@@DrMindyPelz I'm confused, if my eating window is 12pm to 6pm, am I allowed to drink water or tea (a combination of cinnamon, chamomile & peppermint tea, ginger paste, fresh lemon, ACV, and magnesium which I drink before I go to bed) after 6pm?

With the strength God gave me, I lost 210 pounds within over a little over a decade which is 30 inches off my waist line. Praise his awesome, holy, glorious, marvelous, and mighty name in the name of Jesus that I am in a size 32 in the waist in regular sizes and can wear size 34 in dress pants or slacks.

We've been fasting 6:18 since we retired 8 years ago. We eat breakfast and lunch. No snacks. We feel great and are at perfect weights. Our Dr says we're the healthiest seniors in his practice. We're also very active. We also don't eat dairy, gluten and sugar. Everyone in our social circle understands our lifestyle so it isn't a problem for us. This is a great opportunity for seniors to improve their health and lifestyle.

Awesome! I've just been told to exclude dairy and wheat (not just gluten!) from my diet coz (sugar is obvious too, I don't eat much anyway) I have some thyroid antibodies showing up. I have zero symptoms and am otherwise very healthy markers across the board. Great thing about a Dr who screens for everything and catches early before REAL health issue plague you! (He's from Low Carb Down Under, one of the main players). BUT, yeah BUT, I'm also just been told I can't have goitrogenic foods e.g. cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, (love these!) as it messes with the type of markers I am showing. So that leaves very little variation. What are some of your go - to meals? I've been LC for quite a while.

I get up for sugar, unfortunately. I go through stages where I can do without it; then I break down and have a packet cappuccino with sugar - it's like a double prize - caffeine and sugar .

Dr Mindy I am so thankful that I stumbled across you on TH-cam the summer of 2023. I was 217 and now it’s the end of January 2024 I weigh 167. I believe fasting has saved my life. I believe my obesity was hiding an underlying illness. This month my appendix burst on me. I’ve battled this all month being in and out of the hospital. I ended up having infection near my liver which is getting better. I’m almost all healed. I believe if I wasn’t for fasting it would have taken me much longer to heal. I was feeling really good because of fasting. Mentally clearer and healthier in general. I’m so happy to have this tool to keep me healthy. I’m 57 and no longer have a period. Thank you so much!!

My story is a bit of a weird one. For most of my adult life I have only really eaten in the evening, with the odd exception for various reasons. After having my kids I just got bigger and bigger despite the "fasting" ( didn't even know there was a name for what I was doing....I just did that because I don't like food earlier in the day). I used to snack a lot late at night and have alcohol maybe 5 nights a week ( I now know why alcohol hinders weight loss though), plus my sleep was terrible. To cut a long story short, 14 months ago I'd had enough and was at 224 lbs, my heaviest ( and I'm only 5ft tall). I stopped eating after about 7pm, cut out all snacking plus chocolate which had always been a weakness, and gave up the alcohol. I'm now 146 lbs and haven't finished yet. I want to get rid of another 25 lbs or so.

I am down to a size 6 in pants and small tops! I haven’t been this size since the early 80’s. Love all your advice! It is so good and works!

@@debiwillis9045 I watched so many TH-cam videos on intermittent fasting. I rotated my fast. 16/8, 18/6, 20/4 and some OMAD (one meal a day). I eat mostly meat (all kinds - salmon, regular hamburger patties, sardines, thighs and legs on chicken. Eggs, bacon and butter. Real full fat meat and dairy. Our bodies crave fat. I have limited fruit and vegetables. Cut out seed oils - canola, vegetable, soybean, peanut are some of the most toxic. Good oils - avocado, coconut, ghee, tallow and real butter. Cut out grains and starches. Going low carb is most helpful. A typical day - 4 or 5 scrambled eggs or any way you like them, 4 pieces of bacon. That is one meal. My next meal is usually 8ounces hamburger meat in a bowl and I can add iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes, sour cream and salsa. You can change out your toppings. I also listen to Dr Ken Berry. Stop eating by 7pm. Skip breakfast. After a few days it becomes really easy

Apparently I've been doing it exactly like you described, without knowing about the Melatonin factor. I've been fasting for about 9 months now. The last 6 months of it, between 16-17 hours. I start eating between 10-11 a.m. and finish my last meal between 5-6 p.m. I walk after every meal, even if it just going up and down the stairs of my building for a couple of times 😁 I try to get in 7000-10000 steps a day. I eat a proper breakfast and a proper late lunch and in between, a bowl of berries. I'm not pre diabetic anymore, my thyroid is not in hashimoto mode anymore, my ibs got a bit better and I've lost 30 kilos since last October.

I have a doctors appointment in two hours. I am a 76 active woman. This is after my blood sugar and A1c and cholesterol were all in the “high” range, four months ago. You are one of the people that I began following when I researched how I could lower the numbers by changing my diet and intermittent fasting. My bloodwork was done a couple of days ago and I already was able to check the results. I have lost 20 pounds and all the numbers are back within the normal ranges. I would like to lose 10 more pounds and continue this way of eating…..low carbs and intermittent fasting. I love that I saw this video this morning, you are so energetic and upbeat, it has me in a great mood for my doctors appointment and to stay committed to staying healthy! THANK YOU!!!!

Started 20:4 fasting 3 weeks ago without any problems. Eating window is noon to 4 pm. I head to the gym Monday to Friday around 6 or 7pm. Monday, Wednesday and Friday I burn 500 calories total on the elliptical and recumbent bike. I also do my dumbbell routine. On Tuesday and Thursday I use up a total of 1,000 calories on the elliptical and recumbent bike (no dumbbells). I eat on average 1600 calories per day. I use the zig-zag technique, consuming more on some days and less on others. I feel no ill effects with such a large calorie deficit. Fat is melting away and muscles are growing. It will take me about 6 months to drop 50 pounds and reach my normal weight of 180. I sleep better and have more clarity in my thinking. Not bad for a 69 year old body.

I just accidentally found Dr. Mindy while searching for something else regarding weight loss & decided to order her book after watching one video. I fell in love with her. Little did I know, I was fasting as a teenager & never knew what it was but just looked at it as I wasn’t going to stuff my face, I would only eat while hungry. I was walking a lot being out doors. My only hiccup was that when I started to feel hungry, I would grab a snack like a honey bun or something from the corner store & that was all that I ate for the day. Fast forward years later, I would do it again, I would have an activia yogurt & a banana for breakfast, then a lean cuisine for lunch. No dinner. I kept the weight down. Now I’ve just lost 20 lbs after being the biggest size of my life due to getting pregnant at 40 & just not focusing on my health & weight. No motivation at all but I’m back now 7 years later & Im ready. Thanks Dr. Mindy for enlightening me regarding fasting. I’m so grateful for this information 🥰

Hope your continuing to be successful! Thought I would stop by to say that I too am 64 and started IF in May of this yr, working my way to ADF. I have lost about 33 lbs. Isn't it wonderful to fast? I'm not sure why it took so long to find fasting and all these yrs have passed by when I could have been a healthy weight. The only reason I accidentally tripped over fasting, was I was on youtube looking for bariactric surgery and a payment plan. I had given up on myself.
Now, theres no way I will go through that pain and recovery. We deserve a round of applause for changing our lifestyle and not giving in and now, not giving up. Take care and thanks for the inspiration.

I just kind of jumped right in and have been doing a lot more research to fine toon things for me. 3 weeks in and I am 15lbs down have boundless energy. You hit the key word for me... it isn't motivation necessarily but momentum. Anytime i tried other things and got no where it was 'soul crushing" To see that not only is the weight coming off, i feel great. Never like before were I felt awful on those other 'diets' or exercise routines. Thank you, I appreciate your energy and adaptability because we are all individuals and have needs of our own. I lost a lot of weight recently, about 10 lbs in a month without starving myself.
I started with monitoring my sleep. I got a sleep app and now I make sure I get at least 4 hrs of deep sleep every night. If I don’t my day doesn’t go as well. I also try to get out in the sun as much as possible, at least 30 minutes a day and work out at least 30 minutes a day without overdoing it. Before my workout I take some cod liver oil & or MCT oil with a small cup of coffee for energy.
    My breakfast is light.
I also eliminated carbs, sugar, conventional meats, processed foods, and most dairy. I incorporated more of a Mediterranean diet. I eat quality foods. Meat as a garnish only and in moderation. I love goat/sheep cheese. Fruit and nuts in moderation. Oh! And a big one.. I eat at the same time every day bc of my job and it has worked like a charm for me. I eat at 6 pm and limit food after that. I notice if I snack at night I don’t sleep as well and a bad cycle begins and I actually wake up hungrier.
I had my gallbladder removed a few years back and I find that this is the diet that works best for me. I am pushing 50 and I feel better than when I was younger. No one believes my age.
Once you get that momentum going there’s no stopping because of how much better you’ll feel. I’m out of that mental fog and I’m overall happier.
I hope this helps someone. ❤️

It's amazing how the universe works, this video was very timely!! I've lost 87 lbs over the past two years by intermittent fasting, but I have gain 12 pounds back. I recently starting tracking my feasting end time and realized that my body likes to store if I constantly eat after 7pm and that I tend to lose weight if I end my feast time by 6pm, so I'm learning/ trying to adapt a feast time that agrees with my circadian rhythm while varying my fast to balancing social events. I'm still on my weight loss journey and I will lose another 54 pounds. Thank you, Dr. Mindy for you informative and motivating videos!! I discovered you, Dr Pelz, just this week at DOAC with your podcast with Stephen. For 4+ yrs I've been ( am 64) suffering from painful hip arthritis & have been tinkering with my diet to reduce inflammation. I was already trying intermittent fasting ( 13-14 hrs) & morning exercise (swimming in cold pool to alleviate pain) I was even thinking of investing in expensive stem cell treatments in a desperate move to avoid hip or spine surgeries my doctors are eager to do. (despite healthy bones as seen in xrays). Of all the self help doctors online, you are the ONLY one to make the link between prolonged fasting & triggering our own stem cells for healing ( with your achilles heel tendon story) so now I am taking that next step by pushing my fasting time ( doing 5 days right now seems too daunting) I reached 18 hrs yesterday & I did notice a 10-15% reduction of pain without a pain killer. This has encouraged me to soldier on. Thank you Dr Pelz. Im ordering all your books. I dont know if you are religious, but I felt God finally answered my prayers ❤️

I'm 48yrs old 5'3" and 110lbs, yes am petite. Although my weight has stayed the same for many years it has changed from muscle weight to fat weight and I noticed around the tops of my legs and belly it got flabby. I've limited my food intake, changed my food habits from good to excellent, tried less fruits and more veg, gone vegan, stopped all bread and most legumes (they're bloating), exercising more - nothing shifted this flab. Then I found you and went straight into a 4-day water fast. One of the toughest things I've ever done - mentally and physically. But on the other side, it was the best thing I've ever done. All the flab GONE, never felt so good about me. I've learned so much from your videos. THANK YOU Dr Mindy for everything.

Thanks for all Dr. Amazing the kind of changes I witnessed ever since I started “ IF “ in the last couple of years. Not only that I become disciplined in what I consume, I’m having less inflammation on my wrist where I had a severe pain due to carpal tunnel. I mix up my fasting by doing 16/8..20/4..14/10 at least three times a week. The best enemy of all is “ SUGAR “ and its products. Don’t remember the last time I had soft drinks and ice cream. I love my coffee twice a day and the best solution to substitute sugar, I started using organic honey. Now a days, I drink three or four times a week black one. It’s all about discipline and to learn how to say “ NO “. Good luck everyone. 🤗

I am a nurse and have never heard about losing weight in such a way. I just found you about 4 weeks ago, have been fasting and doing the 36 hour fast 1 time a week (actually turns into 40+ hours fasting because I work nights and sleep first half of the day). I have lost 12 pounds so far and no longer having hot flashes. This is HUGE as I’ve been needing two different supplements to help ease those hot flashes. Just started. I did the eight hour window of eating 10 am to 6 pm.. I was wondering if that was good enough for weight loss so after watching this I know. It was easy because I never ate in evenings anyway. I had breakfast at 10 which was different than eating as soon as I get up. But not too bad. I think I enjoyed my breakfast even more if that were possible. I had an apple in the afternoon. For supper I’m having a stir fry using healthy food from the garden and some brown rice. My eating habits involved too much carbohydrates and not enough vegetables so I want to improve on that.

Brilliant stuff Dr. Mindy and I have recommended you and fasting to many friends and family. I'm 60 and starting fasting 2 years ago. I lost about half a stone (UK measures) but then got stuck at the same weight and even with lots of exercise I couldn't shift anymore (I didn't have a lot to loose but would have preferred another half stone). So I watched more of your videos and started mixing up the fasts to 4-2-1 so my 1 day longer fasting is now a 24 hour fast weekly and I have included 2 days of non fasting, which I'd never done either of before. I started loosing 2lbs weekly and am now below my original target weight and feel great! I actually want to fast more for health and weight loss is just an added bonus. I'm thinking of trying a 48hr fast next. Thanks for all your insights and knowledge!

In June of 2023 I went from being pre diabetic to diabetic with a 6.5 A1C. My doctor wanted to start me on meds and I refused. I decided to make intermittent fasting a lifestyle change and began addressing ways and times to break my fast. As I searched TH-cam for answers, your videos made it easy to follow, explained what it promotes, and the best times to implement. Most of all, it was free and honest with yourself as living proof that it works!! It is now August and I was able to go from 217lbs to 203lbs. I no longer feel out of breath and exercising has become a lot easier. In September I will find out how much my blood sugar has dropped at my 3 months follow-up to determine if I really need meds!! You are my life coach and I THANK YOU!! God Bless Always ❤

So I listened to this video and I think it will help me to eat sooner in the evening. I'm going to try to have my evening meal at about 3:00 p.m. I'm here in California and it's pretty warm for December. I want to get my weight down to 130 because I'm only 5'1. I have gotten all the way to 138 before but I gained it back but I have kept off quite a bit of weight as when I first started losing weight I started actually at 269 lb and I lost quite a bit till I got to 180 lb and then I gained back weight till I was back up to 215 lb and that's when I started looking at Mindy's videos and it's amazing. Really truly is amazing. At one point I ate every other day for about a month. That's really hard. I don't think I ever want to do that again but it got me out of my stuck point. And I now going back to one meal a day at 3pm. I'm 60 years old now but I'm no longer more bitly obese isn't that quite spectacular. And I never did have a bypass surgery. I never count calories and I eat at dift times a day each day, but ofc I dry fast as long as possible daily, eat OMAD w/keto/carn refeeds and eat 2MAD if I realize my energy is low or I didnt make it thru a palm-sized meal and get hungry again. Thx Dr M.

When you reach a stubborn plateau, the only option from the toolbox is dry fasting ( 24-72 hrs) 36 hours is usually double for my experience

Much of this sounds right, but the melatonin part and fitting fasting to one's own lifestyle are impossible to combine to us in the Nordics. My natural eating window would be 11 am to 7 pm, but in the darkest time of year the Sun rises at 11 am and sets at 3 pm or so. I work as a teacher, so I can't make those four hours of sunlight my eating window since I have a very intense job to do. This presentation is definitely planned for Americans only.

I keep a relatively flexible fasting window, most days I have an 8 hour eating window, but sometimes I have to expand to it 10 hours, but I almost never eat beyond 7-8pm. Another tactic I use is walking everyday and my goal is 12k steps a day 5 days a week plus bodyweight exercises at least 2-3 times a weeks, building muscle so I burn more fat and increase my bmr(basal metabolic rate). I started my own experimentation with IF back at the end of February along with daily walks and have slowly ramped up my own exercise routine as I've gotten stronger. This was after I got a shock when I weighed myself for the first time in years, I weighed 95kg, and I'm 1.8 metres tall and not that muscular, so my bmi was 29. Overweight and closing in on obese, and after six months I've managed to get down to 84.5kg, I've lost 11kg slowly over time and I'm going to continue slowly and safely so I don't hurt myself.

These are great videos Dr. Mindy! Found you on Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO TH-cam podcast, which was a fabulous discussion. Now am subscribed to your TH-cam channel for more! You’ve inspired me to start IF 36/12. I only need to lose 16 lbs. I’ve done IF 16/8 before & lost about 25 lbs in a fairly short time, but with a lot of stress in the last few years, I’ve gained some of it back. I’m hoping the 36/12 will speed up the process- especially if I avoid eating in early am/evenings (I was normally fasting from 7pm - 11 am anyway), but going 36 hours isn’t that difficult; feels great.

I started IF and ketobiotic with you about 6 months ago. I am now addicted to kombucha, kefir and beetroot! LOL! I am currently beating bladder cancer and saw your interview with Nasha Winters so I am an avid fan and stalker of you both! Anyway in the last 6 months I have lost 10 kilos, dropped 2 dress sizes and have just had my second all clear with my oncologist! - whoohooo! He asked me if I had lost weight on purpose and I said yes and no! Yes because I wanted to lose a few kilos for vanity and no because it hadn't been my main reason for adopting this way of life. I wanted to give myself the best chance of never having to be on his operating table again and I felt a serious alteration to my life to introduce a ketobiotic, IF, healthy terrain, metabolic flexible approach to my life was the best I could do to achieve that. So he was impressed and I sent him away with a Dr Mindy Pelz and Dr Nasha Winters reading list!!!
I might not always be rigid in my following all the rules but in general I try to do a 5 1 1 week and so far its working for me. So thank you you fabulous ladies for bringing this into my life !!

Love ya Doc, seriously. Though I am a firm believer of calories in vs calories expended, I can't say I've ever had an easier time losing weight than I have with intermittent fasting. Cyclical Keto worked phenomenal when I was bulking and cutting, but that was only for 20lbs or so over the course of a couple of months. Definitely not something I could do indefinitely, or for a long period of time in general as was necessary on this occasion after putting on roughly 100lbs during the 2.3 years my area spent essentially locked down. I went from extremely active to no gym, very little socializing, and working a lot more from my house at a desk all day. 100lbs may seem like a ton, but it is literally 1 extra donut and coffee with cream and sugar per day than you are burning. I ate like I was burning 4K calories/day, and yikes did I pay for it. Cutting calories helped, but when you drop from 4K calories to maintain down to 2200, well I obviously did not cut nearly enough, and yikes was I car heavy. Like 400+ grams of carbs per day heavy, so ugh was it brutal.
After dropping 30lbs at what *_I_* would consider slowly, especially since I was literally *ALWAYS* hungry because of the insane amount of refined carbs (I know all this stuff too which makes it insane that after 30 years of being at 170-195 I let myself balloon to almost 300lbs, I mean talk about not paying attention!). Even at 4K cals a day I was hungry quite a bit, and regardless of what coach Greg says, eating 4K calories in *ONE SITTING* is not all that difficult. Couple of bowls of salad at Olive Garden, 3 baskets of Breadsticks (3-5 breadsticks per basket), some fried ravioli, stuffed mushroom caps and a Tour of Italy was my standard Friday dinner *When I was exceedingly active.* And no, if I was not trying to gain weight I wouldn't. Oh, that's about 11K calories btw, which explains why I could still be hungry a lot on 4K. Anyway, 30lbs gone, but then I was stuck at 255-265. I'd tried walking, which is what actually alerted me to how fat I really was, and my back would not let me go 30' without wincing in agony. 100' and I was tearing up with pain. Years of deadlifting, squats, farmer's walks etc. along with a couple of car accidents and numerous minor sports injuries had f'd up my back a bit. Or a lot I guess. An MRI revealved two healed fractures in my lumbar region, a couple of bulging discs, narrowing all over the place, along with 3 fissures in the cervical area, 2 more bulging discs, along with lack of fibrous cartilage that was supposed to protect numerous discs.
The neurologist recommended surgery. I'd previously had more than enough muscle to support myself and a bunch of weight during exercise, but too much of that had atrophied, and let's face it, walking around 100lbs overweight, even with muscle, would be like carrying around a 50lbs dumbbell in each hand then resting it on my midsection when I was trying to sleep 24/7. She (the neurologist) acknowledged that because of the types and placement of the injuries that losing 80+lbs and strengthening the muscles to about 50% of where they were (so basically half of what I'd lost by her explanation) would *_probably_* be enough to lead a normal life, but in her experience, people with these injuries in my situation simply could not lose that much weight because moving hurts so much. It got to the point where she threatened to stop prescribing me pain medication unless I agreed to the surgery. Btw, bc of the injuries no physical therapists would work with me, and all of the ones within 50 miles of me who specialized in water based rehab were either booked a year+ out or they did not take my insurances.
That did it. I was going to lose that fricken weight. I had no interest in pain meds. They only helped my sciatica anyway, and that was by far the least of my pain. So, again, 30lbs gone, and I was stuck now, bouncing back and forth. I *finally* found intermittent fasting again and thought _"Screw it, I really do not want to do Keto for 6 months to knock off the next 60lbs or so, so I'll try it and build on it if it works."_ Whelp, it certainly did. I was back to 263 when I started in early April, and had not been below 255 since 2021. I also downloaded _"Perfect Diet Tracker"_ since I couldn't find any free trackers online and did not feel like building my own database and spreadsheets. It was like $17.99 or something, so not too big a deal in the grand scheme of things. I decided to try 16:8 initially, but was so bloody hungry, I mean on the verge of vomiting for the first 12 hours or so, I just said _"Screw this, I'm going to go 23:1. If I am going to be starving 24/7 I may as well lose as much weight as possible as fast as possible."_ Oh, I'd also built up my ability to walk at this point, being able to get a half mile or so a couple of times a day, albeit with 3-5 10 second back decompression breaks.
Well that lasted 2 days, at which point I decided I could not get enough of the nutrients I needed into my body in an hour. I was not starving anymore though. That was literally *only* the first day. The first week was hard, but it was like my body tried to discourage me with everything it had on the first day, realized it wasn't going to work and acquiesced. Now I alternate between 18:6, 21:3, 23:1, and 16:8, though the majority is still 21:3. I alternate my starting time of the fast weekly. I eat what I want, for the most part, though I am pretty tight on the calories and try to make sure I get at least 100 grams of protein in and stay under my target calories which is currently 2120 before exercise. I make sure I walk at least an hour per day, or roughly 3 miles give or take *unless* it is pouring outside in which case it's just a mile (like yesterday, that sucked; lol, the dog and I were soaked). Another 30-90 minutes of bodyweight exercises along with whatever I can do with a dumbell and 47lbs. Since April 3rd I've gone from 263 to 238.8lbs. And I still eat Ice Cream Cake. And rootbeer floats (heh, in diet rootbeer and only a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream instead of 4 heaping ones topped with whipped cream, but darn it they are still a weekly thing ;^). And lasagna, pasta, chicken parm, hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries (well air fried potatoes, which taste better imo). There is a lot of sword fish, tuna and chicken breast as well, but those are all things I like and eat anyway. I still have spanish and portuguese rice, but I use long grain brown rice instead of packaged 1/4 rice 3/4's pasta blends they sell now to save money in production cost. I usually make my own burgers instead of buying frozen ones. I only use one piece of stone ground multi-wheat/grain bread on my tuna sandwiches. I use 3/4's of a piece of bread for an all beef hot dog roll instead of a Wonder Hot Dog bun, and _only_ have 3 hot dogs instead of 5.
So 28.2lbs in 2.3 months. Not too bad imo. And I'm not miserable. I'm also not starving all the time. Yes I use protein shakes to get more protein in since I'm obviously way under the daily caloric goal the tracker set for me to get to 222.5lbs by July 23rd. My waist is only down 3", but since my stomach and love handles are the first place I put on weight, well they're typically the last to go so I'm not worried about that. As for vitamins, I'm taking a multi, ditched the vitamin D since I am walking outside an hour or so per day, started taking a "Beet" pill along with _"Bloom Greens and Superfoods"_ powder (just a small scoop in 6oz of water. Tastes fantastic btw), Magnesium Oxide 400MG (yeah yeah, 4% absorption, I know) and just started 1200MG of Berberine w/Ceylon Cinnamon. And I switched from coffee to Green Tea/Black Tea (I just put 3 green tea bags and two black tea bags in a 62 oz kettle and brew it as needed) with a couple of dashes of cinnamon and some stevia. If I am famished and *_have_* to snack I have melon pieces (1"/1") I can grab a chunk of or a 10 calorie cup of jello if I am outside my fasting window, which does happen. I'm not perfect either. Oh, and apple cider vinegar. Duh. Every morning is either apple cider vinegar and water, lemon juice and water, sometimes all 3 if I'm really feeling courageous. If I'm exceedingly hungry in the AM I'll add a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of Himalayan salt, but that's not for everyone. Heh, anyone following anything like this, well I don't want them to get nauseous either. Then a shot of ACV and water before bed as well. No more heartburn anymore from foods either which is great. Cayenne pepper heavy dishes to pizzas with extremely bitter/sweet chunky sauces? Nope. Heartburn is now AFK.
Lastly, I bought one of those silly electric 6-pack makers from Amazon. No, I did not buy it for that. I bought it for my back, and it helped immensely. 10-20 minutes every few days and my back muscles no longer cramp. At all. It is bloody amazing. My sciatic nerve pain is also essentially gone. Will it work for everyone? I have no idea, I did drop 50lbs as well which makes an immense difference in-and-of-itself, though my sciatic nerve pain was the same regardless of weight. You can always return the thing if it doesn't help, just make sure it ships from the US otherwise they'll try to make you pay twice what the darn thing costs in shipping to send it back to China.
Ahh well, good luck on whatever your weight loss, health or fitness journey happens to be. Just fasting by itself works great. Everything else are just little things to make your life easier or the weight loss a tiny bit faster. If you hit a wall, just adjust. The amount of time, the amount of food, both...it's funny how little baby changes can jump start things. I hit a 3 day wall, changed from only eating between 8PM and 11PM to 3PM and 7PM then viola, about a half pound per day again. It should not be this simple, it really shouldn't!

Remember you lose inches too.. Also, change up something. I was 197 went down to 169/171 and was stuck for months, then gave up and am back at 192. I wish I was still stuck at 169/171. My mistake was I was eating the same amount of food even though I lost over 20 pounds, like heavy cream in my coffee or extra fat in my meals(was on keto). I should have cut out those added fats. I also could have implemented longer fasts sometimes eg I was on 16:8, could have done 18:6 or 20:4. Or I could have just done a 24 hour fast one day, eat regularly another day, I mean just to beak up the routine and that could have helped. Now I have to start all over again. This is why I took the time to write this DON'T get discouraged, don't give up, push thru the plateau. Also if you haven't been exercising, do some, if you have been exercising, change your routine, eg add walking, if you were only weight lifting. I'm 57 this year
