He sure loved her. I thought that was so amazing of a man to do . Most people re marry move on , he didn’t! Their house and garden looks amazing.Sad they’re both gone.
My ex husband and I used to snow plow Gene's driveway, after Gilda passed away. He would watch us from the bedroom window. Seeing him wearing a nightshirt and nightcap, waving like a little kid was heartwarming. Gilda used to shop at my first job, she was the nicest woman. You wouldn't ever know they were such famous people.
Madeline khan was a close friend of Gilda’s. She stayed loyal up to the end , for Gilda. Ironically, Madeline died of ovarian cancer within ten years of Gilda.
Hi Scott, Gene Wilder was the best one for Charlie and the chocolate factory. That’s a beautiful property he had. I love all the trees surrounding it. I don’t think I would fancy that busy road out the front. That’s a smart grave site for Gilda Wilder, May she RIP under the tree 💐💐💐. RIP Gene Wilder 💐💐💐🙏. Thank you Scott ❤️❤️✌️🤟🏼👍
I was the demo chef at the Food Emporium in New Canaan when Gilda was sick. Gene would come into the store with his tiny cutie pie dog hiding under Gene's armpit and the dog was so quiet that no one ever knew there was a dog in the store. Gene would always stop to talk to me and I would always give him a container of soup to take home to Gilda. He was a special man with no pretenses. For all that he was going through while the love of his life was dying, he could still look at you with his smiling eyes and want to chat about anything that was on his mind. I'm so glad that he met Karen after Gilda passed. I feel he was the kind of man who needed companionship and I'm glad that he and Karen were in love. I do wonder though if some part of his cremains were sprinkled over Gilda's grave. God bless both of them. They certainly were talented, kind, and caring people.
I grew up in NY when SNL began. Yes, everyone loved Gilda and Rosanne Rosannadanna. Everyone waited for Rosanna. I haven't watched that show since those days. They were both enjoyable talented actors.
one of my friends was lifelong friends with Gilda Radner for decades on working together on SNL. to this day, every first of each month, he always writes "Bunny Bunny" for her. RIP Gilda Radner
Yes, he didn't want kids to see Willy Wonka as a "sick old man". He wanted to keep the magic for them. I think that shows what a big, selfless heart he had.
I was 5 when SNL aired and loved it! I loved it when Eddie Murphy, Martin Short, and Billy Crystal were on. And the 1986-1990 cast will live forever in my heart. Gilda, though, was something special. I remember where I was and what I was doing when the news came over the radio. In my life I've bowed my head four times and wept---Gilda was the first. I can honestly say that the world lost a bit of its sunshine when Gilda passed.
Love love love Gilda. Her memoir, ''It's Always Something'' is my favorite book of all time. It's ironic that after all these years have passed and now I am dealing with the same cancer that took her life way too early. Thank you for this wonderful video. You're the best Scott.
I read Gilda's book also! That story she told regarding the umbrella and the shoes hanging from it has never left me! Rest in peace Gilda and Gene! You are still loved and remembered! ❤❤
@@christine-q5k I ❤️ that book it helped through my own ordeal of pre ovarian cancer scare giving me the strength and laughter. Btw laughter is a great non invasive healer. Thank you Gilda and Gene for sharing all . R.I.P. the celestial 💥non stop comedy is roaring.
I loved Gilda and gene. Gene didn't like the remake of Willy Wonka. Charlie and the chocolate factory. He said it was all about the money. I agree. Love to both of them . ❤️❤️
I started watching SNL in the first year it was on. I guess it would have been in the last 70's early 80's. I found it just flipping channels on Saturday Night! OMG it was hilarious! I loved Gilda, she was the best! Carol Burnett and Gilda Radner are two of the very best female comedians of all times ❤ Love you Scott! Take care and safe travels ❤️ Connecticut is beautiful this time of year!!
Same here. I was flipping through the channels looking for something to watch. It was addictive! I remember Chevy Chase say pot on tv and I was shocked! Not on tv! Lol. different times!
My wife and soulmate Tracie of 25 years passed away in 2021, so I can definitely relate to the love Gene and Gilda shared in this life and now in the next, which I will with Tracie someday soon enough. Pleasantly surprised that the address on the mailbox of their house is 476. My wife Tracie was born April, 1976, love it when little moments like that happen. Thanks for the video, great job as always.
My SNL ERA was definitely Gilda Radner, Steve Martin (wild and crazy guy) and many others. That is when I was a teen and started my SNL love. Which I still love it today!
I loved Gene Wilder films, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory was brilliant. Gilda was only 42 when she passed, They didn’t have long together did they. Very sad. Thank you Scott for this video.🤗🥰
They loved each other so very much... I am glad they are together again in Heaven. Gene and Gilda were always the best of comedy... so funny but yet classy! Once again, Scott, so very good and so respectful. And on a small side note, SNL has never been the same since the Not Ready for Prime Time Players are gone.
Love, love, love Gilda Radner. I feel a special affinity to her. Gene did some wonderful work when he lost her to start Gilda's Clubs to help women suffering from ovarian cancer. The two of them found something very very special. So sad they didn't have more time together. She'd no doubt of laughed at your out take at the end. Thank you for covering this. Loved the plaque 'Comedienne and Ballerina'. She had a good time :-)
A funny story came to mind when you said everyone loved Gilda. My aunt- not so much. She lived below her in an apartment in LA, I believe. it was after SNL, but Gilda was going to tap dance in whatever her next venture was at the time. She would tap dance waayyy into the night/ early morning and kept my aunt up all night. Seems like my aunt complained, but nothing was done. It's ok, though. It was Gilda after all, and we do love her and Gene Wilder! ❤ RIP
I loved Gene in Blazing Saddles and all of his other roles. Gilda was so funny too, she had awesome characters on SNL. What a beautiful home and nice gravesite for them.
Gilda knew she was sick but was undiagnosed until it was too late. She was a wonderful woman, such a shame she left so soon. Gene should have been with her, she was the love of his life. The original cast was the best
Gilda did not die in vain. He case brought to the forefront the use of CT scan in gynecology cases. A CT scan saved my daughter in laws life. I have no doubt. She had uterine and ovarian cancer that had spread to her omentum (the fatty lining before the muscles of the stomach). God bless Gilda.
They were both greats of entertainment. Gilda Radner as "Roseanne Roseannadanna" I remember well from SNL. Classic! Very sad her life was cut short from being sick with cancer. She would have done so much more in entertainment. Gene was a legend as well. The end of a comedy era. I had to stop your video and look closely at 13:39. I thought marijuana was growing around the tree. I counted the leaves and ruled that out. Thanks for the video, Scott.
Hi Scott, yeah, I remember G.E. Smith he plays guitar. I remember SNL's first year, my grandma would come upstairs and say, chile, what are you laughing at so hard 😂😂
Thanks Scott, Just caught up on XYZ & now watching Gilda & Gene. Thanks for all you do. Connecticut is beautiful. Seeing their house & knowing you love SNL as much as I do… Gilda & Gene were top of the notch & a great love story. REST EASY Gilda & Gene. 🙏🏽🌻💜🥰~Anita3kids
Well considering I'm 60 I don't have to mention what my fav SNL seasons are. Hint 1: in the words of... Rosanne Rosanna Danna🗣️ "Oh Todd You Pizza Face." Hint 2: Hi I'm Buckwheat, Amemba me? Singing... 🎶"Wookin' Pa Nub In Aw Da Wong Places..."🎶😂🤣 And I could be wrong but but judging by my phone that mailbox looks like the "Starry Night" painting by Van Gogh. Btw, I liked the ending... 🤭 Are you sure you tripped or did the person of that headstone trip you!? 😅I'm not superstitious either but I do believe in ghosts! IJS 👻🙃
Loved both Gene and Gilda. Gene will always be the only Willy Wonka for me. Loved him in Silverstreak and Young Frankenstein too. He had beautiful eyes too. Thanks Scott, your story was very respectful and loving ❤
I loved this couple. My favorite movie they made together was and still is Haunted Honeymoon. I cried when Gilda died. I am surprised Gene wasn't buried with her but maybe some of his ashes are with her. Rest in Peace Gilda and Gene together again.
Ty for showing us their resting place. Their house and garden looks amazing. He sure loved her and she him. It’s sad how cruel life can be for some it seems. True love they should have had many years together than what they got. At least though they did get it. Some live a lifetime and don’t have a soul to live them half of what They had. I found Gene to be an amazing man. He didn’t move on or remarry that’s how much he loved her..❤❤ wonderful couple wish more were like these two!
Gilda Radner and Gene Wilder were a wonderful couple, I read Gilda's book, and it brought me to tears. They had such a beautiful love story; it was so sad when she passed after her strong fight. My favorite cast was the original one, I am 62 now and they were the seasons I watched. Thank you, Scott for visiting their home and Gilda's grave. I am going to visit her later in the fall.
I was getting ready to graduate from HS when she was popular!! I loved SNL and raced home Saturday night to watch it! Mr. Bill and Gilda were my favs😊. Thanks Scott!
I love the original cast that what I grew up with. It's hard to believe it's been so long. The talent that comes out of all the casts over the years is amazing . All my favorites came from Saturday night live. We all can remember certain skits like " more cow bell!" And may other that left us laughing so hard . The ones who are no longer here are in our collective memories living still making us laugh with the characters they portrayed. Those who have gone on to do bigger and better things we still enjoy . So much talent so many funny people love them all. ❤
One of my favorite skits with her was "Hey...you"...funny lady,RIP to her and Gene..🕊the first seasons were the best because it was all new and you didn't know what to expect...
And it is one my favorite sNL comedians and one of my favorite actors from many movies that I’ve seen . So they both are my favorite couples . Rip Gilda Rip Gene

17:14 I remember the day John Belushi died. They had live radio coverage when he was being rushed to the hospital. They thought he was choking on a chicken bone… :/ RIP John, Gilda and of of course GENE!!!¡¡¡ Thanks again Scott for covering the legends!¡ Your a trooper bruh :)
My home state. I didn’t know they had a house in Stamford. I used to drive those roads all the time as a Visiting Nurse. Thanks for showing this. There are a lot of celebrities that live in Westport and Greenwich CT.
Another great video. There is a Gilda's Club a few miles from my home in Michigan. They are cancer support locations started after her passing by Gene Wilder and her friends. They have been providing services for adult & child cancer patients for the last 40 years.
Thank you so much for this video. I really loved them both. She really loved Gene so much. I had just turned 19 yrs old when she passed. I remember that day still. RIP to them both🕯🪽🕊 they are together again. ♥️♥️
At 14, that was 1994 for me. One of the best era’s for SNL. Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Mike Myers, David Spade, Kevin Nealon, Tim Meadows, Norm MacDonald, Phil Hartman, Rob Schneider,
I had no idea they lived in CT or that they were buried in Stanford CT. I'll have to go visit Gilda's grave. I always say "BUNNY BUNNY" because she did!❤❤ What an icon.
The mailbox is the famous painting called Starry Night.
Yes I came to say this😊
I thought so!
Van Gogh.
Vincent van Gogh. 🙏🌟✨🌒🌑
Love you channel Scott...
Happy holidays to you and your family sir.
Can you imagine how many times Gene sat on that bench to visit Gilda after she passed?! Love of a lifetime! RIp to them both!
I was thinking that too!
never thought of that
He sure loved her. I thought that was so amazing of a man to do . Most people re marry move on , he didn’t! Their house and garden looks amazing.Sad they’re both gone.

Madeline khan was a close friend of Gilda’s. She stayed loyal up to the end , for Gilda.

Remember when Gene did the series it was “Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory” because Charlie was the little boy who Willy left the factory to.
How did Gene Wilder die ?

17:14 I remember the day John Belushi died. They had live radio coverage when he was being rushed to the hospital. They thought he was choking on a chicken bone… :/ RIP John, Gilda and of of course GENE!!!¡¡¡
Thanks again Scott for covering the legends!¡ Your a trooper bruh :)
My home state. I didn’t know they had a house in Stamford. I used to drive those roads all the time as a Visiting Nurse. Thanks for showing this. There are a lot of celebrities that live in Westport and Greenwich CT.
I'm always amazed how simple some of these headstones are for the people who were so well known and famous in life.
Hi Scott, my favorite SNL cast members were the days with Kevin Nealon, Dana Carvey, Chris Farley, and Jan Hooks.
RIP to Jan Hooks as well. Died too young as well…
My favorite cast is the very first cast. But, than again, I was around back then when the show first started.
God rest their souls🌹
I was a senior in high school in the first season. It was the best.
LOVED Gene & Gilda! Loved them as a Couple too! VERY funny people! RIP GENE & GILDA!!! Great stuff Scott! watch that step!! LOL!!
Gene Wilder was and still is my favorite celebrity. It was so nice to get to see a glimpse of where he lived. Thanks for sharing.
Keep the bloopers - I've always loved them
Another great video.
Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Mike Myers, David Spade, Kevin Nealon, Tim Meadows, Norm MacDonald, Phil Hartman, Rob Schneider,
I live in Connecticut about 40 mins from where you were! So glad you visited my State! ❤ My hubby is from Toronto. Born there 😊
Toronto ! 💯💯🇨🇦🇨🇦
What a cool video about two unforgettable legends, thank you so much for showing us.💖🙏
I had no idea they lived in CT or that they were buried in Stanford CT. I'll have to go visit Gilda's grave. I always say "BUNNY BUNNY" because she did!❤❤ What an icon.
thank you for showing this video RIP to both of them are so wonderful and loved by us all
