I didn't bother working up to a 36 hour fast, i jumped head first right into it and ignoring all those annoying hunger hormones. Im going into my third fasting cycle on day 5 and have already recorded 12 pounds lost since i started.

Some people don't have to build up to it. I definitely had to :)

When I do 36hr fast, my cortisol spikes and my BP also rises. Can you talk how to fast safely

      Thank you for your comment.
Cortisol will go up when you fast. Especially when your body is not used to it or metabolically flexible. And the increased cortisol can cause a rise in blood pressure. Taking it slow and working up to the longer fasts is advisable.
Great idea!! I will talk about safety in fasting in a future video :)

actually i am targeting that. i came from 18:6 and i am now in OMAD. Maybe by next month i plan to do a rolling 36 for 1 month😅

A 36 hour fast is easier to move into once you have the OMAD lifestyle down. The study is interesting. 30 days would definitely take some planning.
The 36 hour fast is one that I use to break through plateaus and keep my body healing. :)

If you are wanting to get through a plateau or speed up fat loss, then once a week could be beneficial 🙂

Would you recommend the meals in between to be keto based or could it be something healthy still (that could still break you out of ketosis) I also don’t have a gallbladder

Keto based is a good goal. However, I do recommend getting more carbs from vegetables at times. But, everyone is different. The goal is to eliminate bad oils, sugar, toxins, and processed foods from your diet. Focus on whole, one ingredient foods. Then with fasting and eating Whole Foods you can train your body to go in and out of ketosis as you become metabolically flexible.😊
Because you don't have a gallbladder, Dr. Mindy recommends working up to fasts 20 hours and over. Also making sure you are supporting and supplementing for your liver & stomach because they are now doing the gallbladder's job. Get plenty of leafy green vegetables when you do eat. 😊
