1988 one hit wonder from from their self titled album featuring Joe Pasquale and Eugene Wolfgramm (under the alias Gene Hunt) formerly of The Jets. Courtesy of MCA Records
Natalie Purnell I saw them at the West Covina mall (California) and got to meet them at Tower records after. I still have my picture that I took with them.
RIP mall concerts. :( Also, RIP malls. Funny how malls were accused of killing Main Street local businesses, and now 30 years later it's the malls that are endangered by online shopping. I'll always have fond memories of running around the mall with my friends as a preteen while my mom followed far back behind us, so we could pretend we didn't know her, lol.
Boy oh boy u r so right Bill! And I had almost forgotten this late '80s hidden gem, listening to it took me back! This song was on the charts end of 1988 into early '89 which was my junior year in HS! A little tidbit of info - Eugene Wolfgramm was the founder of Boys Club and his claim to fame had previously been as the founding and oldest member of the highly successful family band the Jets! The Jets rocked! My two favorites from them we're "You Got It All" and "Cross My Broken Heart"
wow you really hit the nail on the head with that comment you took almost the exact words right out of my mouth that's my feelings exactly I couldn't have said it better myself
Yes those great songs by Patrick Swayze, Don Johnson and Bruce Willis. And Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. Nothing but deep meaning and introspective epiphanies from those great artists.
Yes it sounds so much like Careless Whisper and it sounds like George Michael is singing it, which he's not but still it's so much like he is. Maybe because as a fan, I miss him.
"Boys Club" was a pop duo consisting of Gene Hunt and Joe Pasquale from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was created and assembled by Don Hunter Powell. They had a big hit with "I Remember Holding You" in 1989.
ahhh..love this little gem..didn't know one of the duo was a Wolfgram..nice..and if you lived in a rural area, Night Tracks was your MTV..lol...it ran from midnight until about 6 a.m. if I recall..what memories..can I go back, please? sigh...
Wow, it's crazy the things that come back to you. I just watched the Jets Unsung documentary and it reminded me that Eugene joined Boys Club so I came searching for their song. The title didn't sound familiar but now as I listen, I'm singing along, remembering the words and riffs. Weird! I loved this. I think I had it on cassette.
oh my I love this song. I didn't realize one of the singers use to be apart of the music group The Jets. They finally put the song in i-Tunes. YES! 2020
It's crazy this was of my favorite songs omg we was sooooooo young but damn gotta admit it was the best times for me. Now I only hold you in my dreams.........
The coolest song for that summer in 88. Yeah, it would be great to be able to down load this song. I can't find it either. I'm making a cd of those great tunes like Expose, Swing Out Sister...
Billboard's #85 song of the '89 survey year.Bless you, RareNightTracks. Would've loved to see more of the VJs on camera. Thanx, for postin' it. Have a blessed week!
@Breckmin you are correct sir, this is David Cole who was @Rmarx producer/engineer but also Bob Segar, NSync, Melissa Etheridge and a host of others. I believe the David Cole from C & C music factory passed away a few years ago from AIDS...
I’m responding to another one of your postings because I agree. Music will never have such talent and heart again. This music made invoked a strong internal response in me. Today’s music on the other hand does nothing for me. Are you an 80s kid like me? It sure sounds like you are
This was the cut back then and I had no idea one of The Jets was in this group. This song was banging and got alot of airplay. Still don't understand how so many folks are 1 hit wonders. They need to start playing more of the albums and NOT just the hits.
Rest in peace Eugene your music will live on forever in the hearts of teenagers in the 80’s 😢💔
😢😢😢😢😢
😢😢😢😢😢
Ah man I did not know he passed away! 💔💔🙏🙏🙏❤️🩹
@MichaelHaywood-d5k when did he die and did he have something wrong with him or was it something else.😢
It’s 2023 and I am still listening to this beautiful and timeless song ❤
I wanna go back and relive the best years of my life. Oh 80s. Life was so easy and fun. 😢
I loved Gene when he was a part of The Jets. I loved that group. I still do! The 80's had the BEST songs!!
It was so sad to hear he passed away tonight. Rip Eugene

Thank you Sirius 80's on 8 for reminding of this lil gem.😁 I always thought this was Glen Medeiros for some reason. 🤔😉
This song is timeless, I listen to it all the time !
I remember seeing them in a mall concert when I was 12 years old and getting to meet them and get their autographs. Oh the 80s!
Natalie Purnell I saw them at the West Covina mall (California) and got to meet them at Tower records after. I still have my picture that I took with them.
Hello gorgeous
I remenber them on the radio station in my country Venezuela

I saw them in the mall in St.Cloud MN, my sister & I lived ½ hour away so we went to see them every weekend, I had a Jean jacket signed by them.

You know it! It was a rare treat to watch music videos back then when they were a new phenomenon.
Oh how I cherish the music and the memories of the 1980's. The music had meaning and substance. Where can we find real music today? NOWHERE
wow you really hit the nail on the head with that comment you took almost the exact words right out of my mouth that's my feelings exactly I couldn't have said it better myself
Yes those great songs by Patrick Swayze, Don Johnson and Bruce Willis. And Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. Nothing but deep meaning and introspective epiphanies from those great artists.
@@scottlarson1548 what about the other 378 great artists from the 80's, ding-dong?
@@briansmith5293 You mean the ones that never hit the Top 40?
2020 and still love lisen this magical 80s song!!
Sounds nearly equivalent to Careless Whisper.
either way I still like it.
Weird! I have never EVER made that connection. Still don't. *shrugs*
Yes it sounds so much like Careless Whisper and it sounds like George Michael is singing it, which he's not but still it's so much like he is. Maybe because as a fan, I miss him.
I too thought it was Wham or George Michaels when he went solo.
Thought the same thing and went looking for this comment.
Exactly! Very George Michael but without George's looks and charisma. Love the song forever!
HIt #4 AC, #8 pop in Billboard. Featurin' Gene Wolfgramm of the Jets. Changed his surname to 'Hunt' for this act. God bless!
I wasn't born till 1991 and I so happen to find out about this song on MTV 80s classics or whatever it is. This song is still jammin till this day.

Yep! I loved The Jets! So seeing Eugene transfer was an extra treat! Loved this song when it came out!💜
Great song! It has a nice funk-jazz groove progression with classical guitar thrown in. Excellent! I'm surprised they didn't get bigger.
These dude’s can sing that note!! Can’t imagine why they didn’t soar like the eagles professionally.
30 years ago I have been listening to this in my stereo casette best of 89 ballads. Missing those days...
Love this song. It brings me back!
I haven't heard this in forever. A lucky find.
Wow, it's crazy the things that come back to you. I just watched the Jets Unsung documentary and it reminded me that Eugene joined Boys Club so I came searching for their song.
