    @dolvevitausa, Sabin had 10 foals. None were by Danzig. She had two by Alydar, two by Forty Niner, and the rest were by Cox's Ridge, AP Indy, Easy Goer, Conquistador Cielo, Seeking the Gold, and Gulch.

    and if anybody but iron trainer Woody Stephans had trained this horse like John Nerud he could have been any kind of horse and last at least a few more races , Woody was notorious for pounding on his horses some could take it and well others didn't Danzig had delicate knees like Dr. Fager and the world knows what happened to him in the hands of genius John Nerud who never over trained his horses and I know that for a fact since that is where I learned to gallop horses

      Danzig was never going to last on the track regardless of who the trainer was. Watch the videos on YT of his races. He pounded so hard in the front it makes you wince to watch him run. He's lucky he didn't break down completely with his action.

      I disagree completely Danzig had perfect conformity. All horse dig no matter the action. He actually would have been suited for soft or yielding turf , but in America it’s mostly firm and fast. He was too valuable (breeding) to keep running not because of any action.

      Just for the record my long-time friend Sue Myers walked horses for Woody at the time and she's the one who dished this inside info to me , I could care less one way or the other , ask Swale

    Was Sabin ever bred to Danzig?

    • @DoubleDogDare54
      @DoubleDogDare54 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. Probably because she was by Lyphard, a Northern Dancer son, and it would have been inbreeding.
