    Very cool bundle. $90 seems like a good price. Thanks for the video Wagner.

      Thanks for watching Rexer! I'm very pleased with the accessibility of all the ports and the touch screen itself. Just before this video, they dropped the price to $79.99.

      From the SunFounder FAQ, there are a few things mentioned here: docs.sunfounder.com/projects/ts7-pro/en/latest/faq.html#can-t-touch . You can reach out to SunFounder here, if needed: www.sunfounder.com/pages/contact-us

    Hello, I followed exactly what you did but when I was booting up the raspberry pi connected to the LCD. It keeps getting stuck at the welcome screen. I am using SanDisk 64gb. I completely don't know what I'd wrong. I hope you can help me out

      It's likely an issue with the Pi image on the microSD card. You can try a different card or the same card (I'd try a different card myself), then use these steps to burn the PiOS image: wagnerstechtalk.com/common/#Burn_an_Image_with_Raspberry_Pi_Imager

    Thanks for the tech talk Mr. I like to just watch these whenever there is something new. In general and not this video in mind: Great information, not too harsh on the tech but at least people SEE what they can get, and the video itself says more than words when it comes to slow loads, lags, the builds, the settings and the systems. Thank you!

      It's far more efficient for those 15 seconds lol. I've heard from several that love it.

      Thank your for your feedback my friend! Thought it might speed up the more mundane process of stating the specs.

    any cheaper options that house ssd drive display?

    • @WagnersTechTalk
      @WagnersTechTalk  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't say if there is/isn't a cheaper option, that's going to vary depending on what features you're most interested in, when you purchase (sales/holiday/coupon codes), etc. I can only demonstrate the product. At $80, it seems like a good price for the features available. Also, check out the reviews on Amazon for more opinions on the product. I personally have found SunFounder products to be excellent quality and my most-used Pi 4 accessories. I will be reviewing a new case from them in the next month but it doesn't have an integrated display like this one.

    I wish I could love the Pi's but two pi's and both have the weakness inherit to them, insertion and removal of the power connection is the weakness, pi 3b connector is basically trashed, pi 4 wont even boot, never worked right its the 8gb version. This is a nice looking way to use a Pi, but with the prices these days and the problems with the pi's I am moving on to At games and hard drive pc emulations!

    • @WagnersTechTalk
      @WagnersTechTalk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry you've had some bad experiences with the Pi. Yeah prices on Pi's these days are crazy. On the Pi 4, are you seeing any LEDs come on? If not, could be the power supply (I often use CanaKit power supplies). If you do, could be the micro HDMI to HDMI cable. I've had a couple bad cables which were a PITA, after replacing it with another, it was fine. The new Network bootloader feature is pretty cool too (No PC needed - after updating the firmware that is). Not sure if this will help, but worth mentioning.

      @@WagnersTechTalk Ya both both Pi's are Canakits, the pi 3 the power supply failed once the replacement gets the lightning bolt, connector trashed from so many hard power offs due to crappy retropie images lol. The pi 4 I have is an 8gb and I guess its known to be a problem child, haven't been able to ever get any retro image to load on it. Now the eeprom is trashed and it wont update or boot, just too much bs for me, I am an IT Admin and I appreciate tech but this is tinker toy bs to me when I am used to workstations and server hardware, so back to pc emulations and At Games!

      You may want to contact CanaKit here with the issue on the Pi4: www.canakit.com/Contact . I've received exceptional service from them, as have others that have commented in other videos. Let them know the issue, you may be impressed with the response.

    Thanks for video, got the unit and ran into the same HDMI loose bridge for PI 4 but thanks to your video, it was resolved quickly. The hardware power, menu, +, - and back buttons are not intuitive to use and the HDMI audio on my unit was set to zero volume as default. I can't find any instructions on how to use the buttons so I had to do it by trial and error. I could find any documentation on these buttons. Speakers work but are low quality if running video under kodi/youtube ect. But can switch to Bluetooth speaker as a fix. I'm using VNC if I need a keyboard and use cell phone or ipad to control kodi.
    If anyone how the hardware buttons work, I would appreciate it.

      Hi Spencer, happy the video helped with the HDMI bridge. At 10:29 I go over the buttons. Basically, the Menu button becomes the select button. I double-checked the manual and it doesn't really discuss the buttons on the panel much at all, I agree that is an area for improvement (I'll mention it to SunFounder). After a bit of experimenting, I got used to it. I used it mainly for playing a few retro games and the sound was decent for that. But for Kodi connecting via BT or A/V out would be a better experience.

      @@WagnersTechTalk thanks again, the key is double click on menu to select. I was stumbled into the menu select and didn't know how I got there until now. THANKS
      No sure if it makes any difference (having only one display), I am running videos with the screen set to "video", and "ultra vidid" enabled.

    Hey Wagner if I buy an Asus 4K 32 inch 165 Hz monitor & stick it in the Atgames Legends pinball machine will it work with the stock PCB set up..or only a computer❓❓thanks Wagner

    • @WagnersTechTalk
      @WagnersTechTalk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've honestly never tried it, my "guess" is only a PC. I've not replaced the ALP monitor.

    • @CyberCiles
      @CyberCiles 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WagnersTechTalk I hear you..do you think it would work with the Nintendo switch since you can use a switch on the machine through HDMI & what computer specs do you think I would need for that kind of monitor to work..(if you have time to answer)…thank you👊🏻

    • @WagnersTechTalk
      @WagnersTechTalk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CyberCiles I've heard that the Switch will work, but not in cabinet mode (no backglass) and I think you have to use the Joycons on the switch instead of the flipper buttons (I've not tried it myself). As far as PC specs, I would expect the 2nd PC mentioned here should be sufficient: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp-mod1/#Suggestions . If I were going to replace my current rig (which is fine and don't need to), I'd likely go with this one. Hope that helps!

    • @CyberCiles
      @CyberCiles 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the computer spec suggestion…& yeah the switch does work I use it now on the machine you do have to use the joy cons for your flippers but it’s not that bad until I get a PC hooked up..& then I can use the buttons for everything…sorry I guess I didn’t word it correctly but I was just curious if the Nintendo switch would have any issues working with the 4K monitor
      (but now that I think about it..it works on my 4K TV so it should work on that monitor no problem I suppose)
