Hey Bob, I discovered your channel when I was getting a switch a few years ago, I love your content and it hold a lot of nostalgia for me because I binged everything switch related to know what to buy, thank you for all your hard work!
Great video Bob! Your last bag video inspired me when it was time for a new backpack. Ofc my switch have always been with me after getting it last year. I added the power bank and 8bit do controller what is great for both my MacBook and switch on the go after watching your video! Thanks for your videos and tips! Love from Sweden
I picked up a Waterfield case for my Switch Lite, specifically the Slip Case in waxed canvas. Yes, buying a $70 case for the Lite is absolutely overkill, but it's super well-made, and I don't regret the splurge!
Awesome! I just requested this video update a few days ago and Bob was already on it. Love these videos. Honestly I'd be interested in regular Bob's Bag update videos throughout the year.
I have the same sticky problem with the metal joycon shells and button. If you're crafty enough I solved it by taking the affected button out and file down the base of the button and then adding in a little silicone gel lubricate like "SuperLube" that most airsofters use for their guns. Never had any sticking after that.
I bought a camera bag from Amazon, for like $35 and I love it so much, its small, it stays standing up, it holds my iPad, switch in a hard case, all the wires I could need, a portable power bank, a couple games in box or a switch pro controller
I've used Waterfield cases for my Switches almost exclusively. The slick case is a cheaper option than the City Slicker in the video. Both are great and well worth the money. Enough padding to toss into a bag without having to worry about the switch getting damaged.
Always have. If it wasn't for Bob's beautiful mug, calling social media "garbage" for years now, and the great cinematography, I may not have stuck around. Yet now I'm a simple man. I see Bob I click.
My favorite bag so far is the Commuterpak from Funk St Outfitters. I liked it so much that I bought a 2nd one. So I did the ultimate test on what can fit inside and its 3 sets of Joycons with straps(not including the ones on the Switch, 2 Switches w/ joycons attached, earbuds, 7 Gulikit powerbanks, Gulikit’s compact gamecard holder/playstand, 1 lightning charging cable, 1 usb c cable(the small one that came with the Lets Go Pokeball), the bigger Official Nintendo Powerbank, extra thumbcaps, Bionik Powerplate(debating on whether i really need it when out of the house). The bag is slightly heavy, not too much for to handle but everything fits, not too shabby.
My Satisfye grip case holds the large Anker Switch bank, and can fit a couple controllers in the top. I keep the 8bitdo Lite and Zero in there always, but I can probably squeeze the lite and SN30 Pro next to each other, although the pressure on the sticks isn’t my favorite.
I found the 8bitdo N30 pro (not to be mistaken to the SN30 pro on the video) quite cheap and it has been my travel company controller ever since. I'm so happy I found the GameCube themed one too because it looks really nice.
11:01 I love these cases, but not for portability. I only RARELY use the joycons, so being able to put them away along with the little thing you can put them in to make them more "controller like" and those rails you can get for them is great. I also have the SN30pro+, the one with the grips, so unless I'm playing a 3D game I can put my pro controller away in one of those to. And if I just haven't been playing my Switch in a long ass time I can just put the entire thing away, dock and all, in the case and just leave the case on a shelf until I wanna play my Switch again so its not collecting dust. Those kinds of cases also probably come in handy if you're going on holiday, like maybe to a relatives house overseas or something, but I personally just use them for amazing storage at home.
It's so awesome to see these types of videos! :D I definitely prefer also traveling as light as possible, and so I usually only put my Switch in a thin case so it doesn't take up too much space. But even that gets pretty heavy, especially for a thin tote bag :')
I have a switch lite so I usually take my case, my physical games that fit in my case (I only have like 9), the 8bitdo lite controller, the anker power bank, and a little stand I got on Etsy to prop my switch up for tabletop mode.
Great content as always. I usually just have a case for my Switch as well as a pro controller. I have a portable charger but, like you, I never play long enough in hand held mode to the point where I need to charge it.
I use a switch case that can hold my switch, all my physical games, a power bank, earbuds and an extra set of joycon. Despite holding all that its pretty compact and fits nicely into any and all of my bags.
Bought the desk mat so I’ll give a little review: It’s wide, boy. It covers a nice portion of my desk and it fits everything you’d need to use in your desk. Just like every other desk mat, it hasn’t slipped out on me so the rubber bottom works. The mat’s bright and I like the contrast between my black mice and keyboards. The print is also pretty decent. Don’t know about taking it for travel though, I just keep it on my desk. Only thing is because it’s so big, I can’t stack my mats together with it on top. Worth the $30? It’s a little pricier than normal mats I would buy but it was a way to support Bob and it’s a nice quality mat. Cheers
Bob, I'm still running one of those minimal shells for the Switch dock after watching your video on them. For a budget minimalist case, the tomtoc slim case for the Switch has been amazing for travel. you still making me want another 8Bitdo controller despite endless frustration with my SN30 GP's dpad diagonals. Mostly want it for Celeste but having random diagonals in that game is beyond frustrating. All that said, my daily carry bag usually has my modded DSi or GBA SP with a flash cart in it. Both make the Switch feel massive.
CELESTE OMG. I got the 8bitDo with that game in mind. LOVED it for... most of the game. And then suddenly i got to the part with those golden feather bubbles that you need to steer. Holy hell. Worst experience of all time. I was switching to the stick when I got inside the bubble and then switching back.
I actually use the Mumba case on my Switch (the dockable one) and use a pair of black 3rd party joycons that have a d-pad and just stuff it in my bag, feeling it'd be safe enough in there. Then I put in a magnet switch game case that holds 24 games. I just put them in my backpack along with a laptop, and a pair of headphones that are wireless but I can also plug in a headphone jack). I also have 2 power banks in my bag (one that can charge my laptop using USB-C & one that has an outlet) along with a cheap 65w USB-C charger and a pair of 2 usb-c cables (a 6ft and a 10ft).
Ooh I bought that leather switch case not that long ago, I vaguely remembered seeing it talked about quite highly in TH-cam vids ages ago and I now realise it was you doing the talking 😂
Hori also has a better version of the table stand that is larger, more stable, has 2 more USB ports, and the stand angle is fully adjustable. I have both stands and greatly prefer the larger one.
It's been about a year since the last time I took the Switch to play on the go. When I'm on the outside, usually the only time I have to play is on the bus or waiting for something (Long enough time to be boring, but not long enough to play anything too engaging). The Switch is not really suitable for those scenarios, since it's too big and it features console games for the most part. Because of that I started carrying my GBA SP instead, it's so small it fits anywhere, and the games are quick and save frequently. The IPS screen is visible on it's minimum brightness even if the sun is hitting it straight on, is pretty great! Not to mention the EZ-O DE flashcart, which has rumble and emulators.
Can’t believe you don’t travel with the satisfye grip. Mine doesn’t fit in my case because I bought the case first but I still have to toss it in the bag. I need that mini dock tho. Great vid.
I prefer a Fixture S1 over the Satisfye grip. Though I’m trying to be patient for the S2 for the new OLED 😐. I don’t have a case for mine yet, I plan to get one when I get the S2.
My to go bag normally is: - Skull & Co Max Carry Case - OLED Switch w/ Skull & Co Grip Case and thumb grips - JLab Air ANC earbuds - Skull & Co bluetooth adapter (this was before the Switch got the Bluetooth audio update) - Switch charger - Witcher 3 and what ever else peaked my interest for the month Tho recently, if I’m out and about near home then: - Skull & Co EDC slim Carry Case - OLED Switch w/ Skull & Co Grip Case and thumb grips -JLab Air ANC earbuds - Witcher 3 and what ever else peaked my interest for the month I play handheld about 99% of the time so I don’t bring the dock or controllers with me tho I have considered it when I came across cute carry cases for the whole sha-bang. Something nostalgic about it since I grew up with the GBA rather than a PS or XBox. 🥰
Need those headphones, baby!! I love my Soundcore Life Q35 by Anker over ear headphones. I also usually have a backup slimmer pair of Bose Soundsport and a cheap wired headphone as well. Can't be too sure that I have headphones to drown out the annoying sounds around me. I also love my controller pouch made by Skull & Co and the Skull & Co Gripcase Crystal and MaxCarry Case for my OLED. I just got those about 2 weeks ago and now they just go with me always.
When I know I'm going some place where I'm gonna be gone for a while or traveling I bring my backpack. I just throw all my purse stuff into and bring my Switch Lite, with its Inateck case, and my Kindle Paperwhite.
Dude the Genki/Human Things Covert Dock! It was a Kickstarter and they did it with flying colors. I have loved mine ever since I got it and goes with me every time I bring my Switch somewhere I plan to play docked!
I dont use that thing anymore. I got sound Problems while using it and then really feared of bricking my switch. I just bought an official dock for my desk now
@@GlutzahnLP Ahh, good point! The long USB-C cable they have ended up not working for some reason. Only the standard USB-C cable did. Dunno if they've fixed that!
I have a Genki power adapter. Works as a charger and hdmi out if needed. Will charge MacBook Pro or switch without a problem. The satisfeye grip and slim case are already part of the switch. Mine is just the ButterFox case, Binbok Joycons, 512gb memory card, modded switch lite charging dock so the power cord doesn't poke my gut while I'm charging and a pair of my airpods.
Awesome video My girlfriend laughed when I pulled out my switch , my hori spilt pad pro , my nyxi pad pro my portable charger and game case to spend the weekend at her house
5:00 - 8:48 is the part you're looking for. Ur welcome ✌️
Thanks for having me Bahb 😊
love it 😂
Thanks, Wood!
Thanks Wood 😂
Wood the Chad ;)

I spent over $100 for Colorware gold joycons😅 whatever makes us happy Yknow💯
I'd rather buy a regular Switch and a random case for like 40 dollars more lol
Wood doing the fucking basic instinct shuffle cracked me up
Idk why but for some reason I love that wood and Bob are really good freinds
This makes me feel a lot better about the stuff in my bag. I thought it was cluttered but I've got solid basics
The desk mat is so cool! I never knew something like that existed but now I absolutely want one 😁
Wdym you can find desk mats like that everywhere😂
Awesome! I just requested this video update a few days ago and Bob was already on it. Love these videos. Honestly I'd be interested in regular Bob's Bag update videos throughout the year.
Great video! Love how Kim just mic drops the funniest line with no intention of saying it for the video, just being funny to herself 😂

Picking up that gorgeous desk mat. I love the aesthetic. It'll match Wood's Satisfye grip on my desk.

We could but that's positivity, and this is the internet so we can't do that

Those BoxyPixel joycon are so sweet. I'm gonna pull the trigger on those at some point.
Hey! Bringing nana around with the switch ain’t a hassle! She loved Mario and Zelda games.
Im not Interested in every topic you cover. But the quality of your videos always make me stay.

I will say, I bought the mousepad for Christmas. And it takes a dump on my old razer and steel series mouse pads. I love it

Very few changes to the Nintendo Switch travel bag, but like they say, If it ain't broke, don't fix it

good luck with your desk mats, hopefully it does well enough that you'll release a dark colorway

I have a Skull & Co MaxCarry Case for my Switch, which helps me to carry important cords that I have.
When are you releasing a Pokemon Arceus review? Would love your insights on the game!
Notice how he has pokemon arceus but has pokemon shield 🛡 🤔 inside the game switch, game sucks, pokemon shield and sword are on still on top
