@@user-lq5nh1hm1x I think a certain exhaust note (or fake engine noise) and performance feel are a big selling point for luxury brands, at least the Euro ones where it's just as much about performance as luxury. And right now, after Tesla, Hyundai seems to have the market cornered on bespoke electric cars. It feels like other manufacturers are playing catch-up. Just my vibe read, but I feel like the electric era will trigger a Great Reset for auto brands.
@roastbeefy0weefy what about Rolls-royce? Lexus, genesis, range rover, acura, infiniti, DS automobiles, Volvo, and Lincoln are very well known luxury brands.. and they don't try to be sporty or loud.. and to be honest i used to think luxury cars with performance is cool.. but now it just defeats the purpose of a LUXURY car.
My favorite thing about the automotive industry right now is their absolute delusion towards the consumers. Nowadays, many are buying used and typically have a budget of $25k. With that in mind, the average new car costs around ~$40k on average, see where I'm going here? Nobody in their right mind will commit to that- not even the wealthy, and it shows. And the EVs? Don't even bother, because anybody worth their salt knows that they're simply too unreliable for the money they're spending, and that's not even mentioning the lack of third party repair. It doesn't matter how good the tax credits are, it's simply not worth it. Finally, we are not in a buyers market right now, all thanks to the economic damage we've sustained from the peons in charge. So for many, buying a new car isn't even on people's minds right now. Anyway, that's enough out of me.
Yeah, I hope so too. The Chinese acquiring Lotus was a mistake, and we as consumers have to make them realize that EVs go against the brands principles and ideologies.
I like the 500E styling tbh. But i have still never seen a single 2024 model driving around. Dealers around my area refuse to drop the prices on them tho. They’re super overpriced for the range they give.
@@viceonafridaynightI live in California and they’re still not selling well here at all. The only reason the old 500E sold well was because it was a California compliance car so that Fiat would be allowed to sell vehicles here. So the lease price at one point became cheaper than a cellphone payment. But the new one asks $3500 down at over $300 a month. Which is just way too much for what you get.
I'm looking on Turo for a trip right now, and the bottom of the price filter is all Fiat 500e's with negative reviews about range. And right above them are the ICE Fiat 500s.
2:00 Well bro Trump has stated he wants to remove the EV mandates and credits. Thats gonna cut the knees off all non Tesla/Rivian EV makers. The other manufactures see this and are reacting. These are moves that take years to make.
Nobody wants the Acura ZDX. I was at New York International Auto Show this year, and the ZDX was just ignored. It was put on display at the Acura booth, but on the side, and there were no barriers; anyone could just walk up and touch the car. Seriously, people just passed by it. A huge contrast for what was happening at the Genesis booth, because the Neolun concept had a lot of fans and it was behind an acrylic barrier. Goes to show Acura's lack of enthusiasm for the ZDX. And the public can tell.
My friend bought an electric Audi last month. But it’s because it had the best soft touch material for the price on the door panels. Which fair, they’re very nice to feel and very thick padded. But the one on this list is a cheap interior with no Audi brand identity, and that was his rational for not getting this one. Which makes sense. He’s an Audi loyalist. So if this means anything, then this electric Audi is alienating their customers and that might be why it sucks in sales. I think Audi should just either commit their electric offerings or not do them. Cuz the one good one has thought, but this, this is just half assed, and none of the half assed electrics really get anywhere
i had no idea u were from houston. As surprising as may sound Gladiators are not that common up here, although you’ll a few every now and then. Love from North Texas!
Loved the video, only thing I don’t agree with is that Tesla doesn’t make ugly cars, no one can tell me the Model Y and old Model 3 headlights look good, they look like bug eyes, the new model 3 taillights only look good at night, other than that tho their cars are decent, we got the supercharging network here which is why they’re dominating, unless if the charging infrastructure gets improved, not much to rely on in terms of third party charging rn
Most of these are EV's or something that is overpriced and depreciates 50% in 4 years and is $5,000 on marketplace at 7 years old, for some of these EV's thanks to most international Emissions mandates and increasing emissions laws on ICE means you make EV's or you die I don't like it but that's how most of the 1st world works.

I'll never understand why brands that are notorious for electrical gremlins think they can sell fully electric cars at a premium
Electric cars are great for luxury cars though.. i mean, isn't the aim for luxury cars are to be quiet and comfortable?

not surprised people dont want a overpriced, slow, unreliable, awd , hybrid turbocharged chyrsler product
Ugly too
hope that electric lotus suv becomes the worst selling car

The Corvette Z06 cost 110k. V8 Ferarris cost at least 500k. They have similar performance, so why spend more?

Can't believe you missed making a vid on the jaguar situation
Who says it’s not coming out next week?..
"In America Italian brands aren't really deemed to be all that impressive"
