My apologies, apparently I don't know my right from my left 😀In the segment showing the battery indicator, buttons and microSD slot I incorrectly stated they are on the left, they are clearly on the right (they were on the left when it was upside down, so there's that lol). Doesn't matter how many times I watch a video before going public, I sometimes overlook the obvious. Thank you for watching!
There was a small gas station about a mile away from our house back in the early-mid 80's. I remember walking up there weekly with a handful of quarters just to play Galaxian. Brings back some great memories, had to throw it in the video lol
@@WagnersTechTalk Agreed John. I had just joined the Canadian Military and I walked into the Junior Ranks Mess at my first posting and there, in a corner, was a lonely Galaxian machine just begging to be played and damn did I play it. 1982 wasn't my first intro to arcade games, far, far from it but it was definitely an impactful experience in my gaming life that I'll never forget.
Excellent and thorough review (as always)! I recently got a TIPI for my TI-99/4A and now I'm interested in other projects using the RPi. This tablet looks amazing!
Thank you Ryk, congrats on the TIPI how are you liking it? This tablet is amazing, you can use it in so many more ways that I've not even touched on. I'll likely be talking about it again soon on the channel.
@@WagnersTechTalk I love the TIPI. And it works great in combination with the FinalGROM99, too! JediMatt just made a TIPI software upgrade that adds a handy backup feature. TI-99/4As are better than ever!
Thanks John. Great stuff. I'm starting to wonder if there is any device that can't be used in some way to Retro game. Thumbs sore, playing Castlevania on my Funkey S.
@@WagnersTechTalk I wonder if the raspad 3 could be used without a raspberry pi - just as a stand alone portable monitor. The internal micro HDMI input port should display HDMI from any source. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyways I ordered one on eBay and will have to give it a try. Would be nice to have a field monitor for my cannon camera. Also looking forward to finally having a Linux tablet!!! Was able to grab a raspi4 with 8 gigs of ram!!! All the best - curt.
I really want this but at the price I just cant justify the buy. Maybe if it came with the pi but 250 + the pi4 over 300 is just to much. Id grab it if it was the same price as the pi 4 8gig, But as is, my 15 dollar pawn shop monitor and old keyboard and mouse works just fine
There is a coupon option that you should see on the Amazon order page. Checking that should provide $40 off, bringing the price down to around $210. Also, watch for any black Friday sales, I'm not aware of any but just a guess that the price may drop slightly around that time.
I was a Kickstarter backer for this one and it predecessor. Nice machine. Also won some earphones for posting pictures of my setup.

Love that the first retro game that used as an example was Galaxian. I also dropped hella lot of coinage myself in that damn machine. Fun stuff John.

If there is the will, there is definitely a way! Thank you for watching Hunter.

I've not used it, but great suggestion!
Can i use it for octoprint 🤔
Yes you can, see 16:08 I even show it 😎
Thanks i didn't go so far, i just received a printer " Ender 3 " and have a raspad with a pi 4 and 8gb so there is also a use for it 👍

What if they team up with AMD
That would be sweet!
I am totally amazed how much space is wasted inside and no place to fit a hard drive!! So I would not purchase this item, a very bad design.
I appreciate your input, a location for an M.2/SSD is indeed a great suggestion!
