Ryan hopefully the Cyvertruck does not have wheels that stick out as far as the prototype. CUrbing our wheels in a model Y is one thing but on a Truck wheels that stick out will make it useless for going off road.

Agree, you can litterally see the handle just below the waist swage seam at 4:20 about 1inch in from door gap between front / back doors
Deliveries slipped further Thursday - Model S LR is April - June, depending on options, and Model S Plaid is Feb - May, depending on options. White interior appears to push back delivery by a month.
I have the Safety Score logging on my Model Y. If Tesla releases FSD when you have a 100 score, do they take FSD away if your score drops to 90? I’ve noticed big swings in the score based on traffic conditions and how FSD reacts to phantom braking.

I’m not keen on paying $20G for a Quad when a single motor Cybertruck is $38G seems a bit high priced . Maybe it should be no more than $5G when bought with a Cybertruck.🤔

I hope no one breaks their necks on them, I’m not saying that they’ll be anymore dangerous than any other quaddy out there, I’d like to see one in action though . I think I’d rather put the money towards a tri motor rather than the twin motor Cybertruck.

My model x doesn’t need door handles. I never use em. Car recognizes me and door opens. Love this feature. Hit the brake and door closes!
Totally agree! It is a very under-rated feature. There are so many things to love about my MX but the auto opening/closing door is one of my favorite features.
When I had a model X for the weekend I actually kind of like that feature but in daily use when you’re in and out of the vehicle multiple times a day doesn’t become a problem? Also is it something that you’re concerned of it failing?
@@hadleycontractor496 no it’s the best! And yes it broke at the 5 year mark. Paid $500 to fix it. But literally is one of the best features of the vehicle.

Years ago, Elon said that Tesla will be reducing the end of quarter push. Back then, Fremont production early in the quarter was shipped to Europe (this was before Giga Shanghai).

There’s an error, the SDR+ is actually not until June 2022, it’s March if you add features such as the performance wheels. But base everything is June

Why do I not have the safety score available? My car had the button to request FSD beta and I did request it. I bought the car with the FSD computer. I have iPhone running the latest version of the app 4.0.2-657 and the latest car software 2021.32.22 I’m confused 😕

Tesla's situation with chips is also helped by the fact that they are using more advanced microcontrollers than most of their competition. The most enduring shortages are expected to be for parts that are made with legacy processes, because semiconductor manufacturers are not ramping up capacity for those older designs.

Ordered model 3 SR+ Sep 7 and originally supposed to get it Jan or Mar but it bumped to 8 to 28 November. Told my advisor I will only take it with LFP cells.

@@zzzTrooge Resale? Won't matter unless you plan to sell the car within a year. Only first year Tesla models is what you want to avoid due to bad build quality and people being more reluctant to buy them on the used market.

Don't like auto door opening or direction selection. No matter how good the programing it will always be based on when the programmer thinks it should open, not necessarily when you actually want it.

Lucid will never be more than a bit player. However, Tesla would be the perfect supplier to provide Rolls Royce with an excellent EV chassis. Sadly RR Cars is owned by VW so don't hold your breath. Maybe Elon should make them an offer.

Car makers should reduce some of the computerization and number of electric motors. Changing vent angle, simpler manual controls on radios (not computer controlled), manual sun roof, etc. Lower the price, increased reliability, decrease chips and servos.
And for the transition to electric, add a small gas/diesel generator for when you get stuck far from charging stations. Steady load generation is efficient.
Yes, yes, concentrate on the damn 4680. That is holding everything up!
Its looking like 4680 will be LFP chemistry safe to use from 100% down to 5% so the usable capacity is similar to Nickel based without the fall-off in range they suffer. LFP has very little loss of range with use so worth waiting for.
Production is hard. I bought a backup battery the other day, slightly cheaper than a similar one from 2 years ago which is dropping in capacity. 5 bucks cheaper, 2/3rds the size, 20% higher capacity. That's effectively 60% of the cost of previous model, which was in turn so much better than what I had been using!
When the 4680 comes out, it will be a game changer!

The four wheel steering of the cyber truck allow the wheels to turn in opposite directions as opposed to the same direction needed for “crab walk”. Opposite direction for Tesla’s 4-wheel steering will allow for better, tighter cornering in small parking lots and drastically reduce body roll during faster maneuvers. 4-wheel steer and “crab walk” are two different approaches and will require the rear wheels to be linked differently. (4-wheel steer, The rear wheels turn in the opposite direction that the front wheels do, while “crab walk” Will require the rear wheels to turn in exactly the same direction as the front wheels in order to get the car to move sideways.)

Was just watching a review of the Rivian Rt1 and I think they could have done a better job with styling front and with the cyber truck, it still looks like a rough draft.(shape needs serious forming and styling)..I think ill have to go for the Ford F150 L. The less futuristic styling suits me better. Change that front Rt1 and you are 2nd on my list.
I would rent all 3 and make a decision from there. These cars are dramatically different from normal cars, there are a lot of features to check out and make sure they all work how you want

Henson makes a great razor. I just bought one and it's solid built, clean shave, and lasts way longer than Schick and Gillette, especially if don't have super thick course hair.
It's unbelievable that a car company is back logged (production constrained) so far out. They are about to more than double their production capacity with Berlin & Austin, then it's off to the races, hold on folks its going to be like getting launched in a Plaid.

Bought a Ram Cummins 6.7 and nothing can beat it for range and towing for the price. Electric is still at the mercy of batteries that are uninspiring to say the least. My friend has a model 3 that was rated at 310 miles of range, never once got that for 50k miles and now is suffering battery degradation and only getting a rated range of 295 but never over 240 on the highway. My diesel gets 670 miles highway range now and will get that 20 years from now. I actually payed less for a diesel truck than he paid for a smallish 4 door sedan.
Anxious to see the real world performance of the 4680 cells 👍🏽

i've been in TSLA for 6 years..happy i did. I've ordered the S dual motor fsd while the tri motor fsd cybertruck gets here. i have lots of solar & backup battery to charge them both at home.. i also love SpaceX. we went to see it live last year from California to Texas Boca Chica. I was born in Raymondville btw.
Tesla needs to redesign the truck. No one would want to look stupid driving a truck that looks like it.

Wouldn't surprise me if Tesla make their own chip fab factory or buy an existing one.
Don't think they will but will work closely with manufacturer's to produce chips specific to Tesla's needs, such as different voltage requirements.
I really don't understand the aggressive turning, on every drive I can't think of a single scenario where my turning would be considered "aggressive"
I dont know powering a car out of a fast road traffic island can be very satisfying. It's fun so probably not allowed.
why 4 wheel steering? It will make the truck more complex and more expensive. Only a very few people will like this option for off roading. Just not worth the cost and complexity. It will make the groupies happy but the bread and butter truck drivers do not need or want it.

If you need to brake hard, it’s usually because you’re driving badly.
Sometimes people cut you off.. I am sure you can remember a time when that happened.
@@Bikerbug2020 They do but it's all statistics, it's just you getting into to those incidents even though it's not you fault. Over all it works out to remove those that brake hard and so on.
@@Bikerbug2020 The people who score highest will drive very cautiously in areas with few other vehicles and therefore less chance for other drivers to ruin their score. Unfortunately, the scoring system does not take into account certain aspects of driving that are out of your control. For example, on a highway someone may suddenly move into your lane just ahead of you, and you will be be dinged for unsafe following.

Do anyone know that the safe score is required for the first 7 day driving or until you get the FSD Beta?
