    Love love LOVE the SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore!!! 🥰 I’ve been using it since it was released. I also like these in the winter: Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, & Dieux Instant Angel (Lipid Rich Moisturizer). I also use Stratia Liquid Gold as a serum under my tretinoin. Great video, Dr. Liu! 😊

    For a velvety, satiny feel without heaviness, I highly recommend Olay Night Recovery Cream! It feels so luxurious and soothing going on, so much so that i look forward to bedtime so that I can use it! 😂 I’ve never had a moisturizer I enjoyed so much as this one. I keep going back to it after straying a few times on other brands, including the very popular Elf Holy Hydration Fragrance Free Cream.
    The Olay looks very much like the texture of the Tatcha cream she shows here, but is a LOT less expensive at $30 for 1.7 oz.

    This is very helpful and I hadn't heard of a couple of these. At 58, I'm still somewhat oily and prone to milia but I live in the Midwest and it can get cold here in the winter. Finding the right moisturizer is never easy. I regularly see a board certified cosmetic surgeon for peels and IPL throughout the year which have helped greatly after years of sun damage. I wouldn't dream of going a day without my SPF under makeup and I wear a broad brimmed hat in the summer months. I've learned so much from channels like yours! Thank you.

    Love the tacha indigo cream. I have had a tough time with retinization, especially in the winter and was gifted that cream for Christmas. Retinization cleared up and I can use my tret everyday now with no irritation because of the indigo cream. Such a lovely cream and I think I will repurchase especially for winters.

    Dr Liu, for the SkinCeuticals and any other moisturizers that have dimethicone in it, will this present a problem if I am applying moisturizer to my face, first, followed by tretinoin? I’ve read that they can make the tretinoin pill. I know that having silicone and products that go under other products, has made products that go on top, pill on me in the past I’m holding off on starting with tretinoin now and until I can get an answer on this. I could avoid this issue all together by just applying the tretinoin first, but I want to be cautious and apply moisturizer first in the beginning. Sure hope to hear back from you.

    I was a sucker and ended up buying the Indigo overnight repair. It’s fragrance free so I thought I’d be fine.
    Immediately after applying it my skin stung and the next morning I woke up and my entire neck was swollen. It looked like there had been a wire around my neck. Soooooo needless to say, I’m not a fan of Tatcha.

    Hey I’m just wondering why you think the skinfix barrier+ gel cream moisturizer is making my face red and somewhat irritated? When I touch my face it feels smoother, but not necessarily moisturized even when using a good amount. I think this is super strange because before this I was usuing the tatcha water cream, I have sensitive skin and it did nothing wrong to me despite having fragrance and alcohol. Plzzz helpppp. Retinol never bothered me other but for some reason this moisturizer really is not comfortable tn

    Hey Dr.Jenny☺ you've recommended the cetaphil salicylic acid cleanser in one of your previous videos(the creamy one) do you think that cleanser would be good at removing oils from the skin, I usually wake up with oil on my face and was wondering if that cleanser would be good. Also is it ok to use a salicylic acid cleanser and then follow up with benzoyl peroxide leave on gel ?

    Dr. Liu, please help! I’m 64. In the last couple years, my face has developed quite a sensitivity to sunscreens, even mineral ones! I’ve tried over 2 doz brands, mostly mineral, and just can’t seem to land on one that doesn’t irritate my skin. I thought Banana Boat Baby 100% Mineral, Tear-Free, Reef Friendly, Broad Spectrum Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 50 would be perfect and super gentle for me. But I was wrong. It causes my face to sting!
    Could you please tell me which of these active ingredients in the Banana Boat would be the likely cause of my skin burning? If I knew what to watch for ingredient wise, I could avoid them in the sunscreens I buy. Thank you!
    Active Ingredients:Titanium Dioxide 4.5%, Zinc Oxide 6.5%Inactive Ingredients:Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isohexadecane, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Octyldodecyl Citrate Crosspolymer, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Lauryl PEG-8 Dimethicone, C30-38 Olefin/Isopropyl Maleate/MA Copolymer, Sodium Chloride, Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-8, Alumina, Glycerin, Sodium Citrate, Tocopheryl Acetate

      You may have allergic contact dermatitis that could develop overtime. I can’t tell you what you should use and avoid this is best determined through patch testing by a dermatologist.

    I rarely splurge on skincare, but got the skinfix on sale for a very good price. I started to use it regularly and I started to get lots of spots, and I don't suffer from acne. Ideas of what could have caused this?

    • @specialtwice4975
      @specialtwice4975 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure of the technicalities, (I'm not a doctor like Jenny) but I think some people just have reactions to whatever they put into the moisturizer. It has happened to me with Clinique yellow lotion. I would get rashes whenever I used it.
      Now I just avoid clinques lotion all together and use tatcha instead.
      Everyone is different, some lotions work for people, some don't.
      I reccomend you getting a new moisturizer if it is still irritating.

    • @db-gb5xi

      Just because it’s a “good moisturizer “ doesn’t mean it will work well for you. Like fashion, a dress that looks elegant won’t suit all body type . Most important as find a moisturizer that works well for you

    • @specialtwice4975
      @specialtwice4975 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use it/like it. Great for dry skin people. I put it on, one and done, and don't have to reapply till the next day!
      However, everyone is different and will react differently to things.
      I've heard it has tar and gold flakes in it (to get the purple color) so that may irritate skin for some people.
      I reccomend trying their mini sample kit first. I think it comes with a mini face wash too.

For the skincueticals one, they've recommended cerave skin renewing night cream or cerave moisturizing cream.

      Try Gold Bond Brightening or retinol crème in a tube. It’s for the body but can be used for face. I think its an amazing moisturizer. The brand has several other moisturizers in the line and I’m sure they are equally excellent. I don’t have a beer budget. I use Skinceuticals so my recommendation comes from the stand point of someone who uses the best. IMO Gold Bond is among the best.
