    I'm INFP (Enneagram 4w5, 469) and my boyfriend is an ENFJ (Enneagram 2w3, 258) and this is the best relationship I've ever been in with someone. We love each other so much and he is so open whenever I need to talk about my feelings/emotions with him and vice versa. I think that our greatest challenge has been learning how to communicate our boundaries with each other. We fear hurting the other person by communicating our boundaries, but we acknowledge this and have made significant effort and progress in overcoming it... Anyways, this is such a fulfilling and wholesome relationship when both are healthy or committed to growing and maturing individually and together. ❤️

    I'm an INFP (4w5) married to an INFJ (9w8). My husband once said that I am both the most similar and yet the most different person from him. Getting to know cognitive functions has helped us understand where that feeling comes from 😂

    One of my best friends I made during my exchange abroad in Spain last year is an ENFJ I think, I'm an INFP :) We started hanging out 1 on 1 because we learned we both played guitar and wanted to jam together but we ended up talking for hours about our lives and countless topics and ideas, our energies really balance eachother out as we're both nerdy and caring people but she's very out there and theatrical and I'm more chill and to myself :P. this way I can get goofy around her and I feel like she can let down her extraverted feeling side, constantly attuning to and worrying about others and just nerd out with me through Ni. She takes me on exciting little adventures a lot too and I'm always down for it, I've done activities with her I would have never thought of doing myself.. Ah I miss her! We really bring out eachother's inner child. INFP-ENFJ works very well wether it be deep friendships or relationships I think :) It can be rather intense and whimsical at times though., but I'm very grateful I made a friend for life

      Everyone loves INFPs, the question is whether we have no problem with ENFJ (E in generals, but I think ENFJ is the closest extraverted we could accept 😊)

    • @catharinamariatheresia1626
      @catharinamariatheresia1626 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@amoldivo Yeah, because we are extroverted introverts. Deep down we are introverts but we can’t help it that our tentacles are always outwards, wanting to love other humans. We can’t help it 😹🐈 But my besties are definitely INFP! But they always let me lead because they can be a little bit dreamy and forget to plan. One of my INFP friends came for a sleepover. After ten days I asked… “Well, it’s okay if you sleepover for one night but ehh, let me know if you want to move in okay?” 🤣

    • @amoldivo
      @amoldivo 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@catharinamariatheresia1626 yep, I mean, who don't like the cute INFPs, I mean there are people who despise cute people because maybe they think we're cringe or something, which is totally understandable, but let's skip that...
      I feel like I'm really cute and childlike, but it just doesn't complement the side I normally show to the outside world, which is very cold, reserved, (slightly) strict?, and mature...
      Personally I can control when I need to submerge into the "dream world", or when I need to do my work lol, but yes I do procrastinate, and the reason for that is to rest and find "inspiration" 🤡🤣
      And I can totally get it when given the circumference to sleepover at a friend's house and in the end stayed more than a few days 🤣 (I don't think it's occured to me before? Maybe it has? Dunno, can't remember 🤣) but it's definitely happened when I travel and like ahh, I guess there's nothing bad to stay for another day 🤧 I'll just call in "on leave" for another day 🤣😆 problems tomorrow is for tomorrow!! Today, just have fun!! 🤣😆😋

    I took a test determining what is compatible to me being an INFP.I took the test twice..First I got ENFJ and the second I got INFP.
    Based on research done by Tieger, NF can go with NF and FP can go with FP..Additionally, SFJ can go with NFP.

    Glad to know that you have harmonious marriage with an ENFJ. It is something very interesting, since theoretically, ENFJ and INFP intertype relationship dynamics are called Extinguishment in Socionics.
    After all, theories are just theories... And let me share something after brainstorming with another typology enthusiast.
    1. Any types can enjoy a good and harmonius relationship as long as both persons are healthy emotionally, having healthy sense of self and self love.
    2. Harmonius relationships are two way traffics involving both party, giving and taking.
    3. Use typology and intertype dynamics as a guidance to solve the part that potentially sparks the conflicts between two persons.
    😊😊😊
    BTW, the video thumbnail is really surprising. It seems like a date in a coffee house with a modern day Royal Princess from Europe.

    • @GeekPsychology
      @GeekPsychology  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Those are all good points.
      If someone isn't "healthy" then it's quite difficult to have a good relationship with them-- no matter what their type is. Bring another person into that mix and it's chaos.
      I tried many thumbnails, this seemed the most uh... likely to convey the message.

  • @infp45
    @infp45 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    To everyone who thinks that it would be easier with a different personality type, every combination of personality types can make an amazing marriage. I believe that every couple has to work on similar issues. The only thing that might be different is the consequences of not working on them. With some types, it might be more devastating and harmful, but not working on these issues can be harmful and devastating in any relationship, no matter how well-matched personality types you consider them to be.

    • @GeekPsychology
      @GeekPsychology  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I dated an ENFJ last summer. He was so sweet and romantic but left me heartbroken. It felt like a fantasy around him, as if I was floating. He didn’t want to do medium distance when I moved an hour away for school. Then in grad school I met another ENFJ but he was a player and I stopped the flirting because I didn’t want to be just another hookup to him. I realized that he loved the attention and making all the girls feel special. Despite these not so great experiences, a part of me would still want to end up with a healthy ENFJ man (or even INFJ) one day.

      I am an ENFJ and I dated an INFP last year and it also felt like a fantasy (he described it as a dream). Our relationship imploded spectacularly mostly due to outside influences that put too much pressure on us, and then he ghosted me 😭😭😭 but like you despite the bad ending I would definitely still date a healthy INFP again in the future 😊 I got a glimpse of how amazing it could be

    Should I really consider to go deeper and confess it to you her or I should stop it asap?

      Please, go for it ! You will never know until you try.
      Don't limit yourself because of MBTI or because of her extroverted side vs your introverted one.
      The ENFJ-INFP dynamic can be one of the most fulfilling one if you are both healthy people whose values align and if you do your best to make it work.
      From my own experience no other type comes close to ENFJs for us (or maybe INxJs lol)
      For me it was intense, passionate, emotional, magical.
      Everyone is different, so my personnal opinion and experience might not be what suits every INFP.
      But to know if it works for you, you would need to experience it 😉
