Thanks! Back surgery for scoliosis is a trauma for the body. Alfons movement lessons are a healing journey, necessary for learning to adjust to the new reality. Always learning!

Very interesting and lovely lesson, Alfons. I noticed how important it is to turn the head ever so slightly in the end. Then the integration of both sides is frankly delicious :)
    Thank you again!

I just found this one, I've been back on my bicycle the last few days and really feeling it though my hips. Alfonso it's always a pleasure, like spending time with a quirky and gentle friend. Thank you x

Also I thought it was funny to experience this guidance in a completely different climate. I had to pause to put on another layer of clothing as well a light blanket, while you were there sweating :)

Thank you so much, Alfons, for this and all the lessons you share. My right hip has a little clunk in it that did not go away, but the tension in what feels like tendons to the right of my knee that felt like they were twisting back and forth over one another relaxed. I could really feel a spot to the right of my sacrum which is a place I can feel when my glutes are firing correctly after other lessons I’ve done of yours on the hips and glutes.
I want you to know that a couple years ago I couldn’t walk or use my hands and arms for relatively unknown reasons and then I found Feldenkrais and you. Today I hiked 4 miles and cooked and varnished a stool.
I am so grateful for your work which pairs with meditation and changing my thoughts so that they feel good. Your lessons are a part of my day that feels relaxing and joyful and I KNOW they make the rest of what I do possible. Bless you!!

Alfons you linked me here from the cross legged sitting video.
This helped to free some ‘stuck stuff’ inside the front of my left hip from a hernia repair repair (yes I did it twice) that was affecting my right hip. I guess it was adhesions they asked me to accept the risk of before the surgery.

keeping the body well maintained is like sweeping the tide out… beautifully put!
when I look up from my screen and forget about taxes, mandates, and deadlines, I sometimes think that‘s all we got to do… keep this body moving, and help others to do so as well
there’s days you catch a good wave when the tide comes in and surf‘s up and all is well

So very generous of you. You're highly likeable, come across as humble (my favourite trait in a teacher!) and caring...so thank you. Have made a donation. "See" you again soon! I have been suffering from sciatica since January. This exercise really helps that condition. I have had trouble as well with a chronic tightness in my outer thigh muscles. I did this exercise yesterday on my right side and it really began to address that issue. It did it so well that I repeated it today on my left side. Thank you so much for making the video and for doing the cards at the beginning.

Great excercise, much needed as the muscles in the back of my thighs want to cramp up, so I need to stop, relax, then come back into the excercise when gradually the cramping seems to subside.

Hi Alfons - Thank you for creating all these videos. We have started to do one per day during this strange time in lockdown, and they have improved our posture, neckpain, backpain and confidence.
We have a request - could you do something for the pelvic floor, please?
    Greetings and thanks from London

  • @ShamelesslyCreative

So is the whole process you did with the right supposed to be repeated on the left side to complete this exercise?

    • @ImprovingAbility
      @ImprovingAbility  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It’s much worse than you did phantom, it’s supposed to be repeated in a multitude of positions and variations. The possibilities for human movement, as with music, language, and imagination, are endless.
