this made me very sad. my favorite scene of les mis just got killed infront of me, now i have to watch 10th anniversiery concert to see how it is supposed to be.
wow. so no one stopped to think that this musical is NOT suited for a CHRISTIAN school!?! Prostitutes? thievery? Con-artists? oh, no, this is PERFECT for "christians" to perform!
I think this is a perfect example of how censorship can make a funny song hilarious BUT for all the wrong reasons...if you dont like the words, dont do the production. Ironically the parents seemed to have no problem portraying their children and drunks in a pub!
@daeraedor Hey! guess what! i dont read the bible! i'm Wiccan! so take that! but as for the people you've listed, its fine to put them in art and literature, but i didnt think a CHRISTIAN school would allow somethings which are frowned upon in society

Yeah...my school's doing Les Miz this spring, and the cast list just came out. I can't wait to tell Dad I'm a prostitute lol

And they change the words!!!! The whole point of the show IS for them to say "Bastard" and "But there's not MUCH THERE" You lose all the jokes!!!!!
