    When you buy a luxury skincare product, you’re buying into the idea of luxury. Fragrance is apart of this, as most consumers makes connections between luxury and experience

    • @joannej_Youtube
      @joannej_Youtube 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      This is so true! I wasn't even able to use fragrance in a cleanser or makeup a few years ago, but now I can tolerate it in some products, as long as it's good quality and not too intense. I've even come to enjoy it, lol. Tatcha is a great example of a luxury brand that checks all the boxes, from packaging to user experience to results.

    • @emel4915
      @emel4915 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I've been an avid Tatcha user for the past 3 years and I can definitely agree that it's pricey, but so very worth it. My essence bottle actually lasted me a whole year of use and that to me makes the price a little more worth it since it lasts a very long time. I've used all of the moisturizers, but I have to say, my favorites are the dewy skin cream and the silk cream. The silk cream, in my opinion, is the star of the line up of moisturizers they have. I'm sensitive to fragrance, but none of the Tatcha moisturizers have given me any sort of reaction or flared my seborrheic dermatitis along my hairline. I also tried the first aid beauty repair cream and it burned my face, which was definitely alarming. But if I were to recommend anything from the brand, it would definitely be the kissu lip mask, the silk cream and violet-c radiance mask because they consistently repair my dead dry skin every week I use it lol.

      2oz for $65 isn't expensive to u? That's way too expensive it's $32.50 per ounce that's crazy and that's an exfoliant... I got recommended The indigo cream which is 1.7oz at a whopping $85 ... While I never tried Tatcha but heard only gud things from 2 TH-camrs idk if it's worth that price and I just might ask my sister if it's worth the hype/ price since she uses it... But from price perspective idk if the ingredients justify the price but only way of knowing is by trying it I guess ... If it's u get what u pay for then maybe

A good serum is the ordinary or the inkey list niacinimide serum. A good moisturizer would be first aid beauty coco gel moisturizer or the inkey list peptide moisturizer. A good sunscreen would either be the dear klairs soft UV filter sunscreen or the Purito centella unscented sunscreen. The Paulas Choice salicylic acid 2% exfoliant is good for acne prone skin. If your skin isn’t sensitive the the ordinary 20% aha 2% bha peeling solution might be good for you. If your skin is sensitive, then a good mask would be Peter Thomas Roth cucumber gel mask or herbivore blue tansy mask. Hopefully this helps you!

    I tried Tatcha for the first time two years ago and I’ve never looked back. I’m obsessed. Especially with the water cream. It’s amazing for my oily skin 😍 it absorbs so well. I’m concerned on the people you’re talking to 😂 water based moisturizers are meant for people with oily skin so if you don’t have oily skin then you probably shouldn’t use it.

    I completely agree with all of your reviews of Tatcha. A lot of the products have too much fragrance that I am sensitive to.
    However, I LOVE the cleansing oil and the gentle rice scrub. I even got my daughter to switch to these items from a brand she thought was great. I will try the indigo scrub next because of your review.
    I seldom purchase Tatcha through a big box store. I usually wait for a sale on their website or QVC where I can get two scrubs for the price of one.
    I was glad to see that you recommended the omega cream by biossance. I use that as needed instead of a scented cream.
    I find the essence was way too much $. I use Neogen essence instead and got better results.
    BTW I am 70 yrs old with super dry skin and I am taken for twenty years youger quite often. My daughter lives in a very dry climate and loves these products too.

    The ingredients are amazing and my skin really loves it. Yes they are expensive but the essence has lasted me a year. The rice polish, using it a few times a week has lasted me over a year and I still have about half left. The indigo cream is the only thing I can use during the winter. I actually love the water cream for summer. And the dewy skin cream is my favorite. Every time I switch to something else I notice a difference in my skin right away. With that said I think the luminous deep hydration serum has alcohol in it and it’s high on the list, which is odd since it would do the opposite of hydration. The vitamin c was great too but with the aha in it it was too strong for me. Camellia cleansing oil is still the best oil cleanser Ive ever used but it is pricey.

    i really love Hyram but I just watched James Welsh's video where he just learned that we as consumer can't always just judge the product from the ingredients.. I mean yes ingredients are important,, but the formulation is what will determined the greatness of the product.. For example like alcohol, if we were to put a simple alcohol on our face of course it would burn & dry it out,, but in skincare it could be used as penetrator & also stabiliser.. i highly recommend checking out James's recent video!

But with how spendy Tatcha is, I'm probably gonna try Hyram's dupes next. Also, if you have super dry skin like me, I really recommend at least trying the mini version of the Dewy Skin Cream. I hv extremely sensitive, dry skin along with occasional eczema. The water cream cleared up all of my irritation and dry flaky skin. The hydration is perfect because when applied it is quite watery and it seeps into my skin. I'm sorry you didn't hv a good experience, but for me the moisturizer is quite hydrating and doesn't just sit on my skin like you mentioned it did for you :/ In my opinion it is worth the price point. I should try the Indigo Cream though!!

      Agreed! I also have dry skin and to me the cream feels so silky and my skin just drinks it up. Its perfect for my skincare routine. I know Hyram has oily skin so that might be a factor here.

      Yes this is also my experienced w the water cream. Its a perfect formula for hot humid weather country where the cream burst into water and my skin just drink it str8 away without stickiness etc and i can see drastic improvement on my skin such as brightness,supplecity, and i just Dont get it with people who demonized fragranced skincare like please its 2020. It is not everyone skin is same get easily irritate by fragranced especially when its in low amount within the formula. Ouhh I also have rovectin lotus water cream but for me tatcha water cream is the winner. The only down side its pricey.

    I love tatcha. I'm lucky that I work in a store that sells tatcha, so I get a discount. Unfortunately I'm allergic to gold and lots of their products do have gold in them.
    Thankfully the products I love do not contain it. My faves are the cleansing oil, the rice polishes, the kissu mask, and the indigo cream. Thankfully they are all gold free and don't make my skin upset.

      The indigo cream is very underrated, but I think it’s one of their best products!

    YESSS! When my skin freaked out after introducing retinol, the indigo cream SAVED my skin. My skin was red, itchy, and dry. It felt like a sunburn at all times. Most products burned if I applied them. The indigo cream fixed everything and restored my skin. Worth every penny.
