    Master build! Absolutely LOVE it! I'm buying a 2003 Savanna today and hope to do a similar build. Haha I have absolutely zero experience in doing this, so I will probably be watching your video here many times! Thank you for posting. Your van is beautiful!

    I have a 2002 GMC Chevy Savanna 3500 with a cage. Just like this one. I love my van. 350,000 miles on it and still runs awesome. Wish I had $$ to do what you did with yours. Good Job

    First off anyone that has a dog has a special place in my heart.
    Secondly that was a wonderful video. Really did a amazing job.
    Then the Alaska scenery to end was gorgeous.
    I'm working on my van now with hope to be camping by next summer. Then a few runs to make sure everything is GtoG before we head to Alaska. Wanna go visit my army buddy in Kenai Peninsula.
    Great job

    • @AlaskaCamperVan
      @AlaskaCamperVan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! We don't seem to have that problem at all with our cooler. I do put warm water in my 6 gallon water jugs when I fill them to prevent condensation.

    Blocking side door and make a huge sink with cutting board cover is a GREAT IDEA!
    You still have 3 more doors.
    How do you expand the table?

    • @AlaskaCamperVan

      Thanks! We pull open the drawers and the table top slides out and sits on them.

    Is it diesel? Did you get the fuel operated auxiliary heat generator option? Very cool build

    • @AlaskaCamperVan
      @AlaskaCamperVan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our van isn’t a diesel. We use a propane heater for a few minutes if we get cold. Since our van isn’t AWD we don’t drive it in the winter. Thanks for the comment. (Side note. My work van(Mercedes Sprinter)is a diesel and there is a diesel heater in the back)

    I’ve got the same van, have hopes of building out something close to how good yours looks. Only issue is I have a slider door on the side instead of barn doors, any suggestions from you or any others as to what to do with that space? Thanks

    • @AlaskaCamperVan
      @AlaskaCamperVan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I had bought a van with a slide door, I would have built the van the same way. I probably figure out how to make the ARB screen room work, probably the same way.. Allow the door to slide in the room after the magnets are attached.. IDK

  • @robertdragoff6909
    @robertdragoff6909 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have 1 question. It is well laid out and made. You have a cute dog, and if it were possible I'd like to reach through the screen and pet his head...... the 1 question? does your rig have a bathroom?

    • @AlaskaCamperVan
      @AlaskaCamperVan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does not. It does have an emergency bucket toilet located in my utility closet. When ever I get around to doing a Van tour, I hope to show the van in more detail.

    • @AlaskaCamperVan

    Hi you must have read my mind because this is my layout as well my question is why did you keep the bulkhead?

    • @AlaskaCamperVan
      @AlaskaCamperVan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Needed the wall and the pocket doors to block out the sun at night. We also got the blackout mat for the maxx fan.

    • @AlaskaCamperVan
      @AlaskaCamperVan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn’t really total up the complete cost, we can assume $4-5000. That’s including electrical and accessories we wanted for our van.
