- Hey guys, welcome back to another vlog! Today was super cool - I met some really nice people from Thailand at the River Kwai Bridge. We hung out, talked, and snapped some awesome pics. I gotta say, this spot in Kanchanaburi is now my absolute fave, especially for my morning coffee fix!
After chilling by the bridge, I decided to explore a new area in Kanchanaburi. And guess what? I went to check out this super famous thing called the Skywalk! Now, me and skywalks? Let's just say we usually don't get along, haha! So, you gotta stick around to see if I conquer this walk in the clouds or not.
To wrap up the day, I took a leisurely walk along the Kanchanaburi riverfront. It was so relaxing and the views were stunning. Anyway, I won't spoil it all for you here.

I wasn't sure on the cemetery. It looked like a Chinese cemetery. But I'm guessing it could be connected to the War Cemetery.
The place has changed and grown so much last time I was there was 1999, so looking at your coverage is making me think its time to visit again Wayne, thanks again for all the information you give us.
Great town mate. I'll be coming back again 👍
The street u say nothing 😀 along the river, is full packed with a night marked every saturday, full of stands and food, conserts and fully of life , some gooood noodle soup opposit the skywalk that you past there , cant make em all 😅 ,good one again 👍
Yep, busy for one night a week at the Saturday market. It's mostly quiet the rest. Great noodle shop.over the road, had lunch twice there.
Cheers 🍷
Thanks Wayne for another great walkabout. This place looks pretty good . NOt too busy and some good sights .
Thank you! Yes it's a really nice place. Not too many people about.
The walk looked awesome mate def on my visiting list I live in Bangkok but never been
It's one of the better Skywalks, for sure. Nice area down near the river too. Hope you can make the visit one day.
So basically what your Australian friend was saying that not only are there tigers in Kanchanaburi but also cougars? 😂
Hahaha He was a great military man , that Australian guy. The cougar info came from a man sitting on a bar stool, drinking Chang 🤣
Very nice mate - you are showing me stuff I didn’t have time for - this place certainly grows on you very quickly - Excellent mate - Thank you ✔️👋👍🙏
Hope all is well Ant. Yes, great town 👌
Nothing like a Glass Skyway Walkabout to get you prepped for a cold one.
Very true mate. I needed a cold one after this.
Congrats on 18k subs mate! Well deserved...25k before year end I think 😊
Cheers Jeff, mate. That would be nice. We keep plodding on. Cheers buddy.
Ploy guesthouse is where I stayed back in 2014, it was on the main strip with the bars and restaurants.
Nice!
Whats the nightlife like?
Scawy! Hahahaha Awesome! I got vertigo just watching, can barely watch!! Hahahahahah
No more Skywalks for me 🤣
@@WalkAboutWayne hahahaha, it was fun…but I won’t do it! 😉
😂😂 finally you got it🎉 Patti-yah👍thank you for showing. Loving the less people town. Do they have beaches for tourists?? Maybe not. Still so nice with water close by everywhere! Enjoy the rest of your...ti aow🙋♀️
No, still saying it 3 different ways 🤣. No beaches here, great area down near the river though. Thanks mate
Nice,.. very nice 🙂
Thanks a lot 😊
3:42 - I was just thinking, Wayne, you need one of those hats with the curtains hanging off the back like the Japanese soldiers used to wear in Ww2 to protect your neck from the sun.. and a few seconds later this guy shows up.. 😂 That sign with all the prohibitions reminds me of the one outside the Chiang Mai football stadium.. 😁
🤣🤣🤣 yeah, the rules was strict, I can understand why though ( sort of) it's a nice skywalk ina great location.
@@WalkAboutWayne It was missing "no drones", though.. and "no throwing bottles".. 🤣
Nope! Why do you keep doing this to us WAYNE!! I get weak knees just watching that!😂
Haha. That's my last Skywalk for a while mate. I'm not the most comfortable on them .
Erawan National Park is just up the road there, nice waterfall and there is another waterfall at Sai Yok Noi not that far away from Kanchanaburi town.
They look awesome. I was told they are bone dry at the minute though.
I would be drawn back to that place too brother but definitely not the glass bridge 🙈
This bridge was making all sorts of sounds ( unless it was me) I wasn't too confident with the max people signs either 🤣🤣
@@WalkAboutWayne you’re a braver man than me, keep up the good work bro 👍🏼
Nice one Wayne. Note there are dots all along the glass walk way and looking down they catch your attention and the fact there is actually something there under foot. It does psychologically reassure and alleviate the fear of heights and any potential fall. Well that's my take on it anyway mate. Top video. 🤩 Nice wrap for you by Chai on his Boulevard Da Nang video overnight. Lovely fella Chai!! 🤩
Yeah, it wasn't to bad mate, some parts were worse than others. I hate heights. Good ol' Chai, he's a Bobby Dazzler! Thanks mate.
The skywalk was fantastic stay there a bit longer and enjoy your time there's no hurry to get back home find a nice lady and enjoy yourself and thank you
Cheers mate, no hurry just yet. A few more days I reckon, then onto somewhere else .
Go slow back north, mate. But comfortable! You gotta think “when will i get this chance again?” Quick flights to anywhere will always be available in the future! Keep bein a bobby dazzla!
Maybe! I have thought about it. Not the best time of year to be inside trains and buses though. Thanks buddy! Bobby Dazzler!
Just stumbled upon your channel sir (Subscribed) and have fell in love with your travels. Are you former military? Really appreciate your content my friend.
Thank you buddy! Welcome to the channel. No, I don't have a military background .
It's a great view!
It was nice down that end of town . 👍
Kanchanaburi is a nice little town...i would live there if it wasnt as hot as the surface of the sun 😊
A slow train trip back is an awesome idea, maybe go up to Isaan , Khon Kaen, Udon Thani then head west to CM
It's a super hot town, one of the hottest in Thailand, so I've been told by a local. I've got the next plan sorted mate. Few more days here, then off again.
Wayne I be honest out of all the places you have been this is the most relaxing place I can’t I found a four bedroom house were you are 6500 per month you could have a base here and just travel weekends it’s so easy to get to Bangkok the food seems cheaper even if you stayed here and Thursday to Sunday you could travel I love this vlog man
It's a great town and yes, one of the best I've been too. It might be an option for the future but the North is still for me......for now .
Nice one Wayne. Lovely Kanchanaburi. Great memories indeed. Thank you for showing us around. Green tea(or whatever you drink) on me. 👍🏼😃🫶🏻Kanchanaburi ❤
Thanks buddy! I seen the Green tea also. That will be my morning dating mate. Thanks
Well another reason to visit Kanchanaburi again is to do the Skywalk it looks awesome...Erawan National Park is worth a visit as well nice area to swim as well it is beautiful there.
It's a good Skywalk, great views and nice area of the town. I've heard the waterfall is a bit dry at this time.
thank you Wayne for bringing us on this tour ☺️
My pleasure
You can take a boat down to the Lawa caves, which you can explore, if you're not claustrophobic? 😊😊
No more caves for me mate. I'm all caved out .
@@WalkAboutWayne, 🤣🤣🤣
You can see the difference in colour on your vid where the 3 rivers of Kanchanaburi, Mae Klong, Phachi and Kwae Yaï, meet from your shots on sky bridge. I was looking for that when I was there but didn't see it. Thank you for doing this vid.
Yes, it definitely isn’t pollution like he thought.
The pollution was over the mountains mate. Not where the 3 rivers meet.
@@WalkAboutWayne I see, my mistake. I was focused on the water when your subtitles appeared.
That sky bridge is a beast
Yes, it's a good one 👍
Well done
Thanks
That skywalk must be pretty new, as I've seen a few vlogs on Kanchanaburi but none of them had that in it, unless they just missed them, but I will definitely be checking that place out.
I think it's relatively new, maybe 1 year. It still looks new.
Buildt it during the pandemic, to atract tourists 👍
Hi Wayne, good market area around the bus station and inexpensive apartments..clock tower area.
Nice one Robin 👌
The Sky Walk appears to be longer than when I visited Kanchanaburi in December 2023 or is that just the camera effect?
I remember pulling up on Mr Dan’s motorbike & sidecar taxi, took one look at it and told MR Dan to return me to my room for brunch.
I was not about to waste good “beer coupons” on walking a glass plank!
At least you highlighted to “do’s & don’ts.
It might have been the camera angle. It wasn't to long. Haha yes, a lot of rules on the glass. Thanks
u really should do a "river cruise'!!its nice!
i just paid 900 baht for a private boat, 1hr tour..
and the riverfront + market by night is great as well...
enjoy! cheers
Maybe mate. The weekend market should be good though. Cheers.
Looks like a nice place
Great town mate.
7:19 - where is the one in Chiang Mai?? Need to find it next time I go. Oh.. i thought the sign said "Do not leak" at first.. 😂
Doi Saket mate. It only opened a few weeks back. I got a vlog of it on the channel .
@@WalkAboutWayne Ah.. up in the mountains. 😁
what kind of gimbal do you use for you rgo pro ?
I don't use a gimbal 👍
Omg I be trashed of the sky walk 😂
It is a daunting one, especially with the maximum people signs up. That got me worried 🤣
@@WalkAboutWayne Wayne they have one street full of night life there the 19th hole bar try it out mate your get a hole 🕳️ in won 🥇 😂
15:36.coffee????
Never touched a drop
Sensible rules, hope they stick with them. Imagine people having stones stuck in their soles, metal feet on their tripods or dropping bags on the Skywalk while filming themselves, going to look shit pretty fast. Some good Thai bars down there on a night. Nice beach further along the river if you've got a bike at Wat Tha Lo.
Yeah I agree with keeping the glass fresh and clean. A few of them were confusing but it ran well. 👍
Skywalk was beautiful but usually there is a view of something below, there didn't seem like there was a lot to look at underfoot.
No nothing below really Dan, just water and land, nothing exciting. The far end was good, where you see the views.
It’s a change not to see skyscrapers like Bangkok and less traffic Wayne
Yes mate, so chilled here . Good place to get away from the traffic and noise.
15 people max or 5 American's 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why is all this mystery surrounding the name of Pattaya? It's "pa-ta-ya" and say the "ya" longer than the other vowels.
God knows, that's about the 6th different way someones wrote it in the comments though 🤣🤣.
@@WalkAboutWaynehehe the mystery continues.
hey you lied an went to china 😀
🤣🤣🤣
You need to get a bigger hat mate?
Or a smaller head 🤣
@@WalkAboutWayne 🤣🤣🤣
If you go back to Bangkok, go visit the sea life aquarium, whatever it's called, in Siam Paragon mall. It's expensive, but you get to walk on a glass bridge with huge sharks swimming beneath...
Kanchanaburi looks like nice simple life. Great vlog. 👍👍
I'll keep it in mind. 👌. Yes, nice chilled town , I don't want to leave 😀
He's looking for a husband for his daughters? 😂😂
🤣🤣 He could be mate, they looked older than him though. Great guy .
@@WalkAboutWayne 🤣🤣
