anyway. So thanks again for showing me the whole traverse!
Thanks Martin, can see why it is your favourite 😁 fantastic mountain, I’m looking forward to returning already!
Cheers, James
Excellent video. Looks an absolutely cracking route 👍

Hi James, Well done and what a splendid day. These classics are always best left for a good day. Cheers, Charlie.
Thanks Charlie, they certainly are, a breath of wind to keep the flys away - then it would have been a perfect day 😁
Atb, James
Well done Sir, appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks for watching 🏔
Cheers, James
@@ScottishMunroJourney Wonderful watch James, am happy to find your content. Cheers

Thanks for watching Frank, really enjoyed the horns in the end 😁
The drone scared away some of the flies too 😂

Another cracking video James 👍

Great video mate, very much appreciated for your time and effort.
Thanks Ben 😁

Excellent stuff, looks amazing in every direction......pity about the flies/midges. I remember getting bitten near to death in the Highlands years ago, I was covered in red spots for the next month.
Was a fantastic mountain! They are a nightmare, worst I have ever seen up there! Camping in Scotland would be a dream without midges 😂
Atb, James
Great video mate… and cracking day☀️ apart from the flys🙈😂! Hope the other big 2 in torridon are on ur list soon👍🏻
Cheers mate, all good apart from flys 😂 as you will know! They sure are 😁🏔

Wonderful walk.
One of my Favorites!
Fantastic conditions James (minus the flies). Definitely one of the finest mountains 👌
Thanks for watching James 😁

Greta vid, cheers. We are heading up there in a few weeks so fingers crossed for some good weather like you had (but without the flies of course)
Nice 1 another cracking vid well done 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching 😁
Stunning! Will need to add this to my to do list.
Thanks for watching,
Atb, James
Thanks for the video. Entertaining and well put together. l admit l'd be afraid to do those scrumbles (althought l'd do it if l have to 😎). ATB!
The scramble isn’t as bad as it looks 😁 im sure you would enjoy it!
Atb, James
Fantastic video, great effort and very much appreciated .. you deserve more 'likes'.
Thanks for watching Glen 😁

Nice one - enjoy! Its a great route, the descent was rather steep so would be tricky to ascend.. fantastic mountain though! Cheers, James

Thanks mate, couldn’t get much better weather! Sorry to hear that, hope you get back out there soon 😁
Atb, James
Well done completing the horns especially considering your fear of heights
Think I am building up my tolerance to heights 😁 thanks for watching,
Atb, James

Good stuff, cracking weather last week. Those flying ants though, ambushing hikers at every cairn, the pests! Just needed a little more wind.
Thanks for watching Andy, a breathe of wind to keep the flys and it would have been the perfect day out!
Atb, James
I did this today (in the opposite direction). The weather was similar but no flies!!
Well done 👏 its a fantastic route.. lucky you having no flies!
Atb, James
Top effort and great vid
Thanks for watching 😁
I wonder if it is feasible to climb Beinn Dearg after the Beinn Alligin traverse given its close proximity.
it probably would, on a long summers day!
I climbed Liathach during a July night then Beinn Dearg after it then I was going to climb Beinn Alligin. My Labrador put his paw down and refused.
How is it for grazing animals? I'm looking for walks I can let the dogs run for as long as possible. One dog is OK but the other is a pain.
I didn’t see much, but there is some steep terrain up top so care is needed!
@Scottish Munro Journey thanks for the reply. Me myself aren't new to hill walking and munros. I've tried and tested the dog on flat walls and she fails every time , hence the question regarding cattle etc.
Did you do that in a day???
Yeah it was about 7-8 hrs 😁 great day out
