I love Eevee, and there's actually a story behind it. In my playthrough of Platinum as a kid, my team was basically horrible and not at all good enough to take on Cynthia. So, instead of just training them, I made an entirely new team of just eeveelutions. I spent a year playing with them and exploring the region, going on all sorts of adventures and leveling them up in preparation for Cynthia. Umbreon in particular was able to beat her garchomp by stalling it out. It's basically the pokemon of my childhood.
I had an umbreon which was the only way i could defeat cynthia (in bdsp rather than bs tho) it used foul play and did a one shot lol
"I don't understand my own feelings well enough to put them in a way that I can describe" I have both autism and ADHD, and this is how I feel whenever people ask me personal questions. I can picture it, but trying to describe what it is, all I "see" is an Inkblot test. There is no right answer.
I actually have that exact combination of autism and adhd and This comment just speaks to me. And no, I’m not one of those stupid self diagnosed idiot who will decided that it’s quirky ):. But yes feelings are just are. It’s I like this I like that, I can’t really rank them, I just like them all.
I also have this problem there I can "see" my inner thoughts and feeling, but can't describe them out loud.
Don't even know if I have that but that is exactly how I feel.

But parasect isnt even the pokemon. The poor thing is a husk the POKEMON is the fungus on it which horrifies me. On the flip side it gives weight to the saying when you hate something burn it with fire

My favorite is Farfetch'd... since I was a kid I thought it was hilarious that it used a leek as a weapon and the hilarity to me only increased as I became an adult.
Some of my favs are incinaroar, torracat, and litten because of the fact that i started with ultra moon and i chose litten. Been with me the whole time, and i spoil incinaroar way to much! (Level 44)

Rewatched this, and your pick of Roserade as number 1 reminded me a bit of why Lucario is my favorite. Gen 4 I never saw it, but b2w2 i got it early and it helped me so much, then xy gave me Mega Lucario, and that sold it for me.

I adore Banette's lore and design. Read the Pokédex entries, look at it. It's perfect.
Most of my favorites come from gen 3 and 4. But I grab a few each generation.
Human brains can be pretty predictable.We like patterns.We like the same thing but also a bit different.
Also,roserade is a flower pokemon that isnt overly cute and that is the best thing ever.

When you were describing the piplup line as your favorite line I thought of the budew line as mine just because of the way of evolving it and also the aesthetic. Seeing the roserade love afterwards validated that they are indeed cool.

The bulbasaur is my favorite starter. I loved dinosaurs when I was little and the huge majestic Venusaur just made me super excited. And bulba is just so cute. Raichu is a close second, because it’s usually outshone by Pikachu, but Raichu is bigger and stronger and I just have a big affinity with electric types. I usually lean toward electric and grass for favorites.
My favorite Pokémon is Snowy or Alola Vupix. It cute,adorable and when first saw it. It was love at first sight.

I"m not allowed to have a cat cause my mom is allergic. The envy is over 9000
you think thats bad? i have 3 indoor cats and about 5~7 outdoor cats currently. the outdoor ones are all friendly except for this black one that wont let you pet it but it gets along with the rest. neighborhoods popping in some new houses nearby and the cats are trying to find refuge.
i do love cats though. im not a crazy cat person i swear. but the outdoor cats do a damn good job of keeping pests away, they even fight raccoons time to time.

personally my favorite pokemon has always been zigzagoon, i dont know why something is just so charming about it, and with the regeonal varient of it in pokemon sword and sheild is just going to make my love for it even better!
Duskull is my favorite! A recurring best friend for me during the hardest part of my life.
I've struggled a lot socially since Covid and have gone back to my roots a bit finding an escape in the world of Pokemon. A drawing of a regional variant I made was my final art project for my drawing class and my proudest work ever.
He was the very first pokemon I caught after losing my pokemon go account of 3 years (a lot of great memories with old friends), and Dusky has been my best buddy in the game since.
Plus the whole 1 eye, 2 eyeholes deal is sick.

10 - Magearna. the aesthetic of magearna is what makes me like it the most, it's just a cute little thing.
9 - Aegislash. Whoever this sword recognises, becomes king. that's just awesome.
8 - Noibat. It's the only cute " bat" pokemon in the game imo, and it looks snuggly.
7 - Gardevior. Just always loved it. and the shiny version is so dang gorgeous.
6 - Weavile/Sneasel. i don't think i can pinpoint why i love these two besides just their dark/red appearance.
5 - Breloom/Shroomish. shroomish is by far one of the cutest pokemons in the game, and breloom's are able to stretch their arms while having the skills of a PRO-BOXER.
4 - Umbreon. because of pokemon gales of darkness tbh.
3 - Tyranitar/Larvitar. larvitar is an adorable pokemon that has to eat its way out from underground, its birthplace. tyranitars are able to eat WHOLE mountains! also loved tyranitar from the celebi movie.
2 - Absol. the disaster pokemon, able to foresee when something /disastrous/ is going to happen and forewarns people. he's a misunderstood soul that only wants to help u.u
1 - Volcarona/Larvesta. Larvesta is known as the Torch pokemon, and Volcarona is known as the SUN pokemon. once believed to nest on the sun, Larvesta are able to be as hot as 5,500 degress F. Volcarona, in ancient times by the people, were referred to as, "The rage of the sun".
That car is a monster! Just look at how it pushed the snorlax over with ease, and then somehow being picked up by just a regular grown man! OMG!

I love necrozma because of the challenge ultra necrozma provided in ultra sun/Ultra moon. Also it has such a great design in both forms.
I love zygarde because its design origins of all its forms are amazing. Fun fact about me I’m a big mythology nut and any Pokémon that is based on mythology I can love that Pokémon. Also the anime really made me love this Pokémon.
I love empoleon because the first game I ever beat was Pokémon platinum and I’ll say this no battle has ever been as close as when I beat Cynthia. It was down to our last two Pokémon I had empoleon and Cynthia had roserade I clicked hydro pump and it connected I swear I felt like I was in the anime at that moment. If hydro pump had missed or empoleon was slower I would’ve lost because my empoleon was at 8 hp, but since I was little back then I didn’t see it that way I saw it as the bond between me and empoleon.
I love sableye because it’s based on the hopkinsville goblin. Also it’s got diamonds for eyes. Another fun fact about me I have a huge collection of precious minerals and fossils.
I love weavile not just because of its design, but also because I love ninjas. Almost every Halloween I dress up as a ninja and weavile was the closest thing to a ninja we got for a while.
I love silvally not just because of its design, but also because gladion has one and he’s my second favorite rival. Also full metal alchemist brotherhood is my second favorite anime and silvally is a chimera so yeah.
I love Lucario because every time I play through black 2 or white 2 I always get a riolu and evolve it. People ask me why I don’t try something else and I answer I just have a connection with Lucario.
I love Greninja for the same reasons I love weavile, however Greninja also reminds me of jiraiya from naruto which is my favorite anime of all.
I love darkrai because of its design, but also because of the movie Pokémon the rise of darkrai. Seeing darkrai give up its life for the people made me cry at that moment I won’t deny it.
I love Garchomp for many reasons 1. It’s design is awesome. 2. It’s design origin is so amazing. 3. Cynthia from both game and anime made me love this Pokémon. 4. That moment from the anime in the team galactic arc when Cynthia comes in and Jupiter is about to throw her pokeball and Cynthia’s Garchomp has its claws at Jupiter’s neck ready to strike if she tries anything. That is one of if not the best moment in the anime in my opinion.
Also it’s hard for me to choose a 20th favorite pokemon. It’s so hard to choose between Milotic, Escavalier, and Hoopa.

roselia and its line is great, I love the one with the poison point ability. I had a Roselia in black and white 2, and it was what I used to catch all the lengendaries
When Pokemon was first debuting, I remember seeing an ad showing an orange dragon with a burning tail & breathing fire. Somehow I knew that one would be my favorite... & still is!

My love for Skitty also came from the fact I love cats and Mystery Dungeon was one of my fav games ever and I would always get skitty for my test. So of course I started using them for my teams occasionally and the love just grew.
I like the Piplup line too. Picked that one in both Pearl and Platinum (Oceana and Fel, respectively). Also had a Luxray in my team in Pearl named Raineko.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO SO MUCH IT'S SO ADORABLE!!! My favourite pokemon is, obviously, Kirlia, with Galladevoir joint second. Third is probably Rayquaza and Deoxys eternally fighting. Well done Deoxys for managing to be good without being green. The rest of my top ten is predominantly green or thereabouts, and my favourites of your favourites are easily Trevenant, Roserade and Cacturne. Morally ambiguous plant people yesss. Magearna and the Rowlet line get an honourable mention because one is essentially Clockwork Gardevoir and I love grass owls, but I haven't actually played Sun yet so we'll see!

As a practicing occultist/grown man, i really appreciate not being the only person recognizing the occult symbolism littering the pokemon world. Gen 6 was allll about alchemy and the philosophers stone... Would you do a video pointing out all of the hidden occult stuff? There may be more of us out there... Extremely in love with pokemon...
I used Maractus on my first playthrough of White, so I have do have some attachment to it. Krookodile was also on that team, and I loved it.
On a totally unrelated note, even though I have never used it, I really like Seviper. I don't really know why, I just think its design is really cool.
