I like these low budget functional builds much more than the ones that have all the specialized tools and workshop at home where the average DIY'er doesn't have or can't afford.
I would hardly call it done with budget tools , I possess a drill a hammer a toolbox as I used to do mechanical jobs , if I went out and bought all those tools used in this video it would cost nearly a small fortune I don’t have a garage either , it’s given me ideas but the thought of of trying to do all that I would be still at it in another five years still its impressive really nice , all I can say is I’m determined, thanks for making the video
I'm building my second van. I have visited the professional stores that sell those 70k€ - 130k€ campers and honestly those things are cramped full and have no space
$3000 in parts $30k in labor! Great build really. Shows people that are willing to do the work how much they can save. And those that don’t, what you’re paying for isn’t a one day job!
This is quite useful, especially due to the way it was assembled with strong, flexible glue, which made the process much easier. The tools used are fairly standard. For a more luxurious appearance, you can enhance the finish on the visible surfaces.
Top!
XD
This was awesome❣️ It didn't even occur to me that I could just use a hand saw for a lot of that framing and such. I really enjoyed watching this. Stay safe and TFS.
It's not $3.000, but $33.000, which makes a all the difference.Do u have that money? If u want free rent... u probably don't have $30.000 for labor. This is a trick, why it's hard to find customers for the carpenter.
Super Video du hast mich mega Motieviert DANKE !!! Mach bitte weitere Videos !
You certainly do make it do'able ! But I was noticing all the tools you had, not to mention the skills you have, so I'm not so sure this would be a DYI project for the average person. Congratulations on a beautiful project WELL DONE ! Thank you for sharing.
Awe inspiring as he mends his mind listening to something in the background that sounds like "CAMEL" (a prog rock band from the mid seventies) this video rocks!

Cool!
Very good job, extremely well done. My brother in law has been 4 years so far doing something similar and still not finished. One or two comments: why do you want wood on the ceiling? We had that in our houses in the 1970s. (Could use carpet adhesive spray and stick up some headlining fabric in minutes). Secondly you have made all your own kitchen cabinets but why not just buy them from B&Q? All those little tidy ideas and even the pull out bed are available off the shelf from Ikea. You might have to modify them slightly but they will work perfectly for years.
Just like the optics from wood on the ceiling and its quite cheap. Dont know what B&Q is but we have IKEA in my homecountry :) Ikea furniture is made of chipboard. This type of wood has very poor properties when exposed to the weather. We have long, wet winters here and moisture is always an issue. In addition, it is not suitable for structural timber construction and does not meet the requirements in my country to obtain a certificate for motorhome registration later on. We have way to many f** rules here in Germany
Watched this from start to finish, made me smile :), nice editing, and Loved the music mate. Impressed that you literally made everything that went into building the van. Your doggie looked very proud of his work
Very nice work! And quite comfortable interior design i think. I only wonder why you didn't add more insulation - there was empty space between the paneling and the walls
Been watching conversions for a few year to gain knowledge before I dive in to my very own and I have to say this video is up there in my top five without a doubt. The work you put in is second to none. One of the best conversions I've seen. You make it look easy. Take a bow because that took some work on your behalf. Love it 👌
Cool video. Not sure about using only glue for solar panel. You can't see it if it fails in inspection, and you might end up losing it on the highway. (You can see a screw that's about to fail)
STP adhesives, properly applied, will outlast a 4mm mild steel screw. Much of the bodywork on modern vehicles and all of the glass, is bonded with such things. Will it last the 25 life span of the pv panel? Probably not. But if that's the aim, remove and replace every 5 - 10 years (depending on the actual environmental, usage, and storage conditions)
What is the black rubber your using @ 3:36 inside the walls. Would love it if there was a list or info as you go as subtitles for what materials are being used. Probably a pain to add tp the video though. Thanks for sharing either way, it certainly helps me visualize as some of the layout is what I had in mind myself
Why did you splotch the metal floor with black paint only on certain spots? I noticed you did the edges of the roof hatch with same paint and I'm not sure what exactly is its purpose.
The insulation works really well. In a panel van without a partition to the cab, it is only ever a compromise. So much heat is lost or enters through the uninsulated windows in the driver's cab that it is better to invest in a good, soundproof parking heater.

Plus, he owns Crocs! That's always a good thing!
My collection's larger. I love tools. But indeed, I don't possess everything these trained DIY builders use turning a bus into a camper van.
I'm building my second van. I have visited the professional stores that sell those 70k€ - 130k€ campers and honestly those things are cramped full and have no space
This is the first video that made me feel like I could actually do it. Thank you so much for this.
Thanks, nice to hear, this was actually my intention:)
Pushing in that bit of cardboard to perfectly measure that odd area near the wheel well was BRILLIANT

Thanks man :)
I like that you did everything to save as much space as possible, but there were so many more places to add insulation for weather & sound.
really enjoyed your no nonsense & non chatty video - thank you for posting it!
One of the Campervan Conversion Presentation .... 100 / 100 lots of love from India. Jai Ho .
God do this song take me back to the golden era 1968 fantastic loved that time ❤god bless everyone who lived it
Love the relaxing music … getting ready to take the van living plunge and learning how we need to do the work ourselves.
Thanks 😊

The best DIY camper build ever. Good for low budget ordinary people to follow. Thanks 👍😂
Wow, thanks!

Super gemacht und "Schritt für Schritt" gezeigt! Vielen Dank!
That is a such a great build, simple yet elegant. Subbed, keep up the good work.
Nick from Australia 🇦🇺.
Thanks for all your efforts. (I enjoyed the background music far better than most of the quirky music many van-lifers choose these days!)
Top!
RESPEKT!👍👍👍💪💪💪👌👌👌

Awesome system for the bed dude ! Most of TH-cam creators don't show it properly except you !!

Nice work! Spacious for tiny living. Seems you have storage space for everything and all the necessary amenities for comfort in a tiny mobile home.
Never thought you could do this in just 19:34 minutes!
Watched from nz .... thank you... fabulous and fast edited show of a possible -how to - renovate van to living space.❤
You do make it look very easy - big respect
interesting build but....arrgggghhhh, the music! 😞
It's a Hz frequency music 639 Hz 😂 it's high
Cromar cromapol is brilliant for sealing leakage BTW. and comes white
Wish it had been my first item to test
Good Video- but the music makes me depressed
@filmemacher9876
Danke
Ich arbeite an der Musik :)
You make it look so easy and fast! Well done on a great build and thanks for sharing.

Very nice build. I could only hope to build that one day. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 🙏

Que gran trabajo! Que prolijidad y limpieza, hermoso diseño. Lista para dar un paseo❤
Wish you explained what you were using or put it in a list somewhere.
A new video of my current build will be released next week, with a list of materials and prices.
I loved this video! Great job, still a lot of work. Turned out great. Have fun in it.
Love the background music 🎶. Got some great ideas from you.
Good Work, love to see so much Hand Tools
Sieht Super aus, Gratulation...Da bekommt man gerade Lust selber Hand anzulegen.

Beautiful work ! I need this for a micro camper conversion
Totally brilliant showing exactly how to do it but can you put what the products are that you are using
@lindaallen2412
I tried to find them on amazon outside my homecountry but i couldn’t find most of them :/
love that you did this without a whole workplace of tools, just a saw and a drill (for the most part anyway). How long did this take?
It tooked me something between 3 to 4 weeks :)
This was so soothing (and interesting) to watch! Thank you for sharing.
Your bed solution is interesting. I'll be considering that with the van I'm about to buy.
Thanks 😊

@@BudgiCamper yes I couldn’t believe that you can’t even paint a fence over there without a license?
should have used a flat handle for the bed, so it will lie flat when not in use, so you wont get it caught on anything. just a thought.
You are totally right 😅
I watched all video, very impressed with your build.

Absolutely brilliant I love your work got a lot of ideas from you many thanks from n Ireland 🤝
Nice work. Good craftsmanship and simple, informative vid
Thanks alot :)
I adore the music 🪅
Apaixonada,já quero um.
Parabéns,tá lindo.
one of the best campervan build i watch 💯
Loved this, from start to finish!
Thanks 😊
For me a shower and toilet is essential in a camper build like this.
Also das ist der Hammer. Wirklich sehr schone Umbau!
Vielen Dank!
Your music choice is very... ethereal. Great build!
😁😂
One of the most thoughtful builds I've seen.
Thank you ❤️
Very very nice, job well done !
I wish i was that good with woodworking and electrical ... sigh. Keep it up 👍🔥
Well, your title does say low budget.
You weren't kidding 😂
But, in all fairness it looks really smart and would definitely do the job.
I missed the bit where you made the dog?
Enjoyed your video…but the music was kinda eerie. Great job 👏👏
belle realisation, j aime beaucoup

Toller Ausbau! Sehr inspirierend!

Its used for rust protection on bare metal. Some spots on the floor had deep scratches :)
