      Hi
Would you wear a shirt tucked if you combinate with a leather Jacket that have a folding collar?
      Greetings

In this video you are wearing a woven, collared, button-up, denim-coloured shirt in a soft weave, unfortunately, the neck size of the shirt looks too tight for your neck circumference. Perhaps it's moved towards the back as you have been using your arms or it is otherwise just a little bit too tight. Video content is great, just noticed this as you continued to speak.

Thank you Antonio, for another great video.
You presented how to wear a shirt tucked or untucked in a such good way.
But, for me the main idea is: the shirt has to fit.
And also, the rules you presented are very easy to follow.
    Thank you.

Obviously the question would be about woven shirts with tails, not about t-shirts, polos, henley, etc, all of which can always be worn untucked if they are appropriately scaled. We have to go all the way to 7:30 to get to the point.

good point! as in "another meeting that could've been an email" he really stretches time beyond my tolerance. so it gets a dislike and to not be recommended anymore.
i also needed to roll my eyes, when he starts with a simple t-shirt as the top layer. i mean ... cmon guy!

I occasionally wear my dress shirts untucked regardless of how long they are.
It’s a style which lots of especially younger guys sport and find nothing wrong or out of place by it.

Over the years I've learned to combine my goth roots to my business attire and wear it all the time now. I always wear full black with a blazer and my shirt un-tucked (I never wear dress shirts). I only close the third button from the top of my shirt and keep the rest open (gangster style). When my blazer's closed (top button only), it appears as if my shirt is buttoned up too (even though only the third button from the top is closed). Under it I always wear a black t-shirt in french-tuck, showing my awesome belt buckle.
Waist down I wear pitch black jeans, that almost look like chinos, with New Rock platform ankle boots. To finish the look, I wear some goth style titanium wrist and neck pieces with multiple rings. Oh and I usually wear sunglasses due to the low melanin in my gray eyes and sometimes a black leather top hat (with my long hair I'm often compared to Slash and frequently get asked if I'm an artist or in a band). I'm about 5.10 but the shoes and top hat combined make me look closer to 6.3 haha

When I’m out just for buying stuff or meet up with friends, I’d like to wear my button down white collar shirt untucked with a pair of blue/navy suit pants and a pair of plane white sneakers. Coz it’s hot in summer, I usually roll up my sleeves too.

Funny thing is that dress shirts (typically called formal shirts here) in India typically have an absolutely straight hem. They match all other characteristics of a dress shirt you describe, but I've only rarely seen a formal shirt with tails here.

I've started tailoring my clothes . I'm in the clothing acquisition phase right now. I found stylish d on TH-cam. He shows simple beginner ways to tailor your clothes. I'm 5ft 8 and can bench 400. I gotta buy 2x shirts just to fit my arms and chest and have to take them in stomach and shorten the length and sleeves. Quads are 27 and arms 18.5 I'm not shredded either . But I will always tailor my shirts from now on. Even t shirts. Just alittle bit to accentuate my strong points to overshadow my midsection. I work travel construction and half my clothes were dress up lol even had a drawer in motel for my hats . U get off work looking like u been in a coal mine feels good to put on a white linen guayabera and linen slacks 2 tone shoes mirror shine Panama fedora and Versace sunglasses.

I think another exception is wearing a sports shirt or dress shirt that is made to be worn untucked. I think in that case it’s ok to wear it with a sports jacket as it doesn’t go past the end of the sports jacket.

With band collar shirts, it depends. In India and Pakistan, the shirt is meant to be worn with matching casual pants, almost like PJ bottoms. In this case, the shirt is meant to be worn untucked.

@@adrianasilitonga7335 hi there! it's the formal attire here in the Philippines especially during Spanish Colonization era. Today, as far as I know, it is the National Dress of the Philippines as well as Baro't Saya. Barong is now often used in weddings or in very formal occasions. You'd see President Duterte wearing one. It is an embroidered long-sleeved shirt. Traditionally, they would use pineapple fiber or Abaka to create Barong. But today, they'd use cheaper materials such as silk, ramie or polyster.
Hope I answered your question. 😊

I do think that based on your personal height shirts can look as well fit different on your body. Based on the length of the shirt it may look good untucked on a taller person. But on a average height or below average height person it can just look sloppy. So many shirts do not seem to be properly tailored to fit people of different height properly. For that it seem you would have to get the shirt tailored a bit in length so as not to go way below your mid section or below your crotch.

Thanks for the info. My problem is being short and stocky (5'9", 185 lbs) wearing a size XL shirt. I've read that the best length was for the front "tail" to be half way up the pants zipper. The problem I have with that is that every shirt I buy the front tail hangs down to the bottom of the zipper making the "look" sloppy. Any suggestions? (Buying an "Untuckit" shirt is totally out of the question ).

My problem is that when I wear a formal shirt I struggle because I'm 6' 7" so I struggle to find a shirt that is long enough for me to actually tuck it in, usually there's simply not enough material so I have no option but to look sloppy, and "tall" shirts really don't feel like they add much length at all. Would getting a custom made shirt be a good idea if it will be my go to shirt for formal occasions?

I sort of take exception to the claim that long dress shirts should always be tucked in or they look sloppy. When I look on some fashion websites , they feature lots of young guys wearing dress shirts untucked also fully buttoned up without a tie on.
I adopt that look / style a lot and think it looks cool and trendy especially worn by younger guys.
