The market sure isn't treating these poor guys well, join me as I go over my ideas for each brand and see if these guys have something to fix or not.
These brands are DEAD

The grim reaper is on their doorstep as we speak. Here I talk about four car brands on the verge of collapse.
Recent car trends have been...

Some of these things suck... some don't. Shoutout to my boy Ahad
I think the whole muscle/sports pickup truck craze of the 90s and early 2000s brought us some of the coolest and most unique performance vehicles out there. I’d kill to get my hands on a GMC Syclone
Y’all forgot the IS500 F sport
The acura ITS will be very close to a M2 on track which is crazy (plus the car that comes to mind when ‘underrated’ is said is the genesis G70 with the V6 rwd no one not even you have ever talked about it and you can get it for $35 used or $45 with 2-4k miles which is basically brand new)
Honda took acura out of the luxury sector because they do so poorly and they have been repositioned to be the sports brand for honda. They're a premium sports brand but...yea they're lost asf now
honestly Underrated currently just means whatever car doesn't have a price that is hilariously blown out of proportion
a lot of these cars a very solid and quick. that being said, i just can't go back to FWD cars. I love RWD too much and AWD is just superior in my opinion
haha. ever heard of a ferrari? didn’t think so .
What’s a Ferrari?
What about the Ford Taurus SHO? And the 1995 volvo 850 wagon turbo?
Wait.. are any of the cars on this list actually underrated?
5:41 The Worst TV Show Character of All Time I Buffy the Vampire Slayer
i enjoyed your content bro. unpopular but very tasteful opinions on cars
Camry trd and mazda3 2.5 turbo awd are also underrated
Another major important factor of the LS400 was the fact that the interior build quality in fit and finish was that it didn’t creak with the slightest pressure of the interior, even 30-20 years later. That’s what makes a luxury car a luxury car, euro market luxury cars are just not like that. Especially from VAG. Everything creaks with the slightest press on every interior trim and piece, my 99’ LS creaked less than multiple Mercedes/bmw/audi models and higher class models that are 1-10 years old. How is that luxury lol and how is the unreliability a luxury too.
I don't understand why they hate M2. It looks times better than the other new BMWs
I work at Acura and i see NSX’s alllll the time, even the super rare NSX Type S i’ve seen 3 of those. I’ve only driven the old First gen NSX and boy is it a fun car
Lucky man
Omgggggggggg thanksss for saying the overly underrated IS man literally lexus is sooooo underrated. I bet if you turbo them you get more power out of them than the german equivalent while being 100x more reliable. Literally my favorite luxury brand❤
Personally something truly underrated is the Acura tl type s. Specifically the 2008 and 2007 model. The car is truly ahead of its time and for how cheap it is it’s 100% worth every cent. The car aged like fine wine and personally I think the car looks wayyy better than most modern cars in this video. From a 3.5L j series to the optional 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual the car is truly a gem and more people need to start giving it some light.
They are such cool cars, rare find too
@ I drive a 08 tl type s in carbon bronze metallic it definitely gets some looks because it just dosent look the same as base Acura tl. The quad tail pipes gives the people a confused look and it’s very fun to drive. For about 5 grand there’s nothing like it In my opinion but they definitely ain’t as rare as one would think. Just not of frequently seen
Acura is dead.
@ I mean when Acura and Honda selling more than Toyota and having more reliable cars unlike Toyotas blowing up engines and their tundras/tacomas breaking down after 5k miles new I think it’s safe to say Acura is doing very well.
I wanted one of these bad as a kid especially the 6spd
I’d add on to that list with the Jag F-Type, the pre 2019 ones look phenomenal. Supercharged V6 or V8 roadster, either manual or automatic, I think it’s worth mentioning.
Oh and don’t get me started with the sound, when you open the valves, it’s pure eargasm
You can get one for hella cheap too
I'd add to the list the Audi S8 D3 with the 5.2 V10, imagine a hotel on wheels that sounds like a gallardo, the S8 D3 is it, and its not as ludicrously unreliable as people make it out to be, there are examples with over 300k km and many low mileage ones go for well under 20k. Another mention would be the VW Phaeton, if the entire car was not beyond a nightmare to work on, i'd consider the V6 TDI to be the ultimate luxury bargain since they go for under 10k and they use a relatively common engine and drivetrain, and its not as bad as the W12 to run and fix
as being a brown boy bmws are so overrated by fellow brown boys, but no one knows how m2s are. so much better and smaller. idk it’s so annoying how brown boys glaze bmws and think they’re the best cars
The BMW M8 is super underrated. One of the best BMW’s created in 2020 in my opinion
Renault modus where
idk why I would get a acura integra for 52k when i could get a is-500 for 60k. def worth the 8k difference. acura integra is over priced imo.
I feel like it’s a very different style of driving. The IS is an Asian muscle car, the Acura is a type R. Two very different experiences
while some of your picks are debatable at most... i think one thing many people can agree on with why car brands are dying is that they stopped caring about the consumer or just are unaware of how to maintain or attract an audience, or have lost their identity one main issue would just be the lack of choices you have with car companies now. other than some Japanese brands... European and American(especially) brands have basically given up on giving people choices for vehicles. take Dodge, back in the early 2010's, we had: -Challenger -Charger -Ram trucks -Durango -Viper -Journey -Grand caravan -Avenger -Dakota now what does dodge have in 2024? -Durango -Hornet And as for Europe, volkswagon in 2014 had: -Beetle -CC -Eos -Golf GTI -Jetta and Sportswagon(putting them together since they're both called Jettas) -passat -routan -tiguan -touareg Now in 2022, they have: -Atlas -passat -taos -tiguan thing is when car companies are saying they are trying to cater to more people, they remove the choices made for those people, there's no longer cheap commuters for people who want that kind of vehicle, there isn't a cheap sports car option to draw in younger drivers. nowadays it's overpriced Trucks, SUV's and crossovers. another reason would be that companies have lost their identity, and their audiences as well. Mitsubishi is great example of this, they built their identity off of their Amazing and affordable sports cars like the Lancer EVO, the Eclipse, the 3000 GT. nowadays they have 4 cars, 2 being the same thing but one is just a hatchback version of another. they went from making cars everyone wanted, to cars no one wants.
I get wet when I think of 2008 accura tsx type S. V 6, manual. N.A. with LSD and posh interiors. All under 10k.
Hell yes brother
I dont think M2 is underrated at all, everyone is glazing it rn
2:21 Another very underrated hot-hatch that one could mention is the Seat Leon Cupra 1M, although I don't think they were available on the US market. It has the 1.8T 20v Audi engine (the one with the cast iron block) so it has a lot of tuning potential. I also think it ages pretty well for a car from the early 2000s, especially the front.
I hate sports
After the Aggie lost to Texas me too
Genesis G70 3.3tt it's an insanely underrated and affordable competitor for European cars, and Genesis has been improving every year. People are side eyeing it because Genesis was a part of Hyundai until 2015 when Genesis parted from Hyundai, which in the past was unreliable but after several years Hyundai has been becoming very reliable. Genesis is also really reliable. The maintenance cost is low, they look gorgeous and a great alternative to most European counterparts. They are also HEAVILY detuned from factory. Tunability is immense in that 3.3tt and can keep up with most BMW Ms and AMGs with the right tune FOR VERY CHEAP. Alot of people made over 500-600 hp spending under $2k in upgrades.
0:24 I sure do love my porches
i would do evil unspeakable acts for a g series 240i
After a year of owning one, I would have done the same. Zero competition in this price range (new cars).
Twenty dollars is twenty dollars
@ a 700hp stage 1/2 tuned m240i is gods gift on the nord, i pray for the day i see those combined 😌
I think the Volvo P1800 is one of the most underrated cars ever made.
Audi rs7 is criminally underrated
Any audi's are true bang for buck.
@@ajaxsid9034 i only like 2 evs, and the audi e-tron is one of them
other one is porsche taycan btw
the focus is euro tho
The GNX was my favorite underrated car before kendrick's new album, still a dream car tho
YES! THE GIULIA i love it
Tatra 603 is underrated, insane V8 sound Maserati, Alfa and Fiat in general
You forgot to add hyuindai i30n/veloster n
fair amount of people drive that
@@paulanerspezial even more people drive m2's :D. Your statement doesn't make sense. All I am saying is the fact that the car is underrated and unappreciated in the community. Yes there're reviews that give credibility, but the same could be said about the m2 in copious amounts :D. It's said to be the ultimate real M car since it's closer to the e36/46 which were the grail ones. As for the Hyundai... Well people say it's a good competitor which is definitely not the absolute truth. To be absolutely correct is far superior car to the Golf which is it's biggest competitor and that's considering long term ownership, cost, fun factor, hp per ton and etc. That's why I added the comment about it.
@@SimeonMihalkov i see you but when i hear underrated i view not the total amount of cars people drive but the amount of cars driven in relation of what the car can offer, and it might differ at my location but here in germany i see the i30n fairly often
The Toyota matrix is my underrated favorite. I could get sound corners with ease, in a Corolla platform. And I could fit a queen sized bed roll in the car with the trunk closed and still park comfortably in a city. Yeah it only got 22mpg most of the time, and it had that classic Toyota low attempt at mitigating road noise, but it was excellent otherwise.
You forgot another criminally underrated sports car, that being the Lotus Emira. It looks stunning, pretty sure it has a V6, and nobody talks about it. Hidden gem.
Any lotus really is severely underrated
The Nissan Z is also called a Nissan 400Z like the 350Z and 370Z but yeah still doesn’t make a difference lol
After all of the research I’ve done for that car, no idea it was called the 400Z. Nissan really can’t name cars well can they😂
@@viceonafridaynight haha yeah 😂
nissan never mentioned 400 thats the term the car community made up so everyone started using it i bet nissan does still not know we call it the 400z
It was definitely not called the 400z. The 350 in 350z means 3.5 Litre engine. The new Z doesn't have a 4 Litre engine so they dropped that naming convention and just called it Z.
@@nicechadi looked it up. 400Z means 400 horsepower.
the rs was overlooked because the normal focus was blowing transmissions like crazy, the ford focus manuals were good buuuut the focus was also known for blowing gaskets left and right. Ask me how I know lmao
Doesn't the RS still have the same PowerShite transmission?
Man i wish Australia would get the Type S, we need more fast saloon cars here, we do get the Civic Type R though.
the only time ive seen an NSX was at a car show with my friend and i didnt even realize how rare it was lmao. it was this really nice bluish-purple color and it was so sexy. Also, great video as always, i could see you becoming a massive car channel if the algorithm is actually useful for once.
LC500?
For me, the most underrated car is the Ford Flex since no one talks about how quick it is, and it has some unique design. Sadly, it was discontinued because it didn't sell much.
Lexus LFA. One of the criminally underrated car in the world. They just showed the world that super cars can last long if make them in that way.
yeah only sounds good but slow af
I’d agree with you if we were 12 years in the past. Nowadays, I strongly believe it’s one of the most overrated
overrated
Yall literally throwing the word underrated on everything it lost its meaning
and is criminally expensive and difficult to service
the bmw m2 is truly an underrated car and a very over looked one as well
Because it's ugly
It's heavy af, and doesn't offer the same driving pleasure as a lot of other cars. BMW really did lose their way.
underrated channel
