I must be the only one this strategy doesn't work for. His mechanics work completely different than what I'm watch in your video. He is unrelenting and will not give me the distance to aim and shoot before he is on top of me again, regardless if I run straight away.
Thaaaaaank you so much ! The P1 is really easy to cheese with poison, even more with storyteller's staff poison but I tried so many time to beat his P2 in close fight and I was killed in just 1 of his combo. I tried your bow way even without reroll my stats with powerful dex, just with a +10 shortbow and I managed the P2 at my first try 😂 it was long but not even close. Thx you so much because it was my last boss in DS3, now I can sleep well
I could not do it. I don't know what the fart is wrong with me, but no matter how hard I tried, he just kept getting super close to me before I could get a shot off.
Ok, so I'm actually trying this and it's not working nearly as well for me as it is for you. King of Storms moves much faster than I thought it would, makes it near impossible to get enough distance
Yeah, cause they literally just removed any real downtime between combos and gave him the ability to transition into any combo. People figured him out so FromSoft had to protect their legacy of "difficult games" and broke him
I got him down to a sliver of health and ran out of estus. There’s a glitch when if you look away with your shield on your back form the lightning it will never hit you. But my dex is too low and I went through 150 arrows still didn’t kill him
Yeah idk my dex is pretty high on my build and im not doing the same damage with the same equip and its def not as easy with the bow on phase one. I've yet to beat phase one like that i have no idea how he is getting so much distance between just in general and also not being too far to attack. He's on top of me for most of the fight.
Thank yoy i got him like 3 hits away but i had like a sliver of health one uit im dead whipped out ny bow and finished him off with like 10 arrows thank god took me 4 trys
This works a treat on NG as that is exactly how I killed him. Trying this on NG++ though forget it. I tried it and it just doesn't take off enough health. Also the attacks in the second phase are insane and you don't get any chance to aim.
@@mrpositronia I think it only works on NG. It definitely worked for me then but NG++ & NG+++ are a different matter as his attacks are far more aggressive. I agree that it doesn't work after NG. Your best bet is to summon someone to help in NG+++ if you are online.

This sucks cause I really enjoy NK and think he’s a fun fight, I just wish I could get through KOTS without dying to bullshit. Anyways thanks for the strat, I used it to get past KOTS easily and then was able to fight NK on fair ground.
Thank you! Bow still works during second phase as 2024.. I got quite nervous but as long as your keeping distance you are good. The waves doesn't do much damage. Just dont get greedy with arrows..
Thank you so so much. Been stuck for so long. Remembered I had seen this guide and watched again. Went and got the bow and upgraded it to max. And within 5 tries I did it.
Yeah it’s a cool set! It’s the Alva Armor set. You need to be invaded by and defeat Alva near the beginning of Irithyl Dungeon (before you defeat Yhorm). Then you pick up the set on a body near Karla’s cell. It’s the area of Irithyll Dungeon with all the life draining mobs and the multiple jail cells.
@@McRaptor daaaaamn why does it have to be sooo specific and weird. I mean i get the fact you need to do certain things to unlock certain gear or npcs but seriously OwO how do i get raided by Alva? Do i need to wait till i get randomly raided by her?
You know what I absolutly hate? If NOTHING happens in the match like in youtubers video shown. In face one he doesn't even let me get distance between me and the dragon. Impossible to shoot him with the bow. The dragon constantly is chasing me in the air and after he lands and I try to get away, the same thing. He starts to fly after me.
There's nothing easy or cheese about this. I have a +10 long bow and it takes forever to get his energy down. Cant get past his first phase with a bow. He flies right beside you and kills you.
If you are really struggling yet, go to Rosaria, Respec your stats to maximize your Dex and Vigor (so, doing more damage and being able to receive more damage) and then you just Respec again after the fight to your normal build. You can do the respect only 5 times per NG, so, be careful if you already did it.
@@MaioliRHCP This is an old comment but for those reading it now, you can glitch the respec system by force quitting (Alt-F4 or force quit app on console) out of your game after clicking to accept the respec but while the respec menu is still up, you only have like 2-3 seconds to do it, but if you time it right you'll have the new specs in your save game but not have actually used the Pale Tongue or the respec, so you can just respec infinite times. That way you can respec for each boss fight if you want to target their weaknesses.
Thank you SO much for this strategy. I found King of the Storm to be the more difficult part, and when I got to him, it still took me two tries. Once I figured out the dimensions of the arena, I knew when I would have to change direction. I also had to keep reminding myself not to get reedy, and not to spam attack; never more than 3 arrows at a clip, and only 3 when he was FAR.
Great strategy video but a couple things you left out: why are your arrows doing so much damage? I did this same strategy and i was running for a damn long time spending all my arrows because they did nowhere near the damage yours does. Care to fill us all in on why that is? What's that red mist around your character? Is THAT why your arrows do so much damage?
For everyone who could do that my advice for you is to not even think about doing that, which is actually dumb action to do, you will just ruin a great boss and waste a great experience with the nameless king so just try harder and get good.
Thanks for the strategy! One thing I'd disagree though is that I don't think this is a cheese. After all, it's only natural to keep a distance from the enemy if you're using a bow. You're awesome! Subscribed! Bell'd!
Yea, so… Boss is faster than me, doesn’t let me escape, hits me while on the ground and during recuperating frames. I gotten further with the Great Machete. This didn’t help at all. He’s not doing the same movement, just keeps getting closer.
Either it's been patched or this is like a 1 in 50 run where the AI was very kind. O don't know how this shit works but not one of my fights has even come close to how passive the fight it.
Great vid, thanks. Hilarious to see on reddit on mention of this cheese on first search. I did start experimenting with a bow but he closed the distance a few times. Just have to be a bit more committed.

Trying it exactly as you are with composite bow +10 and feather arrows and he just spins after my first run and 1 shots me every time, I’ve only got Midir, soul of cinder and slave knight Gael left after this prick and none of the others gave me this much grief! Edit..Changed my thumbs down to a thumbs up, just couldn’t beat wyvern with arrows so fucked him up with my Claymore +10 with lightning buff then used your arrow strategy for the king and it worked wonders, beat him on my 5th try, just was that giant turkey that gave me the grief with the camera positioning. Thanks, I’m a happy chap now.
My first ever attempt in the second phase I got him down to half health no problem. Phase 2 is no issue for me. PHASE 1 however is the most god awful fight I have ever seen. How did you get the dragon to basically stay still? That's wild man. He never does that for me. Just flies around while Nameless King kills me over and over.
I finally did it thanks to you , it took me a few tries cus the nameless king would rush me and i couldnt dodge his ranged attacks but i finally made it
I wouldn't say I cheesed him, but you can do a very similar thing in the Nameless King part of the fight using Dohrys Gnawing miracle. But I'm not good at keeping the right distances so ended up finishing half his health using melee weapon anyway
Bow is the most powerful weapon in the series. Every time, you find an unbeatable boss. You can always use a bow to kite it, but I never thought that you actually can kite this boss at that distance.

I must be the only one this strategy doesn't work for. His mechanics work completely different than what I'm watch in your video. He is unrelenting and will not give me the distance to aim and shoot before he is on top of me again, regardless if I run straight away.
Same, he's way less aggressive on this video. When I fight him he's up my ass 24/7
Probably didn't update his game. Sekiro was notorious for people getting the disc version and not updating it just because it was so tough.
Thank youuuuuuu! Now I don't need to dodge till my hands hurt, just need a little patience and a bow! This works really well.
This doesn't work anymore, FYI. He charges at you now.
Ok, so I'm actually trying this and it's not working nearly as well for me as it is for you. King of Storms moves much faster than I thought it would, makes it near impossible to get enough distance
git gud
have you considered leveling dex up and using the equip he mentioned?
@@fakhrulzainal5384 “git gud” you are so cringe bruh
maybe get the dragon with a sword first and than use the bow In the second phase
Once phase 2 begins just run as far as you can cuz once he gets close there will be no time to run
The first phase has been the toughest part.. still haven't beat him yet. I've only got to 2nd phase once... In 20 trys. Maybe I suck
Still works in 2024. You just have to have patients and the right spacing
Dunno what kind of boss u got here but mine never stops attacking and flying ON ME ALL TIME, cant fuking get out wtf
Fuggit. I just had my grandma do it.
Thanks for making this video, nameless king was the only boss I struggled with in the entire base game
Bruh me to
Yeah, cause they literally just removed any real downtime between combos and gave him the ability to transition into any combo. People figured him out so FromSoft had to protect their legacy of "difficult games" and broke him
I got him down to a sliver of health and ran out of estus. There’s a glitch when if you look away with your shield on your back form the lightning it will never hit you. But my dex is too low and I went through 150 arrows still didn’t kill him
git gud
@@wollny92 Amazing, that may be the single stupidest response anyone could've made to this comment.
My fucker keeps being extra aggressive and doesn't allow me to run away!!! What camera settings do you have? Auto togfle on or off?
Thank yoy i got him like 3 hits away but i had like a sliver of health one uit im dead whipped out ny bow and finished him off with like 10 arrows thank god took me 4 trys
This works a treat on NG as that is exactly how I killed him. Trying this on NG++ though forget it. I tried it and it just doesn't take off enough health. Also the attacks in the second phase are insane and you don't get any chance to aim.
Just tried this on NG+++. I can confirm the cheese is no good.
@@mrpositronia I think it only works on NG. It definitely worked for me then but NG++ & NG+++ are a different matter as his attacks are far more aggressive. I agree that it doesn't work after NG. Your best bet is to summon someone to help in NG+++ if you are online.
Im in NG+10 and this did work for me
@@gond6099 I am amazed, nice one.
This should work on new game+ too, since for some reason his health doesn't increase on the second cycle
you sir are a legend :) ive been trying the nameless king for ages and phase 2 always butchers me :( Thank you so much i finally defeated him :) after 100 attempts or more watched this killed him first time :) Thank you
What am I missing? This absolutely doesn't work he doesn't just let you run away he doesn't even let you keep him behind you so I really don't know what you guys are talking about
I am not a player who likes to cheese bosses but the camera on King of the Storm was just so shitty that I’d get to Nameless King with 2-3 flasks left after dying to off screen attacks in phase one.
Hey whats the amror you're using? It looks amazing!
Everytime the 2nd phase starts, the ps4 laggs so badly I can not even play this. Only boss I'm PROUDLY cheesing
You really are helping a lot thx
I am going to try and do all the bosses in ng+ for the platinum and I thing I will be looking tho lots of your vids
Youre a life saver. I could not for the life of me beat the sob before this.
I have played through this game 10 times and was not able to beat nameless once. I challenged him at least 30 times
Guess I got lucky, beat him on my second attempt with the dark sword.
5 days trying to beat nameless until find this video. Thank you so much from Brazil!
this worked really well, thank you so much man
Wish it was this easy. All his attacks one shot me as a magic caster, it only takes one missed roll to reset everything
Worked very well for me on the phase 2 using the Dragonrider Bow +4 with the Dark and Wood arrows, oh the Phase 1 I just attacked as normal :D
Epic thank you
Thank you SO much for this strategy.
Did they change this? If I'm more than 10 feet from him he won't stay on the ground for more than a second
Tf? Stupid wyvern wont stay on the ground for more than 2 seconds for me
This is so helpfully for me thank you so much!!
"That's so dumb! But he's so cool! But he's so dumb!" Don't mind me... just having a tfs moment...
Still works in 2024. (Ended up going melee on the KOTS, but cheesing the NK.) Thanks for the help!
For everyone who could do that my advice for you is to not even think about doing that, which is actually dumb action to do, you will just ruin a great boss and waste a great experience with the nameless king so just try harder and get good.
Man, wish I saw this before I wasted half the day and all my embers. It worked man thanks
GGs dude!
OMG!!This really worked!!Thanks a million bud!!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the strategy! One thing I'd disagree though is that I don't think this is a cheese. After all, it's only natural to keep a distance from the enemy if you're using a bow.
You're awesome! Subscribed! Bell'd!
Ya...this is not a cheese....u have to keep proper distance and dodge his wind attacks and lightning lunges....
I will still prefer the uchigatana for the first phase, but i never thought i would defeat the king himself with a bow instead of a sword, thanks
I got him raptor i apologize i forgot to put on the rings BE SURE TO PUT ON THE RINGS EVERYONE
GGs dude!
Yea, so… Boss is faster than me, doesn’t let me escape, hits me while on the ground and during recuperating frames. I gotten further with the Great Machete. This didn’t help at all. He’s not doing the same movement, just keeps getting closer.
Thats what is happening to me as well. Not acting like his AI at all
Either it's been patched or this is like a 1 in 50 run where the AI was very kind. O don't know how this shit works but not one of my fights has even come close to how passive the fight it.
I'm starting a new ds3 run in the morning and he is the only base game boss I haven't been able to get. I will try this out. Thanks
Great vid, thanks. Hilarious to see on reddit on mention of this cheese on first search. I did start experimenting with a bow but he closed the distance a few times. Just have to be a bit more committed.
U saved me, did the first phase close combat with shield and twin daggers. Immediately unequipped all clothes, shield and sword for 2nd phase. Went first try with this strat.
This video still works if youre on NG++, jus make sure your bow is +10 and USE GOOD ARROWS
He just runs after me its impossible
My favorite part of this is this guy claiming he is the easiest boss in ds3 and he is also considered hardest video game boss in history
Thank you! thank you! thank you! I think it's the only boss in the entire game that I thought that I would simply skip because I couldn't defeat but after 1 try after seeing your video I managed to defeat him. thank you so much!
Thank you for this, worked like a charm
thank you so much, i just played your style this morning and i beat him 1st try.. the armor set is worth to beat nameless kind and badass look..
I think they parched this, he sprints st me and constantly does a lunge across the entire map at me
I dont think so, just beat him this way and it went smoothly. Stay as far away as you can and he just do that wave range attack.
Considering this video is from January and DS3 came out over 4 years ago, I doubt FromSoft patched this. It's probably just bad luck on your part
just did it on my 1st try and it works fine
Why would they patch this? A bow is a legit weapon.
Bow is the most powerful weapon in the series. Every time, you find an unbeatable boss. You can always use a bow to kite it, but I never thought that you actually can kite this boss at that distance.
When someone says they have a cheese method for a boss... they don't usually get THAT cheesey...
I really don't want to cheese the King himself because I actually like phase 2, but this will be a massive help for the awkward phase 1. +9 Black Bow of Pharis, 40 Dex, 99 Feather Arrows, fingers crossed it works
Did it work?
Not happening…for me at least. He keeps charging and I’m never able to create space between us. I’m on 22nd try now.
Thanks for the video though.
This boss does not move like this he jumps in the air and Flys at you and it's super hard to stay away. This will not work.
yeah it doesn't work. he keeps jumping on me like he's crazy.
Thank you man I was struggling hard but after watching this I know what to do now I’m still struggling on this boss but I’m just thankful I’m doing better from this watching this
Thank you for the guide it really work in 2022 🙏🙏🙏🙏
