    Confidence is the word for me today. As an 12 year old boy who does yoga instead of working out roller skates instead of skate boarding, and sewing instead of playing football or something. I get really insecure with my decisions and what I do so, today I'm going to try to be Confident in my thoughts and activities and not let anyone bring me down❤️ Thanks Kassandra🥰

      Ohio it takes courage & strength to be true to yourself & not conform to the expectations of others. Some people are never able to do that, so the fact that you have the wisdom & insight to know yourself & be brave enough to pursue your own path is a testament to your courage. Life may not always be easy, but never lose sight of who you are. I wish you well ❤️

    I'm 70 years old and thru the last 7 years you and yoga have changed my body and mind. When I don't do it every day within 2 days I can really feel the aches and pains reestablishing in my muscles and movements. You are the most favorite of the few yogas teachers I go to-very good movement flows and challenges that strengthen and tonesof my body. Thank you for being and doing for all of us. Colleen

      I had covid as well, if you're a healthy person you won't have any long-term effects. For me the lingering effects lasted about 2 weeks, with some uncomfortable chest pain lasting about 2 months, now I'm back to 100%. I can say that kassandra did help me through the worst of covid19, she has a few routines for when you're feeling sick.

      @@bradfordjhart thank you🙏🏼 it was scary at first. The unknown is the worse feeling ever. I am feeling soooo much better. I really appreciate you reaching out. It’s nice to know that others have contracted this virus and survive it. Let’s stay healthy!

    • @Mel-rt3hb
      @Mel-rt3hb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I am in the very same situation. Had it beginning of January. It was ok, but the fear about long term effects.. well yeah, that fear is still psychologically straining. I think though that it is mostly the whole situation of isolation and the fuss about the virus that makes people (inclduing me) so worried. Lets focus on the positive things (= and take care of ourselves.

I *do* appreciate that you explain certain ways of moving that I need to pay attention to - those ways that can be hard to convey, like “pull your armpits toward the floor” but make a huge difference in correct posing.

    • @yogawithkassandra
      @yogawithkassandra  4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I have carpet in my studio and it's wayyyyyy harder to balance! My best tips are to make sure to spot your focus on something in front of you that's not moving and try not to grip your toes in the floor. It's tough but I've noticed that since practicing on carpet for the past 3 months I can balance so easily on hardwood floors, so it does help us build strength and balance over time :)

    • @brendalongacre487
      @brendalongacre487 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also practice on carpet, I always have. My trick (besides having a wall conveniently close by to grab when I topple) is to engage the core. Kassandra has talked about pulling that tailbone down, spine and head up, pulling the floating ribs and hip bones together (imagine folding them in like a book). Suddenly I'm locked in place!
      I know it's all weird sounding, but all that core engagement and awareness really really makes a difference in my balance.

    Going off what you mentioned about nourishment, my word of the day is “nourish”. I want to really take care of myself, mentally and physically, today and morning yoga is a great way to start, thx Kassandra!🧡

    Moved on to this after months of doing 10 minute morning yoga. Feel stronger and more flexible. I am a convert to a little every day is better than a longer class once a week and love Kassandra as a yoga teacher.

    My word today is "steady," because work chaos happens every day. Loved that thread the needle balance!

    Glide is the word of the day for me. I really like how this practice doesn't have any forward folds but still gets a little sweat going. Folds are tough on my back.

    Whew! That was a tough one, but it felt good! My word for the day is Strength. Thanks Kassandra! 😊 I've been using your channel for my yoga practices for a couple years now. Although, I haven't been as serious before as I am now about my practice. I have always loved your channel and tell as many people as I can! ❤

    Its been a years I am doing 10 mins yoga by you dear. It feels so amazing the way you elaborate every movement. How calm and soothing it feels just little bit yoga for shorter time.
    My word today is 'concentrate' as i get distracted so much and not able to pull most out of the day. 😁

    My word for today is "Gather". To gather my energy, focus, and thoughts today.😌 I loved this class, it ticked all the boxes for my essential morning stretches: twists to release my shoulders and spine, hip openers, hamstring stretches, and a bit of strength to wake me up!😃 I think some neck stretches would be awesome for future classes.😊Thanks Kassandra! You have some of the best morning classes I've found!💙

    Yes! thanks for the thread the needle tip with leaning hip a bit over to the right. you always find this perfect balance between educating and providing alternatives in a concise way that doesn't bring me out of my focus.

    Thank you for the morning yoga videos. I have piriformis syndrome and I have been doing your videos now for several weeks. I'm still sore and still can't bend over all the way but each day is an improvement.
