I'm suprised that someone hasn't sampled from this song yet.
@@evileyes2268 that's what I'm saying! I'm sure someone has. Just wait someone will do it this year 😊😎

This song sounds exactly like the 80s turning into the 90s
I know right it's crazy to think that it was only a year away from 1990 and this song doesn't even sound like it came out in the 80s I think it's mostly got a lot to do with the fact that music was changing I honestly feel like this song was giving us a sample of what music in the 90s would sound like
1989 so you are correct
perfect description and so true
You are right on with that description.
Straight up
This is one of those very rare songs that always sounds fresh, I would bet that in 30 years time it will still sound fresh !

I thought it was D'Angelo at first. Ahead of its time. Doesn't sound or look dated at all.
Why would you insult a classic?
Jamie Oliver loves it so much it's the theme of one of his shows-15 minute meal
Only the peoples that know this music from this era, know what there talking about. So it's all cool.

The 1980s really had it all in music, the music laid down between the 1st of January 1980 and December 31st 1989 was phenomenal
Milli Vanilli was top of the charts Nov 1989
Absolute Bollocks , clearly did not live through the 1980’s music scene!
The 1980’s musically ended in 1985 in my humble opinion !!

This song is like wine, 🍷 it's not aging, it's still sounds better to me than a lot of what you hear in mainstream music these days, even in 2022
Lol. It sounds like aged wine 🍷🍾
Perspective matters though. It's a classic song, but it's a staple 90's sound. I think most 90's music has turned cheesy and cringeworthy since then. 80's songs aged better. I'm not saying it's bad, it just didn't age like wine imo. I know it came out in the 80's but it's a classic 90's sound

Thats a simple but sweet guitar synth. Though you have funk genre era of the 70s to thank, late 80s and early 90s pop used the guitar synth religiously and took it to a level we still haven't surpassed even with the technology we have now. You know she was the genesis for Massive Attack? The Wild Bunch became Massive Attack. Do you know what the Buffalo Stance is? Her influence is legendary. Bless Nina and her vision.
It really sucks that she lost the Grammy for this song to a Milly Vanily and they weren’t even singing their whole “career” was a scam.
Milli Vanilli was just a product of the times. The songs had hooks. That's what pop music is.
Most pop singers are greatly enhanced in the studio and live is usually lipsynced. I never liked MV because the music was lame but I don’t really understand the hate considering most pop is lame and not their true voice. Most of these folks aren’t Adele.
Even without Milli Vanilli, Neneh wasn't gonna win. That year was absolutely stacked.
