I drove Kylie once. In a nice taxi. Back in the summer of 1996. I think. Picked her up from Nats Post in SoHo Square. She was such a sweet lady. I will always remember her.
I personally feel this is Kylie's best song. And the Kylie character at the bottom center with the big smile and side ponytails was clearly the inspiration for Margot Robbie's later Suicide Squad character.
Actually the character in the Batman comics and cartoons named Harley Quinn was the inspiration for Margot’s role in that movie. She was created in 92 in the comics and appeared in the cartoon in the same year, then the comic in 93. This song was released in 1994.
How about the original Harlequin from Comedie dell'arte of the 16th century?!!! Scaramouche, Scaramouche... Do the Fandango! But I agree this could be Kylie's best song. Definitely her best video. Dark, mysterious, Haunting and Vaguely Sinister. This song is brilliant. Rembered it from MTV. saw the video in the late 90s, a year or two before her big return to mainstream.
This is the most hypnotic song i've ever encountered. First heard it when i was like 9 years old and couldn't escape from it ever since. Now i'm 34 (shit) and still listening to it as a unique and timeless masterpiece.
One of the most raw and brilliant pieces of music I have ever discovered. I found this song by her when I was at my lowest point in life. I was on the verge of committing suicide. When I first clicked the video I had no idea what to expect, I had to fight through the tears and myself to get to the end of the video. Every word she said was a direct knife into an open wound I already had. If it was not for this song and the comfort I found in her dark and beautiful lyrics I probably would not be here. The video is an absolute masterpiece also, it tells the story of depression and multiple personality disorder. This can be heard in the song and seen in the video. Hence the title Confide in Me. Someone telling their emotions, secrets, and troubles which is why it says call now on the screen, so they can confide in her. I wish she would make more darkly melancholic music like this.
Yes, it's a masterpiece. Every movement or expression of Kylie is art. The song, the mood of the music and the video itself, with all the colors and the graphics, are also on point. Am I mistaken, or were the women of the nineties (female artists) more enigmatic and beautiful than today's replaceable/interchangeable random "stars"? 😊
I love this era of Kylie, with darkness, sexiness, angst, etc. I love her later works, as well, but I also hope she does something similar to this era sometime soon.
This video literally represents all the modern addictions and hard coping. From eating disorders, drug addiction and social media to modern dating and being limerent and codepent - it's all there I don't know how I missed those signs all these years.
This song sometimes starts haunting me completely out of the blue and then I have to come back and listen to it. It's fair to say that this is the most memorable and intriguing of Kylie's songs - and videos!
Louise Robertson I actually don't think it's good, it doesn't flow at all or are you basing it on the songs lyrics? Reminds me of madonnas album Ray of light, which I soon put the cd to use as a candle coster, they say, whatever' rocks your boat
27 years after buying this on CASSETTE TAPE I’m watching. I loved watching this when MTV had it on heavy rotation and it bridged the pop/dance scene. Fantastic and pretty timeless!
@@shannendawes8725 Unusual, but very creatively beautiful and stunning. I think this was a necessary step in her career. I just wish her next album “Impossible Princess” continued the trend. The single “Did It Again” is one of my favorite songs from that album and it is AMAZING!

How was this song not ever used as a James Bond theme song??? It's Fantastic and definitely has that "sound!"

Stunning
One of her best songs . So underrated
Probably her most underrated track. Eerie and portentous. The strings, underlying beat and that rising voice to "....a problem should be shared".
By far her best work! She sounded incredible here.
Still the most emotional song Kylie's ever made.
This is the song I go to every 10 years I swear. This was it, this was her best. It’s classic and dark and beautiful
Kylie's greatest achievement. A masterpiece on every level, including the video.
🤪🍾🎉👍🍷
the 90-s were the best, then it all turned into humping a wrecking ball, crying about overeating, etc.

She was always true artist.
This track is probably most played on my list. Back in the trip hop days.
1994 was one of my most memorable years in music. This song by Kylie showed another side of her and the sexiness was just evident.
then she was super gorgeous in that video where strips and floating in space.
This is my favourite Kylie number, bless her always and greetings from Glasgow x
30 years later and still hits hard, for all the lonely invisible men out there and the loneliness industry that exists to exploit their pain 🥲🥲🥲
I don't know you but i hope you're doing well!

I think this song is a masterpiece..Kylie' s voice really makes an impression.
I am usually not a fan of latex clothing, but the black suit, which seems to be of this material, makes Kylie look amazing.
Revising this song today. It sounds just as good as the first time I heard it. Criminal it didn’t get to number 1 ❤
Yeah I think Wet wet wet kept this out with love is all around.
The competition was rough in the 90s
I love this era of Kylie, with darkness, sexiness, angst, etc. I love her later works, as well, but I also hope she does something similar to this era sometime soon.
Who is watching in 2016? It's wonderful music! Beautiful song, beautiful video and beautiful Kylie!

Brilliant masterpiece and of the most coolest songs ever :)
I agree...pure masterpiece :)

Louise Robertson I actually don't think it's good, it doesn't flow at all or are you basing it on the songs lyrics? Reminds me of madonnas album Ray of light, which I soon put the cd to use as a candle coster, they say, whatever' rocks your boat

@@shannendawes8725 Unusual, but very creatively beautiful and stunning. I think this was a necessary step in her career. I just wish her next album “Impossible Princess” continued the trend. The single “Did It Again” is one of my favorite songs from that album and it is AMAZING!
Wow🔥
👍🏻
This really should be Kylie's biggest hit instead of the other stuff she has produced. Sadly though this song is almost forgotten.
It's just amazing that song with such colorful video is so dark and disturbing. The song and video are together a masterpiece.
Psychedelic pop, how cool is that! To me this song reminds me of The Doors - The end and more specifically the intro of Apocalypse now.
Kylie's best single? I don't say that lightly either been a fan since 1988!

2023 here… What a great song! The violins are ace.
I have a beautiful and memorable memories with this music. Ms. Kaylee is good-sounding, charming, and lovable.
This is a damn masterpiece. I loved this when it was released, and still think it is a stand-out song. Never got the recognition it so rightly deserved. A shame.
Considering the fact that this song reached no.2 in the UK on his first week of release, and topped the charts in so many other countries, plus was critically acclaimed by so many music critics around the world, plus received some interesting covers by other artists, I would say it indeed received all its deserved recognition and success...
