Awesome video as always!! I have had the T2C CarPlay box for about six months. Around Thanksgiving the website that the box goes to said the website isn't secure and it won't connect any more. I keep getting the same browser error. Have you seen or heard of this issue and if so what is the remedy? Thanks!!
I found a 2023 Y and a 2024 Y with the same specs 2k in price difference. I am inclined to get the 23’ but should I pay 2k more for the 24’?

@@DerAngeloMerteThat’s an option, but it will likely be much more expensive than the current models! You could get the 23 or 24 and add an aftermarket rear screen and ambient lights at a fraction of the cost. But that’s only if money and time are of no consequence to you.

Hey guys, do you have any information on the Model Y? I went online to order a model Y Performance and I am unable to do that! The Model Y online interface has removed the "Custom Order" button and replaced it with "Shop Available". So Tesla right now is forcing people to buy the existing stock of Model Y, you cannot configure and order one. And within a 200 mile radius of my home there are no Model Y performance models available. What the heck is going on? Do you think this is because Tesla wants to clear out the existing stock of Model Y because the Juniper Refresh Model Y is actually ready early!?!?! Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I took delivery of a model Y last week. They are definitely preparing for Juniper, so you may have to go into a dealership to order an inventory model that can be shipped to your location. Hopefully they have one that fits your specifications because they have slashed the prices. Including the $7500 instant tax credit, mine was $10K off the listed price. And remember you can add 3rd party accessories (seat & rim covers, a spoiler ect) to protect the car, at a fraction of the Tesla price.

I noticed your odometer coincidently is the same value as mine 8:07 (4200.9, I had to use service mode to see the 9 tenths of miles). I picked up my Model Y Performance on New Year’s Eve 2023, 53 days ago. That’s enough miles with free Supercharging, that it saves me in gas expenses around 2/3 of my loan and insurance per month.
I guess it’s ok that the car doesn’t completely pay for itself yet. Tesla really pushed those end of the year deliveries!
The "5th icon" thing has been there for a while, so has the share to the MCU (maps and even videos) and so has the sentry button changes but thanks for calling it out. Also, while I can sort appreciate the effort to put in CarPlay; I guess I just don't see the point. Tesla makes the best in-car interface out there, I just think CarPlay and AndroidAuto are just unnecessary.
OK... Let's update the Model Y to include: 1) Multiple driver Preference settings, as available in most cars over the last 15-years (seats and mirrors); and 2) Car wash mode (so that us Old People can also buy a Tesla that doesn't require going in-and-out of the computer screen). Maybe a Command, like "car Wash Mode" to get into a car wash... and a flip of the stalk down to drive to get back out (instead of having all the cars behind you honking their horns in a Frantic plea for you to move, before the CRASH happens)!!!

I’ll save you ~20 mins: you can use a box plugged in to your Tesla’s USB port which casts to a browser window in your Tesla to use the CarPlay from your iPhone.

You get standard with the purchase and can pay monthly for the higher package which is basically built in wifi. You also need the higher package to use Netflix, more in depth navigation etc

Ownice T3 works better and got dual band wifi so you can still use the build in apps in the tesla like navigation
T2C adaptor is just complete rubbish with NO support. When connected the hotspot does not work so the car loses connectivity.
If I buy a Tesla, or any car for that matter, I'm not using some hacked workaround to get Android Auto/Carplay working. It's going to have be natively supported.

Tesla is using google maps api so honestly I wouldn’t even care if it has CarPlay or not but there are some people who want CarPlay for other things I guess for good for them.

Robert, I thought of another reason to buy now rather than wait, tho it will not apply to many purchasers. I purchased a new Model Y December 1, 2023, and have liked it very much. In about 3 months, I will turn 75 years old. If I wait for an upcoming model, I may not have time to drive it. Besides, the 2023 model has so many improvements to my previous vehicles it will be quite a while before I learn and get used to it all.

I have been waiting over 3 months for delivery of my 2024 Model 3 Long Range and nobody knows anything-my car is way past original delivery date? Now every day, delivery date is extended, with no end in sight. Most other car manufactures can tell you where your car is every step of the production and delivery process, but not Tesla. Their customer service is non-existent after you order Beware
A white interior, I"m guessing. There seems to be a serious problem with delivery of those.

Went beck to iPhone after 8years of Android, was iPhone user before that, from 1st model... than tried 2 chinese phones, japanese and korean android... actually iPhone right now is The Phone, again and it just makes sense l, easier and faster to use. Ofc as anything it has its own hickups bit overall im happy to be back on iPhone. Still a Windows user...
T2C Carplay Box is a horrible product with many technical issues. Be aware of the rosy sales pitch in this video.

The lack of real CarPlay support is the reason I will never buy a Tesla. Ages ago now I got a HomeKit garage door and it’s so nice the way the option to open the door appears on the CarPlay Dashboard screen only when I’m near home and disappears when I don’t need it. No extra steps.
Bruuu you’re dismissing EVERYTHING else a Tesla can do just because it can’t connect to your iPhone? For what stream music? Calls? Certainly not texting because YOU’RE DRIVING. The first two are done natively through connecting your phone…I get so frustrated when people complain “i NEEEEED CarPlay” got forbid you just….idk pay attention to driving? To dismiss this entire class of car because you can’t text while driving at 70mph is just stupid (or select the song you want 10% faster). Okay so obviously some things are made easier, I do really mean a FEW things are made ‘easier’ with Apple CarPlay but I’ve been driving 10 years and never had car play. It’s not required you goof. It’s nice to have, absolutely, but good lord to dismiss Tesla simply for the lack of agreements between two companies who make billions, is childish, and demonstrates how needy you are for your phone. You do know you are supposed to be paying attention while driving right? I pray for those on the road around you. Maybe you should buy a Tesla for the self driving so you can not kill someone just to respond to someone’s texting saying ‘k’. Embarrassing excuse to dismiss the best EV on the road…I’m gunna take a guess and say your reading this on your phone, probably while driving, using a 2018 Honda accord where you paid 250 to get CarPlay installed. I’m not switching to a worse experience with a worse build quality car with worse longevity and one that can’t even get to most places in Australia due to lack of infrastructure when a Lexus or Mercedes or bmw or Audi are the same price and have MUCH higher quality interiors (and yes I’ve test driven the highland model 3)

Looks like you DID read it all lol. There’s alternatives for your garage, you can buy physical switches (unsure of your specific model) but I would be flabbergasted to learn your model does not have a physical switch. Maybe the garage door HomeKit is your problem - not the Tesla. The infrastructure in your country does play a role, I have chargers all around me so no issues.
Sounds like you are in the luxury market. With your predisposed hatred for Tesla I’m surprised you are even endorsing yourself to research them. The cars you listed are all awesome, so too is a Tesla. All are awesome in their own unique ways. Let’s agree to disagree that Teslas are awesome cars. But to be fair…you did say you weren’t gunna get one and listed the reason being linkage issues to your garage which in this specific example is a downside of your HomeKit (not saying it’s a bad kit, just a limitation). My parents have the same issue with their Tesla but got a $2.99 remote to open the door. Its just in the center counsel of the car, just like all the other cars our family owns.

I’m in Aus. I’ve spent about $1200 on several transactions. They are tremendously successful. Shipping has been fast. Chinese gov provides free shipping which stimulates its manufacturing economy. Their app is full of marketing tricks. Don’t get sucked in by constant “specials”. Most of the shit is just dirt cheap.
Also be cautious. Some shit is a lot smaller than it looks. If it’s dirt dirt cheap. It’s probably the old “Chinese quality” we came to expect from the 90’s. But for other stuff. It’s pretty good.
If you have kids. Grab a heap of $10-15 STEM kits. Awesome for a rainy day to build with the kids.

Having a sponsorship with Temu & promoting it to your subscribers will make people question whether you care about your subscribers. Ask how Temu is able to offer such prices! To do so would likely require the use of slave labor (which we know the CCP absolutely does), theft of foreign intellectual property (not having to spend the $$$ of R&D saves a tremendous amount), abusing some sort of shipping & import costs/ taxes, to name a few. Temu being a Chinese company also means that anyone who purchases through the website will have all of their data saved & accessible by the CCP, and Chinese mega companies (like TikTok) have been known to have spyware hidden w/in their apps. There is also the immense number of complaints over shipping times/ never getting items or only some, coming broken after waiting 2 months, difficulties getting refunds, struggles with clearing personal data & deleting account..
Really should find American companies or even European, Taiwanese, basically anywhere besides China.
