my first time in a full time, as a class assistant, i HAVE TO multitask in the class at that moment. What kids are doing, what kids are NOT doing, keeping the kids at bay and help them keep up with the class pace, do instant orders from the teacher and prompting kids the right way at the same time. I'm dying inside because it's so hard
I’m a content creator, who didn’t grow up with ADHD, it came on later in life & only recently learned that’s what my issues are these past years!! I’m struggling with my content SO much cause I get too OCD with it, try to make it too perfect, research too deep even when I’m trying to make a video about just 1 particular part of a subject… then I end up spending way too many WEEKS on it sometimes, then think “oh, nobody even cares about this subject anymore…scrap”. Other times my research ends up branching off into other things, often things that have nothing to do with what I’m creating …yeah great, now I understand the difference between watts, amps & volts more deeply than I care to know, another 2-3hrs lost, great!! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I also got a bad habit of actively working on too many videos at once too & none end up getting completed… I barely sleep cause I’m up all day till 1-2am minimum working on content that rarely gets finished & doing housework I couldn’t do during the day but still nothing gets finished, not even my house chores. My head spins cause I don’t know where my time goes!!!! I work SO hard but feel like I achieve nothing!!! For someone who didn’t grow up with it, it actually scares me & I’m so confused & frustrated!! 😓😓
If you didn't grow up with ADHD, you don't have ADHD. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder, and symptoms presenting themselves before the age of 12 is required for a diagnosis.
@@stevesteves945 …Apparently not true anymore. In the past few weeks, I saw my GP who’s got extensive qualifications in mental health among many other things (the guy never stops doing courses😂) & he said it used to be believed that adults didn’t get ADHD, they also once believed in the early days that all kids grew out of it too, but they now know it’s rarer, but it can start in adults too & something that can cause it is being on certain antipsychotics & some SSRI’s long term. I was on the maximum daily dose of a very strong antipsychotic that had a tranquiliser in it (different from sedative) for over 8yrs even though I’m an undersized female. I took myself off it years ago when after being on it so long, I started to feel like it was maybe negatively effecting me when I started feeling my mental health & rage slipping backwards (apparently common after long term use cause they’re not really designed for life-long use, at least not the one I was on anyway). He told me those medications are now known to sometimes cause ADHD in adults if used long term in high doses. It’s because ADHD is has to do with dopamine as you’d know & strong antipsychotics & SSRI’s alter the brains chemicals & target dopamine levels & serotonin levels in a drastic way. I was completely numb the 8yrs I was on the antipsychotic. I didn’t get intense rage ect anymore but I never really felt “happy” either, which I didn’t really notice fully till I was off it a while cause I wasn’t happy when I got out on it to begin with so didn’t really have much to compare it to. He said for most people, it takes at least a year for the brains chemicals to balance & work on their own again after stopping. It was about 1.5yrs after that when I guess these symptoms started. He picked up on all this, I didn’t know any of this stuff. He did that assessment test thing (the paper where you tick boxes) & then sent me to a Psychiatrist who specialises in ADHD. My partner has ADHD & was diagnosed by the same Psychiatrist (although he definitely did have ADHD as a child too, his parents just didn’t take him to a Dr back then). The Psychiatrist needs to see me again before he’ll make a definite determination (he likes to see people at least 2-3 times 1st, he’s very thorough which is what I need) but he said it sounds very much like ADHD & when I asked him about what my Dr said, he validated everything & took notes on the medication I was on, dose & time frame ect. He said they know a lot more about ADHD in more recent years than they did when we were kids. He said it was once long believed to only be a child disorder period & even once believed all kids grew out of it but they understand more now & know it can begin in adulthood in some people too for various reasons but he thinks mine is likely due to the antipsychotic I was on in far too high a dose for far too long. I’m thinking he’ll probably explain that to me more at our next appointment, as that was brought up at the end & I have some more questions now I couldn’t think of at our 1st meeting too but I guess it’s like anything really & as time goes on, medical knowledge advances, more studies get done, medications get created & tested long term & so on. Considering only 20yrs ago we hadn’t even properly diagnosed & named common things like anxiety even though it obviously existed, it doesn’t surprise me, especially with anything to do with mental health. 💜💜
@@stevesteves945 Hate to break it to you, but I’ll trust the Doctor & Psychiatrist 😂😂… With all so respect, why are you being rude & taking what my medical professional told me personally, thinking you know more than them when you literally don’t know me & aren’t qualified to do so?? Someone else having ADHD, doesn’t take away from yours. I’m literally someone struggling, seeking help, putting my trust in medical professionals & you’re literally throwing it in my face?? You should really consider others!! There could be others struggling reading your comments. It’s pretty arrogant to insinuate you know more than trained professionals based on a comment. That’s my untrained opinion anyway 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
@@KIP_KnowledgeIsPower You are distrusting just about every single psychiatrist besides your own. It has long been established that as a neurodevelopmental disorder, you **cannot** just acquire it later in life. It's a _developmental_ disorder. It appears that every psychiatrist on this planet understands this besides your own. Did they graduate from clown college or something?
Thanks for clarifying, I love to listen to something while I do daily housekeeping.

Unfortunately there is a limit of 500 on safari/iPhone😅 But then there is “private” also, where I will put the even more “critical” stuff…
