    Learned a lot to look for since I am 1.5 hours away from my nearest dealership. Talked to many Harley Dealership mechanics through the years and heard some interesting things they have come across with work done from other non-Harley dealership mechanics. Not dis'ng all who work on them but very conscience of what I can do and who works on my bikes.

    Thnx maestro very much. Please bear in mind that oil pressure issue (both low and high) with milwaukee8s is still a great concern for so many people. Cheers, and stay in, stay well.

    What's the part # of that air pressure gauge that hooks up to a compressor? I replace my rubber muffler mounts every 2yrs regardless of whether they need it or not. The heat from the muffler causes them to get rock hard. And when that happens & they get dusty they squeak like crazy!!!!

      75137-98B is one of them and the other is 12700096A that I mention in the vid. I know!! The muffler rubbers are so annoying when there shrunken and squeaky. I've seen so many ways people try to shim them (from cut up mountain dew cans, washers jammed in there, mufflers rotated 45 degrees to bind up the rubber ect) to remove the squeaking. The only real answer is like you say, replace them.

      Harley Davidson Wizard yup. And for the $7-$8 it costs why skimp? Thanks for the info on the part numbers. I already have 75137-98B. Gotta get the other one now!!! Great, detailed vids. Keep em coming. Oh yea...that CVO is dirty especially since it never gets ridden!!! 8K miles in 4yrs...lol. 42K miles on my 18 Road Glide Special!!!

    Unrelated question. I bought a SS polished 12 point bolt set for mt 14 Ltd. What do recommend I use to prevent galling when I thread them in. Some say thread locker. Thanks

      Whenever I've used stainless steel hardware I've always used the same threadlocker that I would as if it were a conventional bolt. I would torque them to the low end of the torque spec because the stainless steel bolts have in the earlier yield torque to them than a conventional bolt. I don't know if that's a manufacturer type of a deal but I've always use stainless steel Hardware from Diamond Engineering. For anything that's a safety-related piece of hardware like pivot shaft cleve blocks, motor mounts Etc I would use their race proof stainless steel.
      But for all the normal 1/4-20, 5/16 stuff I would just use their normal stainless steel Hardware

      @@HarleyDavidsonWizard These came from Alloy Boltz. They are mostly cosmetic cover stuff and the largest is 5/16. Would you use blue or red threadlocker? Thanks.

    • @HarleyDavidsonWizard
      @HarleyDavidsonWizard  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would use blue. Red is only for really thick bolts that have a really coarse thread like the handle bar riser or rear wheel pulley bolts. I go through blue lock tight probable 30 to 1 red lock tight.
