If you are not just the BEST person to do video's of equipment, bikes, dyno's etc. I don't know who is? You are just the basic, honest, tell it like it is but with an educated means. Thank you!
My jaw hit the table when I saw how tight your service area is. When you got in the elevator then my jaw hit the floor! Binge watching your vids, they are great!!
Thanks for the response about the 128 build involving the clutch upgrade. I in fact have had this done on my NEW 2020 Road Glide. Because of your post, I got with my mechanic and was prepared to pay for the upgraded clutch. He cut me off and told me i didn’t need to because it came with the kit I bought from HD and said there were now 10 discs that replaced the 9 stock ones as well as the springs. I am going to show him your response and see what he has to say. Not trying to prove anyone wrong... just want my bike right.
Wow! Did not realize the amount of work involved in doing that. Pretty damn cool!! I'm a rider not a mechanic. My 2017 SGS is in the shop now being bumped up from a 107 to 128. They couldn't install my Smart Auto Tune, HD Corp realized they biffed it on that and working to get a pipe out that is fitted for the O2 sensors and will be at a later date. Blockhead did two videos on the 131 where its his first time riding it and then a match up between a Live Wire. Good videos to watch and hear it let loose. Comparing the Dyno charts between the 128 & 131, they are almost the same where you wouldn't know the difference when riding.
Arsenal HD in Waterford MI! You guys just did my 128 Stage 4 kit on my 2019 Street Glide “Standard”, with Cobra Neighborhaters! She will be on the Dyno on Tuesday, Dale said.
I agree with red ride, you should start your own shop, you'd get alot of business man,....and definitely make more money, a mechanic I take my bike to did just that,....went to mmi in Florida, worked for a dealership for 10 year's, then bought a little block build big enough for a lift , some tool boxes, and a dozen bikes to fit in and is killing it!...
Well, it looks, like I can answer my own question. A Screaming Eagle clutch upgrade comes with the 128 engine build kit for a 2020 Road Glide 107 . HD has already taken into account the increased torque.
None of the 128 or 131 screaming eagle kits come with a clutch. The kits mention if you have a 17 or 18 model the you should install the new 10 plate clutch kit. Its all in the description when you look at the 128 or 131 kits on Harley Davidson .com. During the installation video of this build you can see where I install the new 10 plate clutch. Here is a link to the HD web site that shows the clutch holding capacity. www.harley-davidson.com/store/high-capacity-clutch-plate-kit
T-man sell an air cleaner of similar height/length dimensions , but much deeper. Test flows showed "no loss" (same as running bike with no air cleaner at all). But, they're NOT cheap 😉🤠
Ya. I've used the T-man no loss air cleaner kit on twin cams, it's a nice piece for sure. I havent used it on a Milwaukee 8. It was all billet and pretty trick.
We do a heat cycling treatment and after that it's all broken in. I've taken engines apart 30k after I assembled and had done this breakin and its like zero ware had happened. Thanks for the view and the comment.
Hey brother. Just bought a 2018 Road Glide Ultra. New to the HD world and I will never go back! First, any tips for a new HD rider other than to keep all fluids fresh on time? Second, I see this bike has transmission fluid? Is that like gear shift fluid like I had on my BMW K1600 or is this something different and what is it used for? Last, I noticed it was belt driven, is the belt pretty much maintenance free vs having a chain? I've also had shaft drive. Thanks for your time and videos!
Congratulations and welcome to the brand and channel!!! I'm not sure about your old bmw but yes we have transmission fluid. I would recommend the screaming heavy gear oil. Its available at any HD dealership. The only maintenance a drive belt has is keeping it tight. The tool from HD is like $15 to check it and keep it free from rocks and debris. I've seen many belts make it 100k miles no problem.
@@HarleyDavidsonWizard Thanks brother! I've had a few bikes but never an HD. I love it and get it now why people love them. The ride and sound you just can't get anywhere else not even on an Indian. Demo those yearly for free and HD is just the best. Had to wait though and make sure I loved to ride before investing 20k in a bike and now I'm glad I did. Have a great day and keep up the good vids!
I'm curious to see what the 131" build with the t man cam does. I'm currently on a 19rks with hd heavy breather, fullsac header with tab performance slip ons, a woods 22x cam with a tts tuner. #s came out at 126 torque/103 hp. Bike runs great but I'm always looking for more.
You made mention of a SE clutch upgrade due to the increased HP causing the clutch to slip. Does this currently come with the 128 Kit OR is it a recommended or necessary upgrade by HD when installing the 128 upgrade? Should I expect clutch slippage if I don't upgrade? Can you tell me what the NEW 2020 clutch HP rating is for the 2020 Road Glide 107 is? Obviously, this for a 2020 Road Glide application.

Hey Brad how is that set up running , people say that the cylinders are thin and get too hot is that true? try to decide between that 107 to 128 set up and aftermarket 124 kit.
We've done alot of 128 and 131 screaming eagle kits and they have been great. I havent had problems with any kits I've installed as of yet. If you wanted factory warranty or extended warranty then do the screaming eagle kit for sure, they are best with a fat cat exhaust. If your looking for maximum power and warranty isnt a concern then do an aftermarket kit. That's what I normally recommend to people.
I purchased my 17 Street Glide Special from your dealer. You may have done the work on my bike. Now I am looking at doing that same kit. What do you think and how much will it cost to buy and have you install it? I have the tuner and power duels already. Auburn Hills
If you don't care about the warranty, call T-Man performance. His big bore kits are the best out there! His cylinder sleeves are .30" longer so the piston doesn't rock at the bottom of the stroke. He knows his shit
yes, Harley Davidson offers the 107 to 128 kit. www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/Screamin-Eagle-Milwaukee-Eight-Engine-Stage-IV-Kit-107CI-to-128CI/p/92500077 the kits are vehicle specific so double check your looking at the right kit, I just grabbed a link to the first one that popped up.
Mouse turds in the left saddlebag? When mine's in the garage & on the Tender, my left saddlebag lid is open. I do this because my tender plug is easier to pull out & store back with the bag lid open. My big difference is NO vermin in my garage!
In my opinion they come with decent engines. it’s not unusual for us to get traded in bikes that have 80,000+ miles on them. If you mean performance wise, no manufacture offers the highest performance of any product, heck even the hell cat doesn’t come with the greatest stuff in the world. It would be nice to see a 131 come in a brand new bike tho.
Harley Davidson Wizard by decent I meant more power stock. I can’t afford a new bike that needs engine work straight out of the box to be impressive. It would be nice to have the biggest and best they can do from the factory to start. Harley sales aren’t doing very well, for the cost maybe the best they can offer would help.
If you are not just the BEST person to do video's of equipment, bikes, dyno's etc. I don't know who is? You are just the basic, honest, tell it like it is but with an educated means. Thank you!

Your 2020 comes stock with the 10 plate as far as I know.
@@HarleyDavidsonWizard Does that mean it is set up to handle the torque that the 128 SE Kit generates?
Yes.

This time lapse video is the perfect explanation of why you want an experienced engine builder to do this upgrade for you. Great job!
Thanks. And I agree.
Thanks Wiz. Now I want an elevator for my ultra limited!

A top secret under ground laboratory. I love it.
Another great video! Looking forward to more of the 131 build.

Looks like it hits hard. Was watching your tachometer while you were in 2nd. It slapped that red zone.
The rev limiter is raised when doing this kit so the RPM meters red zone isn't completely accurate.
And the flat rate is why I work for myself Brad lol
solid video! Thanks for sharing the process

Would you recommend running the OEM header that comes with the SE128 kit over the vance & hines powerdules for performance?
For performance I'd do a aftermarket exhaust system. The power duals would be good.
... that's great... No underlying Ghettoness to it.... Gotta luv this 👍💪🇺🇸
Thanks for the complement and view!
Motorcycle on an elevator! SO cool! lol..
Sweet time lapse of the engine work. Not sure if ripping on it during the test ride follows the break-in advise though.
We do a heat cycling treatment and after that it's all broken in. I've taken engines apart 30k after I assembled and had done this breakin and its like zero ware had happened. Thanks for the view and the comment.
Sounds good. Would love the the info on the heat cycling treatment as well

@bradthewizardguy
Did you get to dyno it yet and tune it? Have dyno sheet to post on here? Thanks
Can the stock flywheels handle all that horsepower if you actually use it?????
Yes.
How many hours did it take to do the complete R&R? Thanks!
It takes me around 10 hours from rolling the bike into my bay till riding it out of the bay.
Bacically a full day at the shop.

Yo the elevator stuff seems sketchy. Not to mention all the bikes you gonna drive around. It’s like a maze
I would prefer for it not to be that way. But thats just how it is currently. Small fish in a big pond situation. Thanks for the view!
Yeah you will be replacing that junk transmission next
Where are you located?
I'm at Arsenal Harley Davidson in Waterford Michigan.
