jahh... the fleetingness of this kind of magic... at first it’s like washing your hands, then it’s like brushing your teeth, then it’s like a haircut... and maybe one day it’s like a second language... for the most part it stays with you .. as long as you speak it once in a while...
@@ImprovingAbility Great sentence! Also I feel that if I keep the stimulus coming, whether it's dancing, walking on new nature topography, just moving in new ways, etc.. anything with new and varied information... it also helps with keeping and enriching the magic. Like Hypertrophy for neurology? :) Reminds me of my grandma learning new languages at 90 year old, saying to keep "feeding the brain". I feel new information is like food :) (the trophy in hypertrophy)
Dear Alfons -Thank you SO much for this opportunity to do this life changing Feldenkrais. Ive suffered trauma and have done mindfulness then Trauma sensitive mindfulness, then Yoga trauma sensitive classes and this Feldenkrais is the most exceptional excellent way to 're-wire' the brain and heal the nervous system in trauma. This method is the very BEST way to be in your own body and to be! I find buying CDs at the Feldenkrais institute so expencive and its not affordable to buy many CDs . Finding you on You Tube has been a blessing and I thank you so very much! Your sessions are helping me recover from trauma and develop myself gently. Thank you.
Yes yes!!!! So glad to see you pop in again!!!! For anyone new to Alfonso I will encourage you to stay and seek the freedom from pain and to increase your ability to move with greater ease! I suggest his books too, both are very helpful!!!!!!! I have 90% broken a terrible pain cycle mostly through following along.... Best wishes to everybody!!!!
I have had MS for 31+ years! I wish I had found Feldenkrais sooner!! So helpful! I have a local practitioner who is currently on Holiday so been watching Alfons videos and loving it!! Thank you so much!!
That one was excellent!! I’m struggling w foot pain L and R knee pain & R hip pain. After session I felt my hips align and felt more upright! I’ll come back to this one for hip pain…thanks so much!!😊
The result is ASTOUNDING! I can do the yoga butterfly pose! Your hamstring, hip flexor, shoulder & neck videos are INCREDIBLY helpful. From Irvine, California, I LOVE YOU!!!
A really beautiful lesson. Thank you. A few months ago this was too challenging for me. But I’ve been taking a few weeks to do what you suggest and memorize moves and practice them on my own. It has made such a difference in my awareness of my body and movement.❤️
Alfons, my lower body feels so so light. I hope that this feeling will stay. I have never felt comfortable to explore but with your lessons I learn there's freedom in learning and exploration 🙂 Thank you. Please do a lesson for jaws. 🙏
I had this thought often after doing Feldenkrais explorations. The sense that a profound change happened. And yet it seems to disappear after a while. I think we just have to repeat it again with an attitude of a "beginner's mind."
@@nishkkamanglani9562 I used to get annoyed when I caught myself "relapsing" into the old. These days I am more philosophical about it; at least I became aware of it. It remains a challenge.
Alfons I need to thank you for videos like this. I started doing the movements you have suggested in your many lessons in preparation for a trip to Japan as I was suffering from stiffness and back pain. Well....suffice to say that I managed the trip and all the walking I had to do without ANY pain at all! I find all your lessons very helpful but I do tend to focus on my hip joints and neck. Vielen Dank 🙏
Yes it’s magic! Really interesting exploration of my hips which have been feeling a little off lately loved it ! Enjoy Vietnam the book arrived today just in time for Christmas break!
Another excellent video. Thank you very much!! Just what my hips needed. I am very proficient 😉😉at sitting as my job as legal translator keeps me behind my desk a lot. Have a safe and pleasant time in Vietnam.
This helped, bur, i still have pain, it is less, but, tomorrow I needed more would you be able to suggest the part two of this one to complete this one.
this particular one yes, use a pillow like I do. You might also want to use a big pillow on the floor, to welcome your knee to rest on it, tilt your knee from pillow to pillow so to speak
@@ImprovingAbility hello, i've advance AVN bilateral both hip joint.. Can I do this exercise? I can't move my leg upwards, can't cross leg sitting or lying, i feel pain.
Hi Alfons and thank you very much for this marvellous teachings 🙏👍🎆, can the practice of feldenkrais alone be enough for feeling healthy and free? I love this practice and I have no time to go to the gym and workout, I want to do everyday just only feldenkrais 👌. What you think?
1. Feldenkrais is about movement organisation 2. Bicycle and running about cardio 3. Gym about strength and endurance 4. Dr. Greger (book “How not to diet”) says “you can’t outrun a bad diet” 5. Probably need a combo of these for optimal health 😊👍
Mohamed Boutarfa : Hi! I don’t have much time for a gym either AND I do not like the noise in them either! I’ve found wonderful “indoor walking”programs and do my feldenkrais in the evening about an hour before I call an end to my long days
dear alfons, thank you for this video, while i did this, i noticed that my legs tremble and are very shaky. what could be the reason? i do have a s4 nerve compression between the L4 and the L5 disc, will these exercises help to fix this problem and to be pain free? or can you please recommend suitable exercises?. thanks again for your knowledge sharing. Namaste from India!
Try this video lesson, Do your hip joints connect up? th-cam.com/video/M75wiJndoJ4/w-d-xo.html , play with these movements a lot, and also do the video “Isometric gluteal squeezes”, and then return to this one, see how it changed. Good luck!
Have so much pain in the inner part of legs when in the starting position and I lift my leg just a little to the right. My right hip groin knee thigh are in pain and slightly swollen. Can you give me some advice. Both of legs are tight where they connect to my torso and low back. What a mess I am.
Hi Chery, I have two videos on the "pelvic clock", maybe work with those movements first... support your legs with pillows.. and .. ... isn't it great to actually have a pair legs? Just need to organise them a bit better, and it will feel great!
dear alfons, its magic when im doing it but the day after usually im loosing the magic again.. should i do every day or what?
