I just want to say thank you so much for this video. I thought I'd never beat this guy. I'd watched numerous videos that didn't help at all, and read numerous strategies that didn't help either. However after watching your video I went, and killed him the first time I tried. Thanks again.
Thank you bro!! I was stuck at him and nothing seemed to work for strength build because of slow attack speed but after watching this I beat him for the first time❤
I first played DS1 about a year ago and basically lived behind my shield the whole time. It worked great. Since then I played Elden Ring and Bloodborne and got more used to dodging. But maybe it's time to return to my roots...
Good strat, but man I hate it when I run across a vid like this and the OP doesn't show his stats and build. You really need to tell us where you are and everything you're using. It is important.
I reckon that 40 vigor for NG should be a solid amount of HP for the fight, alongside a matching amount of STR and whatever vitality you'll need to lug around the shield and sword while still having a mid roll (in addition to whatever armor that stops lightning damage best for it's weight) If you're gonna Havel tank it, you may need nearly 80 vitality assuming you have no rings to help out
He's packing the guts sword, dragonslayer great shield, and some light armor that can handle lightning attacks while keeping his equipment load down. Hopefully he adds what rings he was using in the description, but I have an idea for a set you can use Steel Protection, Thunder Stoneplate, Prisoner's chain for some extra stats, and maybe the hornet ring if you wanna milk his opportunities for a Riposte If you don't have that particular sword, you could consider a Great Club infused with a heavy gem

I made a Guts build, so I'm just primarily STR. But my shield is the Grass stamina one. I'm hoping this will help me out, thanks for this vid
Thankkkkk youuuu i just beat this bum after 100s of tries ur method was the only 1 That worked yesssssss now this cinder lord bum
You was locked on to the king most of the time. That’s why hitting the dragon was harder.
Awesome. So satisfying.
This helped me see the battle differently. Cheers for the tips.

Thanks for this, I think I know what to do now. Will keep trying it :)

The best strat is the one that works. Shields need love too.
If u wanna dodge the lightning smash in p1 roll close to the dragon head and counter
What is your gear here exactly?

How is your stamina recovering that fast? He kills me even with the ring +3 and items because stamina can't recover that fast
Thanks I’m gonna try
Do i have to upgrade the shield ?
