I start my journey this month when I see the nutritionist and surgeon. Was 420 three weeks ago, now down about 10 pounds just cutting all junk food and eating better. They want you to loose as much as you can before the surgery, so doing that. The nutritionist will be able to help with re-learning how to eat, now and after the surgery. Your journey is amazing and I will watch the interview with your wife tomorrow. Thanks for the calm and sensible approach making these videos; some other people who have had the surgery make videos that are heavy on drama let’s just say.
He says he might upload sometime next week and I forgot to say this in the first one but he is now doing well enough to drive me to school (summer is an exception)
🎉 👏🏼😊 So happy for you!! I know you are feeling so much better! I had my psych evaluation today and was cleared for my gastric sleeve procedure. I’m thinking it will happen around July. Keep up the great work! You inspire me! 😊
It's certainly possible, but not guaranteed. My wife started at 300 and is currently 180 (she had her gastric bypass in 2019). This page has some good information about how much you can expect to lose and even has a calculator to help estimate what your weight loss will be after 18 months: www.obesitycoverage.com/weight-loss-surgeries/gastric-bypass/how-much-can-i-expect-to-lose
@@SprintingSlowly I heard the sleeve was like that but ya I had bypass I thought I was the only one I'm 14 years out and man those winters I have a bedside heater and the cold hurts is it painful for y'all

Hello thankyou for your time, if i weight about 270, and get the surgery would i be able to lose over 120+ pounds with diet and exercise?

So you had the bypass and are cold all the time
It's not as bad as it was at first, but I definitely don't feel as hot as I used to all the time.

is this guy still living?
I am! I should probably do a follow-up video at some point as proof of life 😆
Hi dad (aka the Markeology guy) (Hey dad can you confirm that your my dad so I don’t look silly) I can confirm that he is alive.😊
@@ani4301 Yep, I can confirm I am your dad and I'm definitely still living!
if you had two bone on bone knees like i have due to 50 years of hard work i would have more respect for you
